“Increased my efficiency”

Pros

Using this software has made my work much more efficient and the interface is very easy to navigate. I also know a lot of professionals who rely on it and really enjoy using it.

Cons

The online help button isn't very useful and often doesn't provide the answer I'm looking for.

“Useful support chat”

Pros

Having everything connected in one system really helps keep my workflow organized and efficient. The platform is quite user-friendly and feels user-friendly to navigate. I especially appreciate being able to customize forms and upload photos of insurance cards and IDs directly from my phone into a client's file. The support chat is also useful when I need a quick answer to a question.

Cons

At the same time, the software still feels like it's very much a work in progress. There are some significant gaps in functionality right now. I often run into situations where I need to do something for my practice, only to be told that the feature is not available yet. It's also frustrating not to get any clarity on when those capabilities might be added. Projected timelines for updates would make a big difference. I'd also appreciate having a more direct way to speak with a support representative instead of relying only on chat or email. And while the support team is always polite and willing to help, they often don't seem to have enough mental healthcare knowledge such as charting requirements, consents or diagnostic modifiers, to give truly effective guidance.

“Everything you need, made simple”

Pros

It covers everything you need and keeps it simple, exactly like it promises.

Cons

There really aren't many downsides, mostly just that not everyone uses it the way they should which can affect how well things run.

“intakes, notes, scheduling in one system”

Pros

It has everything for the practice in one system, intakes, notes, scheduling and billing, which has been really convenient and keeps the workflow organized.

Cons

Customer support has been disappointing. They haven't been very helpful, they're difficult to reach and there's been no acknowledgment or apology when problems happen on their side. On top of that, Stripe is the only credit card processor available. Although the processing fee is lower, it doesn't sync with QuickBooks, it groups payments together without details and its customer service is also extremely poor.

“Huge time savings”

Pros

Being able to handle the setup at my own pace has been a big plus. I could test one feature at a time and look up help online whenever I needed guidance which worked perfectly since I was figuring everything out on my own. Each part of the system has helped cut down my workload a lot compared with the old pen-and-paper method I was using before.

Cons

Three months in, I really do not have any major complaints. There is a bit of a learning curve with some of the processes but once you get used to them, they end up saving far more time than my previous system did.

“Keeps getting better”

Pros

This platform keeps getting better with the new features they roll out which I really appreciate. Compared with the systems used by bigger telehealth companies, this one works better for what I need. It also lets me run couples counseling sessions even when both people are in different locations and that has been very helpful.

Cons

My one issue with the telehealth feature is that the picture-in-picture window and the on-screen control boxes are just too large. They can get in the way and make it harder for the therapist to clearly see everyone involved during sessions.

“Lovely revenue management tools”

Pros

it is fairly simple to use and the customer portal is helpful. I also appreciate the customized forms patients can complete, along with the revenue management tools, EOB handling, note shortcuts and the relatively low cost.

Cons

it falls short in several areas, especially for group practices or multiple providers. Printing patient statements takes too many clicks, lab integration is weak and usually requires extra information and there's no e-faxing or text/phone reminders for patients. It also uses a lot of computer resources, DoseSpot automatic refill requests are unreliable and phone-based customer support is missing. Another frustration is that a parent can't create two accounts with the same email for two children seeing a clinician so separate emails are required. On top of that, the customer invitation link expires too quickly if the account isn't created within a few hours.

“Instant billing”

Pros

Having all of my client information in one place has been incredibly helpful. Being able to finish notes, handle scheduling and take care of billing immediately after a session is absolutely invaluable.

Cons

At first I ran into a bit of difficulty setting up my calendar availability. After spending some time with it though, I was able to get it sorted out.

“works well for insurance-based and cash-pay practices”

Pros

A physical therapy colleague in Montana recommended it to me and even though I haven't seen many PTs in Washington using it, I'm honestly surprised that more don't. It works well for both insurance-based and cash-pay practices. The parts I've appreciated most are patient scheduling, the secure messaging portal, automatic invoice creation, note storage and telehealth. As far as I know, I haven't come across another PT-friendly platform that offers this much functionality while also supporting insurance. I'm cash-based at the moment but I plan to start credentialing with insurance so it's really reassuring to know that option is already built in.

Cons

HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices wasn't specific enough for Washington, according to my lawyer. It would be really helpful if the forms were state-compliant across the board, including things like a Release of Information although I understand there are state-by-state differences that make that tricky. Beyond that, I can imagine a few added features being useful such as CRM tools or marketing capabilities.

“Tailored psychiatry workflow”

Pros

Getting started didn't require me to upload my entire caseload first which was a huge plus. It's also very user-friendly, clearly built for psychiatry and not weighed down by unnecessary features meant for other specialties. Everything in it feels designed to help mental health providers do their work, write notes and bill for their time without extra hassle.

Cons

I'd really like to see the calendar syncing with Google Calendar.

“Team is always willing to help”

Pros

Coming into my first EHR experience, it has felt quite user-friendly to use. Whenever I run into something I can't sort out on my own, there are plenty of short recorded classes that walk me through it. Customer support has also been very responsive and willing to help.

Cons

The toughest part for me at first was working out how to connect Stripe for payments.

“Handy session notes access”

Pros

Being able to pull up a client's notes from the previous week on my phone right before a session has been really helpful, especially when I want to follow up on something we talked about last time.

Cons

It would be much better if group notes were easier to manage. Right now, having to create 5-8 separate appointments for group clients clutters the calendar and then I still have to enter the group note individually for each person. I'd rather have one shared note for the group content with separate sections for each member's response. I also wish I could turn off reminders for items I don't use or need like MSE. Another limitation is mobile access, I'd like more of the client record available on my phone such as diagnosis and treatment plans, not just the previous week's notes. It would also help to open the full client record directly from the client's name instead of only through their next calendar appointment.

“helps me keep track of payments”

Pros

Handling billing with it has been really convenient, both for case billing and credit card payments. It also generates invoices and helps me keep track of payments without much hassle. On top of that, the software gives me secure ways to communicate with clients.

Cons

while other users can create forms and share them on discussion boards, those forms can't be imported directly into the software. It is gradually adding the most commonly used forms but the process is pretty slow.

“Uncluttered interface”

Pros

Everything feels user-friendly and simple to use. The interface stays clean and uncluttered and the mobile app performs well while syncing reliably with the web-based platform. It includes several genuinely useful features without feeling overwhelming. The website also provides clear guidance on how to use the tools and customer support is quick to respond.

Cons

The only thing I'd want improved is having more note template options included in the basic package.

“All essentials at your fingertips”

Pros

Having everything in one place really helps, whether you're starting a private practice from scratch or trying to make an existing one run more efficiently. It covers the essentials right at your fingertips and even getting multiple clinicians added and set up has been very simple to manage.

Cons

The biggest downside is the added cost for every extra clinician which can get expensive. I also haven't come across a way for clinicians to look at the forms ahead of time unless they're filling them out on the actual day of the appointment.

“Easy to get around”

Pros

It feels organized and user-friendly so getting around the software is pretty simple.

Cons

Getting hold of a live expert outside regular hours can be tough. Unless you're moving over an existing caseload, the amount of startup emails they send is overwhelming, especially when you're just getting started and don't even have clients yet.

“Can customize my note templates”

Pros

All of my paperwork is handled in one place. It's also really helpful that I can customize my note templates to fit the way I work.

Cons

The intake form still doesn't give me the layout or setup I need so I'm stuck sending a separate PDF anyway. I also wish clients had a way to upload that completed PDF back into the site directly.

“note templates are very useful”

Pros

Keeping client files organized is one of the biggest benefits for me and the note templates have been really useful. They're simple, do a solid job of capturing a clear clinical picture of the client and I appreciate that the templates can also be customized.

Cons

Navigation can feel a bit tricky at times, especially around documentation. I'd also love a way to add templates such as a discharge summary directly from the client page instead of having to go to the templates page, save the note to my computer and then upload it back into the client's file. There may already be a way to do that, I just haven't figured it out yet.
