Support always available to help

Pros

From my experience, the customer support team is always available to help when I have questions. they really know their way around the system and most of the time my issues are resolved on the first call.

Cons

I have no complaints, I am happy and delighted with the service.

Learn on demand and simple for staff

Pros

For our team, I like being able to learn on demand through Kareo University and how simple it is for our staff. We really like the automated reminders and the option to send messages directly from the platform.

Cons

I am not very happy with how Kareo determines the month-end numbers. When payments are collected during a month and actually posted to our bank, the monthly report's closing figures should exactly match what appears on my bank statement.

Quick navigation with minimal onboarding

Pros

In my experience, the platform is built so staff can get around quickly with minimal onboarding required. The browser-based version lets us access it anywhere while still offering comprehensive, powerful features.

Cons

We noticed the reports area could be adopted more fully across our team if we had extra training, even though it's laid out clearly. We needed some specific reports that were difficult to locate but our onboarding coach showed us where to find those resources.

Simple design and telehealth integration

Pros

I really like how simple Kareo's design and layout are. they make my daily tasks much quicker and less burdensome. I am also enjoying the recently added telehealth integration as it is clear, easy to use and that kind of simplicity is invaluable in healthcare settings.

Cons

Occasionally Kareo becomes slow or lags and I suspect that's because it's handling lots of updates and a high number of users regardless, those performance hiccups interrupt my workflow when the system isn't running smoothly.

Nothing notable and lacking support

Pros

Lately I haven't seen anything notable. to me it feels like just billing software built around the Kareo library.

Cons

My biggest issues are their customer support and electronic prescribing. The hours for support are limited and the support team's knowledge feels lacking. I often face long hold times when trying to reach them and the usual response is that their technical team is working on it. They rarely call me back which is really frustrating.

Very easy setup and simple use

Pros

Personally I find the Kareo product very easy to use as setting it up was pretty simple and did not take much time.

Cons

In our practice, there are a few specific data fields we want that aren't available and we could also use more advanced reporting options to better suit our needs.

Valuable customizable reporting tools

Pros

We have found the reporting tools and the ability to customize reports to be the single most valuable aspect for our team. Because of that, we're able to present clients with a much clearer picture of their practice's financial well-being. The contract management and analytical reports let us offer more informed recommendations and dig into incoming data so providers and practice managers can actually track how claims are being handled and precisely where the revenue is coming from and where it's going.

Cons

I have had a terrible time with eRA enrollment - it felt like the process was never properly explained and it turned out to be far more time-consuming and hands-on than we expected. Support has been hit-or-miss in some cases the reps were extremely helpful but in others they seemed out of touch and couldn't get issues fully resolved which has been frustrating and slowed us down.

Real-time eligibility and automatic claims

Pros

There are a lot of things I really like about Kareo. the real-time eligibility checks and the option to send claims automatically with electronic attachments are what I rely on most in my day-to-day practice.

Cons

Occasionally I find that getting problems resolved in the system takes longer than expected and I often have to wait a while before an issue is fixed.

Friendly and easy to deal with

Pros

even though many people who work here at emporia Medical Associates say it's not very welcoming, I personally think it's friendly and easy to deal with.

Cons

When an eRA and/or eFT fails to show up even though I can see it should be there, I call and the response is always that I must call back in five days. After that five-day window I usually end up waiting even longer which really frustrates me. On top of that, system updates sometimes create major glitches that disrupt my work, although those problems are typically resolved within a day. I also dislike that the platform won't link or combine accounts. In my community most families consist of six or fewer people, yet this system forces each person to be treated as a separate account which patients here don't understand or accept because they prefer a single household bill mailed to their residence.

Valuable success coach and service

Pros

Having a success coach was really valuable to me and I received genuinely helpful customer service.

User-friendly and great for training

Pros

I have been with Kareo for more than four years. Setting up inventory per insurance carrier was simple. The automatic posting feature is something I really appreciate. Because the software is so user-friendly, it makes training new billing staff simple for me as an owner. Another favorite is the unpaid insurance claim report which helps my team efficiently manage accounts receivable effectively

Cons

honestly I cannot think of any complaints about Kareo Software it meets all of my billing needs.

Patients can book appointments online

Pros

I love that patients can book appointments online and I also appreciate that we can send follow-up surveys to patients after their visit so I can catch any issues early and address them before they post reviews on Google or elsewhere.

Cons

Overall, we're satisfied with everything and the integration into our systems was completely simple.

Terrific and extremely helpful support

Pros

I have relied on Kareo for the last eight years and the support team has been terrific and extremely helpful. they really know the system inside out and almost always resolve issues during a single phone call.

Cons

One feature I'd really like is the ability to have our company's name show up on specific reports I have been asking for this enhancement for quite some time now and I am still waiting for it to be implemented.

Quick telemedicine setup during covid

Pros

When Covid hit we had to go virtual literally overnight and our team freaked out thinking we'd have to scramble with Zoom. After digging into our EHR, Kareo, I contacted them and they set up telemedicine for us extremely quickly. The platform is simple to use and genuinely user-friendly which made the transition a lot smoother.

Cons

My only real complaint is that customer service wasn't as responsive as I'd hoped, although I understand they were flooded with requests probably a massive surge during Covid as everyone rushed to go virtual. Now that demand has eased, they have noticeably improved and become far more helpful and timely for sure.

everything impresses and is easy

everything about it impresses me as I find the overall system incredibly easy to work with and navigate across the whole platform.
