“simple but limited deductions”
Pros
integration is SMOOTH which is a huge relief after dealing with our previous setup that felt like juggling three separate platforms.
Cons
I can't set up deductions to run on custom schedules, it's either every payroll cycle or I have to do them manually each time.

“Great specialists, poor training”
Pros
Having someone I can reach out to directly for payroll questions has been really helpful & there's always a specialist available by phone or email who knows their stuff.
Cons
The training for our package upgrade was pretty much nonexistent. Once our salesman left, we were basically on our own with no one to guide us through the new features.

“Easy and handles complex payroll”
Pros
It's really user-friendly and you can customize it for almost any scenario. Handles complex payroll transactions without breaking a sweat and everything's fully integrated which makes life easier.
Cons
Sometimes it takes a bit of time to figure out how to set up more unusual configurations.

“Clean design but limited reporting”
Pros
I like how clean and organized the interface looks, you can actually see what you need without feeling overwhelmed. Unlike other cluttered systems, this one lets you take in everything at a glance. What's really nice is watching them continuously develop it over the years, adding modules like HRIS functionality beyond just basic payroll. For everyday tasks, finding information and going around feels very simple.
Cons
Reporting section is pretty simple to use but I often want to generate specific reports that I just can't figure out how to create. I also feel limited in terms of controlling the data and customizing how everything is organized and it doesn't offer the same level of flexibility as something like Dayforce which gives you way more customization options (though that might be better for people with stronger technical backgrounds).

“quite a beginner friendly tool”
Pros
Paycom is user-friendly and not overly complicated. I feel in control of the changes I need to make.

I feel like they could improve the option for adding lunches or breaks when employees forget to log them.

“too many unneeded features”
Pros
I valued the initial training with a real person who walked me through using the program. My first point of contact was easy to reach and available by text when needed.
Cons
There was too much included in it, with many features I did not need. I felt like I paid for a comprehensive program but only required the basic version. Handling wire transfers was cumbersome and costly and the multiple steps to complete payroll felt overwhelming.

“A great full-featured app”
Pros
One thing I really like how easy the app is to use. It's my go-way to access Paycom. The layout is clean, options make sense and it is always clear what I' am viewing or doing. The app is full-featured, unlike many lightweight mobile versions, and I actually prefer it over the website. Also it is packed with useful tools beyond time-off requests like accessing tax documents, reviewing time cards, adjusting payroll details and more. Having learning resources and company info built right in is another plus.
Cons
The initial issue I faced was the awkward process for entering PTO requests. It was actually resolved in a recent update which was great! And while navigating different functions is pretty simple, I feel like a Favorites option would be really helpful since not every user needs all the features equally. Also the app's layout and visuals are a bit plain and could use a modern refresh. Minor issues like certain characters not being allowed in PTO requests are just small inconveniences in an otherwise solid system.

“well-designed but no support”
Pros
The platform is well-designed and easy to get around. Having worked with many systems, I find it one of the simplest to use. It is smart, stays compliant with ACA and tax rules and our employees find their side just as easy to navigate.
Cons
I can never get help when I need it. Our representative changed frequently and was never available for actual support.

“Fantastic team support”
Pros
Working with the team has been fantastic and I am hoping this level of support continues as we move to our account specialist. Everyone made sure we had everything we needed to succeed.
Cons
We implemented it and new benefits during a period of internal restructuring with lots of changes. Although we have access to Talent Acquisition we have not been able to start using it yet because of all the transitions. The team has been encouraging us to begin using it sooner than we are ready for.

Pros
I feel more in control of my finances. It is great having all my documents in one place, plus the tutorials are really helpful. I also like getting alerts by email, text or phone like whatever works best for me.

“excellent implementation team”
Pros
The implementation team was excellent as they were very organized. The system itself is user friendly and easy to pick up. Also it is flexible enough to handle our needs and the report writer is simple to use.
Cons
We had a very tight timeline to complete the implementation but that was our choice since we needed to switch systems quickly at the start of the new year. I will say they did a great job keeping us on track throughout the entire process.

“Highly recommended by us”
Pros
I have been with two companies that switched to Paycom and I'd recommend it to anyone struggling with payroll. The customer service has been outstanding and our employees have really benefited.
Cons
The biggest hurdle was getting our employees comfortable with the change. Once we explained why it was important and they saw the benefits, everything went smoothly for everyone.

Pros
Implementation was smooth, the team was responsive, pricing was as quoted and the system is very easy to learn and use.
Cons
Integrating with our general ledger has been a bit tricky since you cannot import data directly into other software so some manual adjustments are needed.

“almost everything in one system”
Pros
Almost everything is in one system and it makes our employees more responsible for managing their own time and information.
Cons
Deductions can only be set up for every pay period or as a one-time thing as there is no option for other schedules like quarterly or annually which can be a bit limiting.

“user-friendly and very flexible”
Pros
It is user-friendly and can be tailored to fit our specific policies. Payroll processing is simple and we can delegate tasks directly to employees instead of having one person handle all the data. I also like that it's one unified system not a mix of different programs and it handles complex situations like shift differentials and attendance tracking with ease.
Cons
The setup took some time but once everything was in place, it is been working really well for us.

“quick login, confusing schedule”
Pros
The paycheck view is incredibly clear and easy to understand. Plus, the fast login makes it convenient to check details whenever I need to.

“Very poor experience”
Pros
I'm shocked that major organizations like the New England Patriots trust this platform for their operations.
Cons
This thing will make your work life absolutely miserable. I can't believe any HR department actually sees value in it. I inherited a setup that was barely functional, and the sales rep who sold us this mess keeps dodging my questions about contract terms and implementation details, major red flag right there. Their support model is awful. My assigned rep is nice enough but he doesn't understand basic functionality and constantly puts me on hold to figure things out. It's a closed system and I still can't get a straight answer about API capabilities. From what I can tell, they'll allow APIs but offer zero support, how does any product operate like that nowadays? There aren't any working integrations that I can find. The interface looks like something from the early 2000s, way too much information crammed in like an old Access database. Functions are buried in weird places and the navigation breadcrumbs are confusing with ridiculously long pathways. The Learning Management System was incredibly frustrating. They promised we could upload our own SCORM files, but courses kept glitching out, forcing users to restart from the beginning multiple times.
