“amazing support, reporting could be better”
Pros
The support from the Paycom team has been amazing from the initial setup through benefits enrollment and now daily assistance. They are always responsive, friendly and genuinely helpful.
Cons
I feel like the reporting could be better. I'd love more dynamic, easier-to-use reporting features. The analytics dashboard is not as user friendly as I expected and it's tough to pull reliable data like turnover reports. So it would be great to have executive-level dashboards that are simple to manage.

“A team that cares about our success”

I have really enjoyed working with the Paycom team. It is clear they genuinely care about our success and work hard to support our needs and growth.
Cons
Honestly I do not have any complaints. I have tried to think of something but really cannot.

“terrible customer service”
Pros
The reports are quite helpful and practical, though we do need to learn how to use them on our own.
Cons
Well the customer service is disappointing. The software feels clunky and includes a lot of unnecessary features. If you run into an issue, good luck getting it resolved as the staff seem more focused on upselling than helping.

“fast and simple setup”
Pros
Paycom setup process was fast and pretty simple. Having our salesperson stay involved during implementation was reassuring. We stuck to our timeline and ran our first payroll right on schedule. Whenever we had questions, we got quick answers from familiar reps. The general ledger reporting is also simple to adjust and customize.
Cons
We had a few challenges during benefits implementation. It was hard to grasp exactly what we were setting up and how everything would flow. I'd suggest asking for a benefits-specific demo beforehand. We also ended up filing in a few extra jurisdictions which came with unexpected fees as it would have helped to review those requirements before getting started.

“quick customer service but very weak on compliance”
Pros
I loved being able to call their customer service and reach someone in just a minute or two. With ADP, I used to wait 40 minutes or more.
Cons
They do not handle compliance as we expected. When we need a new earning or deduction set up, they ask us to provide tax treatment details but I am not a tax expert. I hoped it would guide us through it but that has not been the case.

“Helpful tool but tedious alerts”
Pros
the customer support team has been really helpful whenever I've reached out. I find myself using it quite frequently because it just works well for my daily tasks.
Cons
Can't adjust alert preferences across the board from my end, have to change each one individually which gets tedious.

“Smooth implementation with one setup hurdle”
Pros
Implementation process was much smoother than I anticipated, thanks to an excellent transition team that kept everything flowing seamlessly. Navigation feels friendly too. The onboarding feature has been a game-changer, no more manually entering employee information into payroll which saves considerable time. I appreciate how employees now handle their own missed punches and time-off requests. The ability to send check details for employee review before finalizing payroll has been incredibly valuable, allowing us to catch and correct errors so everyone gets paid accurately.
Cons
Setting up the vacation accrual policy to match our specific needs was more complicated than expected.

“Transparent and outstanding service”
Pros
The transparency this gives our employees is incredible and they can finally see everything about their time, attendance and pay without any barriers. Customer service has been outstanding and always responds quickly when we need help. Integration went much smoother than expected and the transition team made everything easy. We consistently maintain a 98% Direct Data Exchange rate which has completely eliminated extra work for HR. The features blow away what we had before, and it integrates with almost all our benefits, reducing our workload even more. Both the app and website are super user-friendly and the multi-language support is excellent.
Cons
Honestly I can't think of any real downsides to this system. If your hesitant about making the switch, just push through those worries, you'll be thrilled you made the change!

“Automated system with great guidance”
Pros
It automates nearly all talent management and payroll processes. The documentation feature is fantastic and it keeps track of everything so there are no mix-ups later on.
Cons
Its difficult to use though the step-by-step guide and your assigned specialist really help walk you through everything.

“Buggy and hard to use”
Pros
I can easily log in and out using my phone, which is really convenient. Being able to access my documents and information through the app has been helpful too.
Cons
The iOS app had quite a few bugs and there was a huge gap between what you could actually see on mobile versus the web version. The navigation wasn't very simple either and I've used other platforms that were much easier to get around.

“Makes HR tasks simple”
Pros
I find the help center really useful whenever I need assistance. The platform itself is user-friendly and packed with features that genuinely make HR tasks simpler. The reporting tools, in particular, have been a huge help for our team

“One Stop Shop”
Pros
The interface is straightforward, and it incorporates all the necessary HR components for a business. It covers onboarding, background checks, performance management, benefits, payroll, and more. There are dedicated experts available to assist with any questions.
Cons
The messaging system for employees definitely needs an update. The format feels outdated and lacks the use of links and photos. It should be revamped. Additionally, the response time from Paycom specialists can sometimes take 12 business days. It seems like there's a high turnover rate for specialists, as we get a new one assigned to our account every 6 months or so. It would be better if there was one bundled price for all the features instead of having to pay more for each new feature we want to add.

“Payroll is no longer Dreaded!”
Pros
I appreciate that Paycom tracks every aspect comprehensively. It prioritizes compliance, not just for themselves but also for their clients. They provide collaborative support and ensure that even if your dedicated representative is unavailable, someone on their team is knowledgeable about your account and can assist you.
Cons
I can't really think of anything negative. In the beginning, it might seem overwhelming if you're not very tech savvy, and the system is quite comprehensive. However, they guide you step by step through the process.

“User Friendly and Efficient”
Pros
Paycom is an excellent application. Personally, I prefer using the mobile app over the website, although both are great. What I particularly like about Paycom is how user friendly and easily navigable the application is. I have never encountered any issues.
Cons
Occasionally, it's challenging to confirm if your punch has been submitted. It has only happened to me a few times. Usually, a popup notification confirms the punch, but there were a few instances when this didn't happen.

“Not really a fan of recent update (or is it just my company?)”
Pros
The system covers all the necessary tabs/functions for employees to complete HR processes.
Cons
The recent update that allows you to clock in and out and transfer shifts in real time requires some practice to navigate. Editing the time is only possible in the read only timesheet, which I find inconvenient since it requires manager approval. It would be better if we could edit the time directly, although I understand this practice helps with audits and accurate time reporting.
