“excellent features”
Pros
The tool covers pretty much everything a mental health practice typically needs, whether you want to keep things minimal or go into more depth. It feels flexible enough to match how detailed each clinician wants to be.
Cons
The only real downside I can think of is that if you decide to get more detailed later like adding income charts or expense reports you may run into a small learning curve. Still, it's definitely manageable.

“great healthcare management”
Pros
As a new user, I was able to get around SimplePractice without much trouble. It feels like a solid, all in one tool for healthcare management, with a lot of useful features packed in. Also, the customer support has been genuinely helpful when I've had questions.
Cons
Pricing is pretty steep. The invoicing setup didn't work as well as I expected. Also, it seems better suited for solo providers rather than larger companies.

“accurate calorie tracking”
Pros
Tracking my daily calories has felt simple thanks to a food database you can fill in as you go. It also kept all the records my doctor shared which was really convenient and made follow ups a lot easier.
Cons
It would be even better if it synced more smoothly with other apps, like MyFitnessPal.

The platform includes a solid range of features and I also really like that it supports hosting a group private practice through the software.

“Great syncing”
Pros
It has basically all the bells and whistles and the whole setup feels well thought out. It also syncs smoothly with the tools you rely on so it fits into the workflow without much hassle.
Cons
Cost wise, it's pretty steep compared to other EHR options and their customer service seems just average rather than outstanding.

“easy to use”
Pros
Love how quickly I can pull up the information I need and how user friendly the system is. It's actually practical enough that I can schedule appointments and add notes to my clients' charts without wasting time. The Wiley notes have been a lifesaver and honestly help me come across a lot more polished.
Cons
Some of the templates I've used at other companies don't carry over well so they aren't universal enough to apply in every area I work in.

“support team makes setup smooth”
Pros
Best part of SimplePractice for me has been the support team. Whenever I had questions, they got back to me and helped walk through things especially during the initial setup. The onboarding itself felt simple and painless which made getting started a lot less stressful.
Cons
The part I've been least happy with is the clearing house. Back in February there was a major breach and it really threw things off payments were hard to track and the ERA information was difficult to view.

“simple workflow”
Pros
Simple Practice feels pretty simple and genuinely user friendly. The setup process is convenient too which helps cut down on the extra stress that can come with new software and it makes it easier to correct mistakes when they happen. That combination could be especially useful for therapists particularly those who handle super bills or take private payments.
Cons
Accidentally deleting entries is a hassle, mainly when you're rushing or there's someone waiting in the room since getting things back isn't very simple. The calendar could use better templates so you're not stuck typing everything in manually because the current setup ends up taking more administrative time than it should. It would also help if updates could be applied in bulk one action covering multiple changes instead of forcing everything to be done one item at a time.

“outstanding support”
Pros
The product name says enough SimplePractice really does deliver. After setup, it's simple to use and the customer support stands out. They actually listen and they run communities where you can share suggestions; those ideas aren't just ignored updates get made based on what customers request. Also, the template library is huge. You can use ready made options for assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, policies and plenty of other documentation and you can also create your own templates. They also host free trainings for their customers, with the ability to earn CE credits if you choose. Overall, it's an impressive platform and feels worth every penny. Even when considering calendar integrations, I expected it to be standard for a tool meant to make office management smoother but other platforms don't offer the same option. That comparison is what really confirmed I made the right choice.
Cons
Not much to complain about. The only real issue I'm running into is that bulk invoice statements aren't something I can generate without deleting older ones and recreating them from scratch. It's definitely a frustrating workaround though it doesn't feel like a dealbreaker. Since this feedback has already been raised to SimplePractice's developers and they tend to keep improving based on user input it may not be a problem for long.

Pros

“useful features for patients”
Pros
As a patient, I've found this software genuinely helpful. It's user friendly and packed with useful features like accessing invoices, adding or changing payment methods, messaging providers and getting reminders for upcoming appointments.
Cons
One small annoyance is that it requires verifying my email every time I log in. It gets a bit tedious though I understand it's there for security.

“calendar updates help alot”
Pros
Being able to edit assessments, notes, treatment plans and everything else in one place felt fantastic. I also really appreciated how simple it was to update appointments in the calendar and send documents to clients, along with a bunch of other day to day tools.
Cons
Billing turned into a hassle for the group practice I was working with. It was also tricky to manage more than one contact on a single client profile which made things harder when working with children. That said, I think those issues may have been resolved by the time I left the agency.
