“smooth switch, attendance needs improvement”

Pros

Our company recently switched to Paycom and the transition was pretty smooth thanks to our specialist. He answered every question and knew the platform inside out making the whole process efficient. Plus it offers more functionality and value than any other payroll system I have used as it's really organized our workflows.

Cons

The attendance module could be more user friendly. Our company uses two point systems one for tardiness under 30 minutes and another for longer absences. We currently assign points manually on timecards and run reports to track them. I hope this becomes better, though I know they is working on improvements.

“Great app but weak website”

Pros

As an employee I use the Paycom app to clock in, approve my hours and check my paystubs easily.

Cons

Well the website experience is weaker than the app so I rely on the app for mobile clock-ins. Requesting lunch changes is also more difficult than it should be.

Pros

I can verify my time is correct and if there is a missing clock-in, it can be fixed quickly.

Cons

There is one feature that consistently does not work as I expected it to be.

It is a fantastic company. The team is amazing and our overall experience are truly exceptional.

Right now I do not have any issues with the platform as everything meets my expectations.

Eventually Paycom managed to handle all of our different payroll types perfectly including salary, hourly, commission and piece rate which makes it likable.

Cons

The setup process was really challenging, partly because of our complex general ledger structure but also because the implementation team changed multiple times.

I find it very user-friendly even though it stores a lot of information.

To be honest I have no complaints as it is a solid software solution.

Pros

One thing I like is how easy it is to log my work hours, request time off and preview my paycheck.

I find it difficult to edit or adjust times that have already been entered into the timesheet.

Paycom is user-friendly, with step by step tutorials that guide us through each feature.

It requires frequent password changes which makes it hard to keep track of what our current password is.

The mobile app is handy and I like that I can download IRS tax forms directly.

What I like most about it is how easy it is to use from an employee's perspective.

The thing I liked least about it was trying to find the tax documents I needed as it was not very simple.

Pros

Paycom simplifies tracking time, clock-ins, benefits, payroll and other workplace tasks. The app is fast and supports Touch ID or Face ID. Also sign-up is quick with basic info like the last four digits of my Social Security number.

Cons

Nothing major but the iPhone app can be slow, passwords need resetting every six weeks and you get logged out if you leave the app open but inactive for too long.

Pros

It is user-friendly, even for those who are not tech-savvy. The tabs and labels are clear and make sense. I also like being able to approve my paycheck before it's processed.

Cons

Locating tax documents was not as simple as I thought, though every other feature is pretty self-explanatory.

Honestly I have not run into any problems since I started using it.

Well I love that employees have all their HR and payroll info right at their fingertips. As an HR Coordinator it saves me time I used to spend helping with small but time-consuming tasks.

Cons

The client-side access could be more user-friendly. There seem to be too many tabs and it could be more condensed and organized. Some employee-side tasks like requesting a punch correction, also feel more complicated to me than necessary.

Pros

It is incredibly easy to use and explain to others as I had no trouble at all teaching my practice manager how to use it for our entire team.

Cons

Login process is repetitive and frustrating for our employees.

“Great support and overall powerful tool”

Pros

The support is unmatched. During implementation and the first few payroll runs, they responded quickly to emails and answered all our questions.

Cons

Handling Canadian taxes and statutory deductions is still a work in progress and we have had a few issues along the way.

Pros

I find the paycheck preview feature is really helpful. Submitting payroll is simple too and the Paycom app is great as it is easy and user-friendly.

Cons

The HR modules are not very user friendly as you often have to search around to figure out how to do things. Also it's missing some standard payroll reports like Employee Changes and I wish there was a drag-and-drop feature similar to Rippling. We also could not get some modules running within our timeline due to limited staff and time.

Pros

Paycom organizes and displays employee pay information clearly and it is easy to export tax and pay documents when needed.

Cons

It does not present benefits information clearly or helpfully and as far as I can tell, there is no way to download your health, vision or dental insurance cards.

“Easy for requests, tricky for late shifts”

Pros

I can handle deduction changes and time-off requests for both myself and my team members.

Cons

When my team works a shift that spans past midnight or goes over 12 hours, it can be tricky to get the system to recognize it's intentional and not an error or missed punch.

Pros

We can easily check, adjust and submit hours worked, as well as review important documents and deductions.

Cons

Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the screen to update or refresh.
