“efficient with resources galore”
Pros
There are so many options, tools and resources to make HR more efficient. Paycom University, where you can find all the info you need, is an extra benefit that a lot of other companies don't have. And the service fee is excellent compared to others.
Cons
It should be more open to integrating with other platforms. Not every company uses everything they offer and sometimes we need to connect other systems.

“simple and effective application”
Pros
It's easy to use and effective with hardly any annoying bugs or updates that get in the way. It's a simple but great app.
Cons
The design is pretty basic but it works! Maybe the mobile version could be improved to show options faster.

“Fantastic switch from paylocity”
Pros
We switched from Paylocity a few years ago and it has by far exceeded our expectations. From the value for money, to customer support, to ease of use, they've been fantastic. They resolve IT bugs and issues quickly. Our company isn't full of tech-savvy people but our employees haven't had any issues because the interface is so easy to manage.
Cons
It is growing and keeping dedicated customer service agents has been a challenge. But they're working really hard to fix it and it's slowly getting better.

“Very responsive support”
Pros
It has a lot of features that make it easy to use and it can be integrated with what we need for our growing projects. Our Paycom rep Caitlin is also very responsive and knows the system really well.
Cons
A lot of the forms don't communicate with each other making it hard to have a simple process. For example when an employee changes from part-time to full-time, their PTO bank resets to zero instead of keeping the amount they've already earned.

“mobile version less smooth than web”
Pros
The best part is definitely the flexibility. I can log in from my laptop, my phone, any computer, it's so much better than being stuck at one specific machine. And having my tax docs right there in the platform is super convenient
Cons
The day-to-day stuff can be messy. Entering time punches takes way longer than it should and the mobile app just doesn't work as well as the desktop version which kinda defeats the purpose of having mobile access.

“Tracks hours and pay in real time”
Pros
Best thing about it is that you can keep track of your hours as you work and see exactly how much you have earned in real time.
Cons
Setting up access can be a bit tricky when you're moving from one company to another within the system. But once you get your new employee ID number, everything works smoothly from there.

Pros
to be honest, this platform is user-friendly and simple. I had no trouble finding my way around the app and I could easily access all the documents I have uploaded.
Cons
I did not have any problems using the app or software. Whenever questions came up, I got helpful answers right away.

“Great value but tricky to learn”
Pros
It is definitely great value for the money. We have not run into any major issues while using it and we are able to generate reports we never could with our previous provider. Plus the customer service team is always helpful and polite.
Cons
At times I struggle with areas like updating benefits because the system is so extensive. It can be a little tricky to figure out how to complete specific tasks since there are so many options.

“simple to use with great lock screen widget”
Pros
I find it simple to use and I loved having a lock screen widget on my phone that made clocking in quick and easy.
Cons
It was challenging to learn initially and on mobile some dropdown menus get cut off making it difficult for us to access all the information.

“All-in-one system but setup is a lot of work”
Pros
having all essential HR functions from onboarding and performance reviews to payroll in one system is truly amazing. the self-service options also make a huge difference for us keeping employees engaged and making their experience much smoother.
Cons
implementation requires a lot of effort even basic setup choices need careful planning and coordination. That said having Paycom's support has made the process more manageable.

“staff and employees use it without trouble”
Pros
The platform is easy for everyone to use. Both our staff and employees navigate it without trouble and there are always representatives available to help when needed.
Cons
What I like least is having to verify our client code, identity and security questions twice every time I call in.

“Simple setup and powerful reports”
Pros
I feel like implementation and daily use are both incredibly simple. The reporting tools are powerful and easy to use and the Personnel Action Forms make handling employee changes smooth and efficient.
Cons
The entire system works perfectly for what I need. I have not come across any features I dislike yet. While I have not used every feature, my experience has been positive so far.

“Fast payroll, slow customer service”

“an easy to use app”
Pros
The app is really easy and simple to use from an employee's point of view. Also I like the layout as it is clean and sleek.
Cons
It takes a bit of time to find certain items like employee policies and similar documents since they are not in the documents section. Plus I feel like the paycheck comparison feature could also use significant improvement.

“user-friendly but no AI features”
Pros
Paycom learning management system is user friendly, easy to pick up and packed with features. Plus as users we had no trouble accessing online courses.
Cons
While the software's core functionality is solid, it lacks AI-powered features that would significantly enhance training development. Capabilities like text-to-speech narration, auto-generated quiz questions and content summarization would greatly accelerate the course creation process

“Simple to fix mistakes, hard to track hours”
Pros
I really like how simple it is to fix mistakes when clocking in or out. Since I work on projects with different funding sources, I can easily assign my time to the right category. The paycheck preview and approval process is unlike anything I have seen in other payroll systems. Overall it's great knowing exactly what to expect.
Cons
It is hard to track when we are approaching 40 hours and to figure out how much time you need to work to get as close to that as possible.

“Good for payroll”
Pros
Using the payroll grid to process payments was very simple. I managed to run a payroll without any prior training or instructions.
Cons
The distinction between a Position and a Position Seat caused confusion. Data would sometimes conflict because information differed between the two for example, the Position might list someone as hourly while the Position Seat showed them as salaried.

“excellent service with a dedicated representative”
Pros
having a dedicated account representative means customer service is excellent. The payroll module is well-designed and simplifies the entire process. managing employees is easy and the benefits module is definitely worth the cost.
Cons
the 2024 system felt like it was built more for programmers and IT staff than HR users. also I feel like the Help menu needs better search functionality, and topics should be organized more clearly by category.

“User-friendly and all-in-one”
Pros
Paycom is incredibly user-friendly making it easy to navigate even for those who are not tech-savvy. Its comprehensive suite of products covers a wide range of HR and payroll needs, all within one platform. The seamless integration between modules cuts down on duplicate data entry and ensures consistency.
Cons
While it is a solid platform overall, it does have some limitations compared to competitors. Some standard features available elsewhere are not offered here or require workarounds. And I'd love to see more flexibility and innovation in areas where other systems allow greater customization or advanced options.
