Phreesia emerges as the best among the choices

Pros

We had a great experience designing the platform and working with the Phreesia team to customize it exactly the way we wanted. They were really flexible and made it specific to our practice. Also the Phreesia team is quite knowledgeable and helpful, which made the whole process smooth. They even improved the patient experience with features like reminder calls, self-check-in kiosks, digitizing patient documents, online portal payments and customizable patient satisfaction surveys.

Cons

Phreesia might be too expensive for smaller practices but it works well for our medium/large office. However, we have noticed that the customer success reps tend to change frequently after implementation, which can be a bit disruptive.

Exceptional and worth recommending

Pros

The training was amazing! The support team made us feel really comfortable, knowing she will be there to teach us anything we needed. She guided us through the first day and was always available whenever we had questions. One of the best things about Med Clarity is the ability to send blast messages, set up self-check-in and handle online payments. And these features really help boost patient engagement and make administrative tasks a lot easier.

My take on Phreesia

Pros

Well the option to verify patients insurance before their office visit is such a valuable feature to me of Med Clarity.

Cons

One limitation is that we can't save a card on file unless the patient is scheduled for the same day.

We saw revenue growth during Phreesia's trial and were so impressed!!!

Pros

The seamless integration with eCW EMR and how efficiently it handles administrative tasks really make Med Clarity an invaluable tool for our practice. Features like automated consent form distribution, copayment collection and customizable payment plans have made a huge difference in our workflow and revenue collection.

Cons

It would be really helpful if Phreesia had a patient self-scheduling feature that integrates with eCW. Right now, patients request appointments through a Phreesia form and we have to manually enter them into our EMR.

We have seen betterment in our practice - Thanks to Phreesia

Pros

Our experience has been great so far. I have used it at other practices too, and it 's been awesome every time. We still have some patients who won't use it, but the number of those who do and love it definitely outweighs that. Some of the biggest benefits we have found with Med Clarity include ease of use, patient engagement tools, shorter wait times and less paperwork.

Cons

We've encountered challenges with co-pays and their posting, which may be an internal issue.

A resourceful tool

Pros

Med Clarity's insurance verification, appointment reminders, patient communication and payment features have been key in improving our practice's efficiency and boosting revenue collection.

Cons

Every now and then, patients mention they are receiving too many communications. I also wish Phreesia offered better integration with the EHR, not just saving documents as PDFs. It would be really helpful if Phreesia could also identify credit balances more easily.

Saves us time

Pros

Phreesia has been a huge time saver for our office. Most patients fill out their paperwork before they even arrive and everything gets uploaded straight into Compulink. Plus the front office no longer spends hours confirming appointments and the insurance department doesn't need to check eligibility across different websites. Billing and collections have improved too, with most patients paying their copay and any outstanding balance before they even step into the office. I cannot say enough about how much Phreesia has helped as it is truly made a big difference in how efficiently our office runs.

Pros

Phreesia has played a huge role in helping our practice transition to a digital environment, especially during the pandemic. Its constant updates, easy to use interface and active involvement with users through programs like the Beta program have been really impressive.

Cons

Phreesia's support team can be a bit impatient at times, and I really wish there was more flexibility to customize things without needing their help so much. It would also be great to see improvements in self-scheduling, avoiding duplicate accounts and making appointment confirmations smoother.

Failed to deliver, what was promised

Pros

The integration with our PM system (Modernizing Medicine) is really poor and does not work as advertised. Both patients and staff constantly deal with errors and issues. The connectivity is also a problem mainly on busy days when we are checking in multiple patients at once, their check-ins sometimes don't show up in the EMR system, creating double the work for everyone.

Cons

Patients often tell the front desk they have finished check-in, but it doesn't show up on the dashboard which gets pretty frustrating.

Pros

One thing we like the most about this software is that patients are given their mandatory forms and agreements 10 days before their appointment, so they can fill them out comfortably at home.

Cons

Not having a copy feature for Communication Templates means I have to set up each section from scratch, and it is quite a tedious process.
