Pros
The platform allows you to customize intake forms, diagnostic codes, billing forms, and scheduling. You can also use a secure patient portal to send patients a secure link to sign consent forms, make payments with a credit card, schedule sessions, and conduct secure telehealth visits according to HIPAA guidelines. Additionally, the platform supports insurance billing.
Cons
Simple Practice is primarily meant for mental health professionals and non-MDs. As a psychiatrist, it fulfills most of my requirements for a telepsych practice but not all. For instance, e-prescribing, lab order, and lab result reviewing are not possible using Simple Practice. However, it was never marketed to support these features. As I am just starting my practice, I will use paper scripts as a temporary solution. However, if a patient requires Clozaril, Lithium, or Delante, I will need to find another service that offers lab ordering and reviewing capabilities. Simple Practice is a great platform for psychotherapists who dont prescribe as it offers all the necessary features. However, for psychiatrists, it only covers about 2/3 of the required functions. I wouldnt recommend it for internal medicine, family medicine, or endocrinology as it is not tailored to physicians. The reason I chose it is because of its telehealth feature, billing simplification, and the ability to collect payments without handling cash.

Pros
What I love most is the ease of use! SimplePractice is incredibly user-friendly. If the documents I need arent already available I can easily create them.
Cons
There isnt much negative about SimplePractice. Ive encountered a few minor glitches with the TX plans but theyre easily overcome.

Pros
SimplePractice is a lifesaver for doctors who prescribe medication or therapy to patients and clients. It allows easy access to client information online diagnoses appointment fixing and includes a reminder feature to ensure nothing is forgotten.
Cons
In my experience there are some bugs that need immediate resolution.

Pros
The platform is easy to use since everything is located in one place. In my experience, the platform is reliable, although I havent used the telehealth feature. It is also straightforward to use.
Cons
I had to pay the highest tier price just because I wanted to keep calendar syncing. Although I dont use the telehealth, everything else was available under the mid tier price. Additionally, its not possible to speak with customer service as all queries must be searched for in their FAQ sections.

Pros
Ive been using SimplePractice for years and I never consider leaving. Its user-friendly for both myself and my clients with great templates that make my job easier. The video quality has improved significantly over time and issues are rare.
Cons
Rates have been gradually increasing almost doubling over the past few years. Revising documents can also be cumbersome.

Pros
The patient portal is excellent and very helpful. Medical billing is smooth and electronic medical records are well-managed. Appointment scheduling is also easy and helpful.
Cons
Claims management could be better and improvements are needed in charting and remittance advice. Practice management is good but could be enhanced further.

I find SimplePractice incredibly user-friendly and intuitive. Its easy to teach to clients and it handles most of the tasks I need for my business. The client portal is easy to use according to my clients and includes a chat feature.
Cons
I wish the middle tier offered certain features like calendar syncing without having to upgrade to the top tier. Also being able to supervise other users accounts without a separate email address would be beneficial.

“Avoid at all costs, very poor support and prices, rising all the time for no reason
Pros
This has been the worst experience. Getting support from a human is nearly impossible everything is forced to be done online wasting a lot of time. Theyre saving money but not passing any savings onto customers while raising prices.
Cons
Its the most expensive option out there and the prices keep increasing while offering fewer options.
