“Kareo has only improved with time!”
Pros
The implementation process and initial training were straightforward, with the benefit of having a dedicated trainer to assist throughout. Kareo enabled us to start billing for our physicians promptly, generating revenue sooner than expected.
Cons
Being someone who's mindful of expenses, I do wish PatientPop had a lower cost. However, I firmly believe it's worth every penny spent.

“Bad Customer Service”
Pros
The application and its features are excellent, garnering positive feedback from patients using the portal. Overall, it's easy to use and pick up, offering comparable ease of use to other platforms like Athena or Epic.
Cons
The setup for insurance and accounts was sloppy and slow. Support team responses to emails are either delayed or nonexistent. The billing software, although usable, requires separate processing and is outdated. While I appreciate the product, I'm reconsidering my choice due to these issues.

“Don't get suckered in”
Pros
PatientPop's onboarding process was smooth, and despite making significant promises regarding reputation management and review monitoring, they did deliver initial results and swiftly set up a website.
Cons
PatientPop turned out to be a disappointment. Initially, they build a basic website, manage reputation for a few months, and handle SEO poorly. After six months, they essentially abandon you. Their SEO efforts don't drive traffic to your clinic, yet they charge over $700 monthly. There's only a 30-day window per year to cancel, locking you in. Their lack of customer support exacerbates the issue. They've wasted thousands of dollars, and now they're pressuring me to renew. Overall, they're incompetent and unethical as a company.

“I wish I could go back.”
Pros
I'm hopeful about the KPIs, but my expectations are low.
Cons
Kareo's customer service and account management are atrocious. Our success coach and ERA enrollment process were both mishandled, with weeks of delays and minimal communication. They even changed my login email without informing me. The patient portal often doesn't work, and technical issues like system downtime are frequent. Kareo's lack of responsiveness and poor service have made using their platform a regrettable decision

“Kareo has potential, but is not a good product currently.”
Pros
My experience with the product was entirely negative. It lacks functionality and prioritizes sales and advertising over product quality.
Cons
There are numerous issues with Kareo: outdated help sections, unfulfilled promises of callbacks, and a messaging system that lacks patient chart integration. Multiple practitioners in an office mean sorting through irrelevant messages, and the search function often fails to retrieve needed information from past messages.

“Ok in the beginning, but disappointed”
Pros
Despite initial support and training, I found the product lacking and their marketing efforts excessive.
Cons
I was left disappointed with Kareo after my "90-day onboarding." Once that period ended, right before I opened my practice, their support disappeared. Although they were initially helpful in setting up meetings and assisting with issues, once the 90 days were up, they claimed to be too busy for further meetings. Attempts to seek help post-onboarding were met with referrals to the help line, which hasn't been responsive. If you're a small practice reliant on good customer support, don't fall for the sales pitch; you might end up without answers when you need them most.

“Kareo only cares about money. The product does not reduce documentation time.”
Pros
Unfortunately, there are no pros to using this system. It's bulky and unintuitive, contrary to what was promised during sales.
Cons
Lack of a free trial is a significant issue, making it challenging to assess the software before purchase. Additionally, the one-year contract and the company's failure to refund the subscription fee despite only using the service for a month reflect poor customer support and lack of flexibility.

“great when it works”
Pros
While the software is excellent when it functions properly, frequent system downtime poses a significant challenge. During these outages, I'm unable to provide care to patients or access schedules, impacting practice operations. Despite enjoying the templates and billing ease, if given the chance to reconsider, I'd opt for a different system that offers more reliability and responsive support.
Cons
Frequent system downtime and slow support response times have severely impacted practice operations.

“Understand That Customer Support is Not Going To Be Adequeate”
Pros

“Stay away, buyer beware.”
Pros
Charting is decent. There is not much else to say. Using pen and paper or Text expander is still faster. Their templates only work in specific areas.
Cons
The support is terrible, and there is no communication within their support team. They never resolve problems, and what they promise is not what they deliver.
