Pros
I love how simple and user-friendly SimplePractice is, especially for new mental health professionals adjusting to the business side of mental health services.
Cons
I find billing to be tricky, especially as a beginner not familiar with the process. The reminders can feel overwhelming, and I think a more organized structure would be helpful.

Its simple to use with a straightforward calendar. The videos are HIPAA compliant which therapists prefer. Having everything in one place notes charts intake forms assessments insurance codes and superbills is great.
Cons
Occasionally I encounter issues with the video function often requiring cache clearance. Moreover clients sometimes fail to receive the video link.

SimplePractice has been instrumental in getting my coaching business off the ground. Setting up appointments and billing options is easy and helpful especially when starting a business can feel overwhelming. The platform integrates seamlessly with my Apple and Google calendars sends reminders and links to clients and the billing system works smoothly.
Cons
Ive experienced glitches with the reminder app and sometimes additional features from the phone app dont transfer to the system as a whole.

“Difficult Practice
Pros
In my experience SimplePractice makes it incredibly difficult to cancel your subscription which seems deliberate. Their platform is substandard not simple to use yet they make it simple for them to keep collecting your money. Ive had no success reaching out for help even from their bots. Im unable to end my subscription and Ill be forced to pay for another month for a service I no longer use. Legal action may be my only option.

“Very Helpful But Some Issues
Pros
I find SimplePractice fairly easy to use with effective scheduling and a relatively simple billing process. However there are a couple of issues as Ill mention in the cons section. Typically the video quality is decent and the ability to drag and drop appointments is great.
Cons
Regarding billing when I have a new client it defaults to cash instead of their card on file leading to confusion when trying to rectify it. The interface for billing isnt intuitive and clients need to download the app prior to sessions if attending via cell phone.
