“smooth notes and e-prescribing”
Pros
Quite easy to operate. I can complete my progress notes and send prescriptions electronically without any hassle.
Cons
I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about it.

“Good value for money”
Pros
Once the initial note templates are set up, charting becomes very simple and follow-up notes are especially quick to complete. Having scheduling, e-prescribing and online booking all integrated in one place is a huge advantage. It's also affordable and offers really good value. Since everything is online, forms can be sent to patients very easily for signatures and the secure portal messaging is simple to use.
Cons
Getting the templates set up feels a little complex and isn't very user-friendly at the beginning. The lab integration has also been slow and I still haven't been able to get it configured even after spending quite a bit of time on it. It would also save a lot of time if the PMP controlled-substance monitoring website could be integrated.

“Cooperative support team”
Pros
The note setup matches the way I was already documenting before switching which made the transition feel natural. I also appreciate having the option to write more free-form, unstructured notes when needed. Billing has been simple and the support team has been consistently helpful.
Cons
The part I like least is the Dr. First prescription program.

“Reliable HIPAA-compliant solution”
Pros
At the moment, I'm using the free version to keep my client charts stored electronically and it does the job in a HIPAA-compliant way.
Cons
The free version doesn't let you use your own form templates.

“incredible tech support”
Pros
It is easy to understand and the overall workflow feels very user-friendly. Their tech support is excellent too, even when I've had really basic questions.
Cons
accounting section still has some room for improvement although the recent upgrade made a huge difference.

“Thoughtful design for psychiatrists”
Pros
A lot about it really suited my practice and made it appealing to use. The interface was pleasant to look at which made working in it feel more comfortable day to day. Since it was built by and for psychiatrists, setting everything up to match the way my practice runs was very simple. The progress note and intake templates fit my needs perfectly and the superbills were formatted correctly as well. Customer support was another strong point, they were consistently quick to respond and genuinely helpful. I also really valued being able to handle customer service through email since replying that way is much more convenient for me than having to make a phone call.
Cons
Integrations were probably the area where Luminello had the most room for improvement although I could tell they were actively making progress during the time I used it. Some integrations only functioned if the patient portal was set up such as doxy.me and getting e-prescribing configured could be frustrating at times because it required going through Luminello customer support as a middle step. I also wish there had been integration with Google Calendar since that would have made scheduling much easier when I couldn't access the Luminello calendar, especially from my phone. On top of that, the mobile interface could be awkward to use at times.

“Effortless transition”
Pros
Switching from paper records to an electronic system with this has gone really well. It also gives enough flexibility to try things out and figure out what setup fits best.
Cons
Because I needed to move to an electronic system quickly, I did not get much time to dig into all the details that could have made the product work even better for me.

“Complete solution”
Pros
Everything I need is in one place and that's what I appreciate most about this software. It's very user-friendly overall and lets me handle telehealth, take payments and keep all of my notes together in a single system.
Cons
A few features do take some time to learn and it isn't completely user-friendly right away. That said, the customer service is phenomenal and really helps when questions come up.

“Simple to create assessments”
Pros
Getting around the platform feels simple and it doesn't take much time to figure things out. Creating assessments and treatment plans is also very simple and efficient.
Cons
Keeping track of undocumented sessions can be frustrating. It also doesn't let you build forms for tools like PHQ-9, GAD-7 and other screening assessments.

“Comprehensive EMR”
Pros
Having everything in one place is what makes this product so valuable to me. All the client information, reporting tools and telehealth features are together which helps keep the business organized and the whole process clean and manageable. It's also updated regularly so it stays current with what you need.
Cons
The reporting is available but the lack of customization is a downside. My side of the business and workflow need more tailored report options so I would really need that capability to make it fit better.

“convenient therapy appointments online”
Pros
Being able to schedule my appointments and have video sessions with my therapist has been the most valuable part of this software. It's incredibly convenient, especially during times when getting out into the world and handling normal daily routines has been difficult.
Cons
I don't have any complaints about this software because it's been so helpful.

“Keeps my practice professional”
Pros
Coming from a pen-and-paper therapy practice, the initial setup felt a little tedious though I think that would have happened with any electronic records system. Once I got past that stage, using it day to day with both existing and new clients has helped me keep my practice much more professional and organized. It's user-friendly and includes a lot of useful features, including forms, templates and assessments.
Cons
I assume there may be an option for group sessions if you upgrade to the Telehealth platform but I still haven't been able to figure that out. I'd really like the ability to hold a group meeting with several colleagues or supervisees.

“calendar feature is a plus”
Pros
Keeping everything in one electronic system has been really helpful and the platform is simple to use. It does a lot to keep me organized and cuts down on the stress that usually comes with managing paperwork. The calendar feature has also been a big plus since it helps me stay on schedule and on track.
Cons
At times, it can be difficult to figure out where certain documents are stored. When I need to add to or edit paperwork, finding my full list of documents is not always very clear or convenient.

“Dependable telehealth platform”
Pros
Right away, the biggest wins with it were the organized consent forms, the dependable telehealth platform, the extensive forms library and how quickly I'm able to add new clients. The system is incredibly user-friendly and getting everything integrated for the 20+ clients I loaded in at the start was very simple.
Cons
The area that has been the most frustrating is billing, especially trying to keep cards from being charged for missed appointments. I've also had a few surprises with reminders, where they were either sent too often or not often enough.

“Issues with insurance billing”
Pros
Compared with Theranest, I chose this one because the mobile app was more capable. Getting everything set up didn't take much effort and the platform felt fairly user-friendly overall. I also appreciated being able to upload my own documents and share them as handouts with clients.
Cons
A major problem came up with insurance billing. Claims for one of my primary insurers, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia, kept being rejected because of the clearinghouse they use so the claims never actually reached BCBSGA. Their clearinghouse also didn't connect with Availity which is something clearinghouses really need to support. On top of that, the price increased by $20 per month only a few months after I signed up and customer service was not especially quick to respond.

“custom intake forms”
Pros
Custom intake forms and other customizable paperwork are a big plus and the interface is very simple to use. The messaging system works well, it has been consistently reliable without glitches and linking it from a website so clients can request appointments is simple and convenient.
Cons
there's no phone support and it also doesn't include e-labs, faxing or a referral feature.

“Detailed solution”
Pros
Having the core services I use most built into a single platform is really helpful and keeps everything in one place.
Cons
I still need a quicker way to email all active clients at once and I'd also like the option to hold video sessions with multiple clients.

“Cost effective platform”
Pros
The pricing is much more affordable than Therabill which has been a big plus. Another thing I appreciated is that they were able to transfer my client list into their system which made the switch a lot more convenient.
Cons
With certain insurance companies, the process involves complicated forms that have to be emailed, scanned or faxed which ends up delaying the ERA receipts. It would be much better if they could simplify that process.

“Handy training resources”
Pros
I find it easy to handle and the training resources do a really good job of guiding you through each step. Billing is simple to set up and is more affordable than many other clearinghouses. The notes are clear and uncomplicated which helps keep documentation manageable. It has saved me both time and money overall. The telehealth feature has also been especially valuable during Shelter In Place and has honestly been a lifesaver for my practice.
Cons
Telehealth can sometimes cut out, depending on either my internet connection or my client's. I also have to send the links again every week which gets a little repetitive.

“Indispensable for my business”
Pros
Since my practice shifted entirely to telehealth during the pandemic, it has become a core part of how I run my business. Having billing, scheduling and telehealth all integrated in one EHR has been incredibly valuable and the platform keeps improving with regular updates as needs continue to change.
Cons
A few small billing-related features, especially around code modifiers, could still use some improvement but customer service has been fast and responsive whenever I've needed help.
