“easy to use but sometimes glitchy
Pros
Paycom software is easy to use, simple to navigate and works great on mobile. Plus I really like how it keeps all your information together in one system.
Cons
It can be a bit glitchy sometimes especially with location tracking but issues are usually resolved quickly and the team is responsive.

“powerful but app can be complex
Pros
I like Paycom as it is a powerful HR and payroll platform that encourages employee involvement and self-service.
Cons
The app is not always reliable and I noticed some parts of the system can be unnecessarily complex.

“Easy to see and pick up shifts
Pros
One thing I like is being able to see when coworkers mark days they cannot work and quickly check if I can pick up their shift. It also makes reading and signing monthly newsletters or safety checks really simple with electronic signatures.
Cons
I don't like having to send myself a text message every time I log in even when using FaceID.

“one system for all my info
Pros
Having one system for all my information means I don't have to enter the same details in multiple places.
Cons
The banking team is challenging to collaborate with as they seem to create obstacles at every stage.

“almost everything was a problem
Pros
Texting was really simple and kept all in one spot. I preferred it over using a separate app or platform.
Cons
Nearly everything else is a real struggle. The system is difficult to navigate, has very limited integration options and the reporting functionality is inadequate. To get meaningful KPIs, I had to compile five separate reports into an Excel sheet because creating a custom report is not feasible without paying thousands of dollars for their team to spend 60+ hours on something I could do in 10 minutes if I had proper data access.

“Nothing to like, could not even clock in
Pros
Unfortunately there was not anything I liked about using Paycom.
Cons
Both the app and website took too long to load and appeared outdated. I was not even able to clock in successfully.

“Versatile for everyone but too many logins
Pros
It is really versatile because it works great for everyone of us. Both the employee and manager logins are simple and easy to use which makes the whole experience smooth for our entire team.
Cons
Needing three separate login credentials feels excessive and some checklist items cannot be marked as complete which is frustrating.

“easy time off, buttons too close
Pros
Requesting time off is easy and the site is simple to navigate.
Cons
The clock-in, clock-out and lunch buttons are placed too close together, leading to errors. It would be better if we could correct entries directly instead of submitting correction requests.

“good for alerts but hard to reply
Pros
I like the mobile access and getting notifications when new applicants come in.
Cons
Responding to applications was not easy at all and the applicant tracking system felt disorganized and missing key features.

“supported my business in tough times
Pros
Paycom will always have a special place for me because they supported me and my business when everything shut down in 2020.
Cons
The only complaint I have ever had about it is how frequently I had to re-enter my password while reviewing team profiles though I understand it is a sign of strong data security.

“a one-stop shop however reports need work
Pros
It is a one-stop solution for all my payroll and benefits needs.
Cons
In my opinion the reporting feature needs improvement. It is difficult to locate the right reports and I cannot always add the fields I need. I noticed a recent update allowed more customization on some reports but not all.

“handy features but glitchy and costly
Pros
The platform has lots of handy features and is easy to use whether you are an employee or an admin. We like being able to set date-based notifications and restrict staff to clocking in/out only for assigned jobs. Information flows smoothly from application through onboarding and hiring.
Cons
Well the app can be a bit glitchy for employees and the security measures are sometimes overly strict for our less tech-savvy staff. Adding new features also comes with a high cost since everything is priced a la carte which can add up quickly.

“User-friendly with great specialist help
Pros
Both the admin and employee sides are very user-friendly. It is always easy to get in touch with our dedicated account specialist as we never get passed around to different people.
Cons
The documents and checklist sections can be a bit confusing at times but they are usually manageable. Our account specialist is always ready to help if we get stuck.

“Excellent service and new updates
Pros
The service is excellent and the continuous product improvements are fantastic. And I always look forward to seeing what's new in each update.
Cons
Occasionally I am ahead of system updates and have to wait for the platform to catch up with actual operational needs.

“simplifies payroll but setup was a lot of work
Pros
It is easy to use and simplifies the payroll process on my end. I don't have to worry about payroll liabilities, except for retirement.
Cons
We had to handle the entire implementation process manually because our previous software could not transfer data to it. It required a significant amount of hands-on effort.

“smooth switch, attendance needs improvement
Pros
Our company recently switched to Paycom and the transition was pretty smooth thanks to our specialist. He answered every question and knew the platform inside out making the whole process efficient. Plus it offers more functionality and value than any other payroll system I have used as it's really organized our workflows.
Cons
The attendance module could be more user friendly. Our company uses two point systems one for tardiness under 30 minutes and another for longer absences. We currently assign points manually on timecards and run reports to track them. I hope this becomes better, though I know they is working on improvements.

“Great app but weak website
Pros
As an employee I use the Paycom app to clock in, approve my hours and check my paystubs easily.
Cons
Well the website experience is weaker than the app so I rely on the app for mobile clock-ins. Requesting lunch changes is also more difficult than it should be.
