Simplifies everything but the login

Pros

Managing my work schedule has been really simple and I appreciate how simple it is to track PTO accruals and submit time off requests. The payroll deduction features work smoothly too.

Cons

The login process isnt the most ideal. I'd really prefer something simpler that doesn't make me dig through my email for verification codes every time, maybe a two-factor authentication setup instead.

A smooth transition

Pros

I've had such a smooth experience with this payroll and PTO tracking system and it's incredibly user-friendly. The transition from our previous platform was night and day and the value for money is fantastic.

Cons

We haven't found any real downsides so far, though our old system was absolutely terrible in comparison.

Flawless payroll

Pros

Switching over was incredibly smooth and I've never found payroll processing this simple before.

Cons

The notes section in scheduling is way too short, you only get 60 characters which isnt nearly enough for detailed information.

Great self-service, terrible PEO

Pros

The electronic personnel files are fantastic and the self-service feature really stands out. Employees can update their basic information independently without needing to visit HR which saves everyone time and effort.

Cons

Working with ADP totalSources through a PEO was a nightmare and had to bring in legal because of unethical practices I uncovered during my audit. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth, especially when I discovered some unfavorable findings that hurt the company I was with at the time.

easy to use with great help

Pros

Having everything connected in a single database makes pulling reports incredibly smooth and creates seamless integration between HR and payroll functions. Whenever I have questions or run into issues, our specialist responds really quickly with helpful answers.

Cons

I really can't think of any major complaints about this platform. The team is always rolling out updates and enhancements, so even when minor issues pop up, they usually get resolved pretty quickly.

Almost perfect, just needs better notices

Pros

I'm really impressed with how smoothly the HRIS and payroll systems work together. Whenever we run into a problem, our specialist responds right away and always knows exactly how to fix it. The answers we get are thorough and come back quickly. Our executive client relations rep is fantastic, incredibly helpful, knows the system inside and out and gets things done efficiently. Honestly, the whole team goes above and beyond to help us and really understands what we need.

Cons

Would appreciate better heads-up about system-wide updates. Our account reps are fantastic and always go above and beyond to help train us after changes roll out but getting advance notice would make transitions much smoother.

Paycom is a Wonderful Tool for HR

Pros

I appreciate the ease of use with Paycom. The app allows me to update my timecard and review time off requests effortlessly. I also like the ability to see the upcoming paycheck once it's posted. Employee reviews are a breeze with Paycom.

Cons

I am not a fan of how difficult it is to update the timecard in Paycom. Sometimes, I have to delete the entire timecard and start over when there is an update needed, which is not an appreciated function.

A complete emplyer-employe tool

Pros

It offers access to clock in/out, timesheet management, PTO requests, and even courses to enhance team capabilities.

Cons

Navigating the application can become complicated, as finding the right options can be confusing due to similar sounding menus that offer similar functionalities. Additionally, even after completing the courses, sometimes they do not provide the checkmark, and you have to retake them.

Beware of Cost and other claims

Pros

The mobile app is great as well as the reporting features in general.

Cons

We were charged incorrect fees, and the salespeople did not provide a thorough explanation of the billing process. It felt very opaque.

Go Through a Staffing Agency Instead!!

Pros

Compared to other software programs it can be more cost effective.

Cons

Once I was sold on the product and paid the fees, the "consultant" disappeared, leaving me to figure out the complex accounting system on my own. Additional assistance was available for extra fees, but the software itself was not user friendly. I would not recommend Paycom. During the paperwork processing after payment, I received frequent communication from the consultant, who assured me they would be my direct contact for assistance. However, without notice, I was switched to another consultant who was only focused on pressuring me to add more services, displaying abrupt and callous behavior. After declining to increase my monthly payments, I was left to figure everything out independently, which defeats the purpose of paying for a software with payroll processing and management.

When nobody else would help..

Pros

Unfortunately, I started adulting a bit later in life, and my credit history has a few blemishes, making it challenging to find a company that would give me a chance. Thankfully, Paycom was there for me and treated me exceptionally well. Every team member I interacted with was wonderful and took the time to teach me about every feature of the service, guiding me through different scenarios and thoroughly explaining everything I needed to know and more. I would highly recommend this service to anyone!

Cons

The only thing that could make this app even easier to use is a simpler payment method. Instead of having to send a wire transfer every week, I attempted to provide my bank with the "draw down" information. Unfortunately, not all banks are compatible with that method. I had to settle for adding a wire transfer feature to my online banking, which incurs additional expenses, albeit less than the total of four monthly wires. I believe Paycom should offer the option to use my account and routing information or even my business account debit card information for payments, rather than obligating users to go through the intricate process of the "Draw Down" (which most bankers are unaware of) or having to visit the bank every week, incurring an extra $25 for a wire transfer.

Paycom optimizes human resources in one place

Pros

The interface is user friendly, which benefits both administrators and workers. The system is intuitive and guides users through various stages. It provides a single program that manages the entire employee lifecycle, from hiring to retirement. This eliminates the need for multiple systems, which can lead to inconsistencies and errors in information. This feature is particularly admirable and has significantly reduced our workload. Employees can manage their personal information, benefits, attendance and time enrollment, reducing the need for additional personnel resources and empowering them.

Cons

The mobile version lacks the same capabilities as the desktop version. It is also more costly compared to other personnel and resource management methods. The level of customization, especially in reporting, is minimal. The transition to a new method could be challenging, as I experienced difficulties during the implementation stage, particularly with data transmission.

Basic system with bad support

Pros

There isn't much that stands out to me about this payroll system and it's pretty basic and does what it needs to do.

Cons

Getting help when you need it is really frustrating because even their support team seems stumped by questions. I struggled with benefits setup and didn't get the assistance I needed, plus there were errors with benefit deduction uploads that made things even more complicated.

thorough onboarding experience

Pros

Onboarding process blew me away, absolutely phenomenal support throughout. Sure there were a couple things that didn't get covered which caused some hiccups down the road but honestly with the massive amount of training material, I'm shocked more wasn't overlooked. The level of detail and thoroughness was incredible, really a breath of fresh air compared to other platforms I've used.

Cons

The lack of a search function really frustrates me when I'm trying to locate specific features on such a massive platform. Training for benefits was seriously inadequate - even after extra sessions, I felt completely lost, though that might've been due to our trainer's approach. Had to figure out my first open enrollment pretty much on my own.
