handles all our pay types, but difficult to setup

Pros

Eventually Paycom managed to handle all of our different payroll types perfectly including salary, hourly, commission and piece rate which makes it likable.

Cons

The setup process was really challenging, partly because of our complex general ledger structure but also because the implementation team changed multiple times.

easy to log hours

Pros

One thing I like is how easy it is to log my work hours, request time off and preview my paycheck.

Cons

I find it difficult to edit or adjust times that have already been entered into the timesheet.

Paycom is user-friendly, with step by step tutorials that guide us through each feature.

Cons

simplifies work tasks

Pros

Paycom simplifies tracking time, clock-ins, benefits, payroll and other workplace tasks. The app is fast and supports Touch ID or Face ID. Also sign-up is quick with basic info like the last four digits of my Social Security number.

Cons

Nothing major but the iPhone app can be slow, passwords need resetting every six weeks and you get logged out if you leave the app open but inactive for too long.

simple even for not technical people

Pros

It is user-friendly, even for those who are not tech-savvy. The tabs and labels are clear and make sense. I also like being able to approve my paycheck before it's processed.

Cons

Locating tax documents was not as simple as I thought, though every other feature is pretty self-explanatory.

saves me time and effort

Pros

Well I love that employees have all their HR and payroll info right at their fingertips. As an HR Coordinator it saves me time I used to spend helping with small but time-consuming tasks.

Cons

The client-side access could be more user-friendly. There seem to be too many tabs and it could be more condensed and organized. Some employee-side tasks like requesting a punch correction, also feel more complicated to me than necessary.

Great support and overall powerful tool

Pros

The support is unmatched. During implementation and the first few payroll runs, they responded quickly to emails and answered all our questions.

Cons

Handling Canadian taxes and statutory deductions is still a work in progress and we have had a few issues along the way.

helpful paycheck preview

Pros

I find the paycheck preview feature is really helpful. Submitting payroll is simple too and the Paycom app is great as it is easy and user-friendly.

Cons

The HR modules are not very user friendly as you often have to search around to figure out how to do things. Also it's missing some standard payroll reports like Employee Changes and I wish there was a drag-and-drop feature similar to Rippling. We also could not get some modules running within our timeline due to limited staff and time.

shows pay clearly but benefits are not clear

Pros

Paycom organizes and displays employee pay information clearly and it is easy to export tax and pay documents when needed.

Cons

It does not present benefits information clearly or helpfully and as far as I can tell, there is no way to download your health, vision or dental insurance cards.

Easy for requests, tricky for late shifts

Pros

I can handle deduction changes and time-off requests for both myself and my team members.

Cons

When my team works a shift that spans past midnight or goes over 12 hours, it can be tricky to get the system to recognize it's intentional and not an error or missed punch.

Paycom platform is simple to use and i like the fact that it comes with plenty of useful tools.

Cons

I do not have any real complaints. The setup and implementation process was lengthy and involved a lot of Zoom calls but they supported me through each step which made the time commitment worthwhile.

a top and flexible HR system

Worst Experience!

Pros

Honestly, I'm struggling to find anything positive about this platform. Can't really point to any standout features or benefits that made my experience worthwhile.

Cons

It constantly breaks down and their customer service is absolutely terrible. The staff I've dealt with have been completely unprofessional and unhelpful. I'm planning to share my horrible experience on multiple review sites because others need to know how bad this really is.

A true partner in payroll

Pros

I use this software daily for all our payroll and HR needs. It's allowed us to process payroll quickly and accurately in much less time than manual processing would take. Our employees really like the mobile app since it gives them complete access to their hours, pay, benefits and time off information. We recently added benefit integration with file feeds to carriers and COBRA functionality which has significantly improved benefit access for staff and eliminated manual processing when we hire or terminate employees. Our Client Relations Representative has been incredibly helpful, spending countless hours both in-person and remotely helping our team with training and making sure we're maximizing all the modules we have to get the best return on our investment.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything I dislike right now. In the past when I've run into features that didn't work exactly how we needed them to, I submitted development requests for the team to consider. They've actually implemented several of my suggestions over time which shows they really listen to user feedback.
