“Best help but slow setup
Pros
My dedicated specialist and the internal team reach out regularly and handle any issues that come up really fast. The variety of services they offer integrate easily which makes everything so much easier to manage.
Cons
The setup took way longer than I anticipated, though having a dedicated rep helped me navigate through the tricky implementation process.

“Simple processes but inconsistent support
Pros
Payroll processing is incredibly simple with this platform. Having everything accessible to employees directly is great and I really appreciate how staff can review all their information before payday that's a game-changer.
Cons
Customer support can be hit or miss, sometimes I get different answers from different reps about what's possible and I've had to repeat myself multiple times to get things resolved.

I can access my tax documents and pay stubs whenever I need them which is convenient. What I really appreciate is being able to update my personal information myself without having to reach out to HR every time something changes.
Cons

“worth the investment
Pros
The team members here are absolutely fantastic. They don't just work together well internally and it genuinely feels like they become part of our company's team. They really collaborate with me to understand our specific needs and take the time to walk through every single process step by step. Time and again, they've proven I can trust them to deliver on their promises and honestly, they usually exceed my expectations.
Cons
I can't really think of any major downsides. Sure, I'm spending more compared to my previous payroll service but the value I'm getting back makes it worth every penny, it's definitely a solid return on investment.

What I did appreciate about this platform was the ability to review paychecks before they were processed, my team found that feature helpful
Cons
The interface looks pretty outdated and isn't enjoyable to work with at all. Getting around feels clunky and forces our HR team to do way too much manual work. Customer service has been a nightmare, our assigned rep actually made things worse instead of helping. When we tried to get a different rep, it took more than six months of back-and-forth. This whole experience has been the worst I've had with any HR platform in my career.

“A decade of great support
Pros
having a dedicated account specialist who's just an email or phone call away whenever issues come up is incredible. Over the decade we've been using this system, every specialist assigned to us has been helpful and responsive.
Cons
Even when I'm slow to pick up new system updates, the account specialists are incredibly patient and skilled at walking me through everything step by step.

“highly automated and self-service platform
Pros
Applicants can apply through a job link that feeds directly into the system, entering all their details like address and marital status. Once they're hired, most of their information is already saved, so they can easily add things like tax deductions, emergency contacts, and banking info. The mobile app lets employees check and update their own information without waiting for HR. HR can also send checklist messages to confirm employees received important information. The reporting features are comprehensive, making it easy to track whatever we need.
Cons
I wish I could change my username and it's annoying how many security questions pop up when logging back in from the same laptop. The auto-generated employee numbers aren't ideal, though at least you can override them. Would be nice to customize which fields are required for new hires instead of having preset boxes.

“disappointing service overall

It is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and it is pretty flexible as it can adapt to almost anything we need for payroll.
Cons
The customer service has been disappointing. It is so customizable that representatives often don't understand how their own software works or how changing one setting affects others. They promote the idea that your assigned rep will help but it is hard to reach them, and when you do, they usually push you to handle things yourself. It feels like they do this to avoid responsibility if something goes wrong, even if you followed their instructions.

Pros
The Paycom platform is easy to navigate right from the start. The welcome menu is clear and alerts are well-marked so they catch your attention. And I love that employees have to approve their paychecks as it helps prevent payroll errors.
Cons
I feel like it would be helpful to have a customizable homepage where we could include company-specific data, links and other important information.

Cons

I love how easy it is to process payroll, enter and approve timesheets, handle benefits and run performance reviews. I just love everything about it.
Cons

Pros
The support from the Paycom team has been amazing from the initial setup through benefits enrollment and now daily assistance. They are always responsive, friendly and genuinely helpful.
Cons
I feel like the reporting could be better. I'd love more dynamic, easier-to-use reporting features. The analytics dashboard is not as user friendly as I expected and it's tough to pull reliable data like turnover reports. So it would be great to have executive-level dashboards that are simple to manage.

Pros
The reports are quite helpful and practical, though we do need to learn how to use them on our own.
Cons
Well the customer service is disappointing. The software feels clunky and includes a lot of unnecessary features. If you run into an issue, good luck getting it resolved as the staff seem more focused on upselling than helping.

“fast and simple setup
Pros
Paycom setup process was fast and pretty simple. Having our salesperson stay involved during implementation was reassuring. We stuck to our timeline and ran our first payroll right on schedule. Whenever we had questions, we got quick answers from familiar reps. The general ledger reporting is also simple to adjust and customize.
Cons
We had a few challenges during benefits implementation. It was hard to grasp exactly what we were setting up and how everything would flow. I'd suggest asking for a benefits-specific demo beforehand. We also ended up filing in a few extra jurisdictions which came with unexpected fees as it would have helped to review those requirements before getting started.
