“powerful and integrated payroll system
Pros
I appreciate having a dedicated payroll rep who really knows their stuff. The automated processing handles everything from calculations to filing taxes at every level, plus it manages garnishments smoothly. The integration options work well with our existing systems and employees love being able to access their info through the self-service portal.
Cons
Real-time payroll reporting isn't available which can be frustrating when you need current data. Also, there's no direct way to reach the tax team when I have questions about open tax items that need reviewing.

“feature-rich solution
Pros
It's packed with comprehensive features that handle our entire HRIS and financial workflow. We're currently using it for accounts receivable, accounts payable and employee data management. The SFTP functionality is particularly useful & we pull data from outbound folders for our analytics work, which streamlines our reporting process significantly.
Cons
The authentication setup uses basic auth through Paycom, which gets the job done but feels a bit outdated. We'd really appreciate having OAuth or some OpenID compliance options. They might already be working on this internally, but having those modern authentication methods available would be a significant improvement for security and user experience.

Pros
The customer service is absolutely fantastic and even people who struggle with technology find it incredibly easy to use.
Cons
Main drawback is that reports aren't always ready when you need them. You have to build most of them yourself which can be time-consuming.

Pros
Their customer support has really improved since 2023 and I find the interface pretty easy to use.
Cons
From 2020 to 2023, we dealt with constant customer support turnover and could never figure out who our main contact was supposed to be. Things have gotten much better over the last 14 months though.

The interface is really user friendly and generating reports is simple without any issue.
Cons
I'm frustrated that state tax reports aren't included and the PTO configuration doesn't work the way we need it to. When the overtime law for salaried employees went into effect, I really wished there was an easier way to track their overtime instead of having to enter everything manually.

“game-changer for employee management

This HRIS platform has been a game-changer for our organization. The comprehensive information network makes it incredibly easy for managers and administrators to handle employee management tasks. I can track everything from training records and timecards to accruals, FMLA, insurance and benefits all in one place. The automated time-off approvals and payroll processing features are huge time-savers. Customer service deserves special mention & they're easy to reach and respond quickly when you need help. The integration process was thorough, ensuring everything was tailored to our specific needs and it went surprisingly smoothly. My specialist worked closely with us throughout and continues to follow up to ensure we're getting the best service possible. I've been using this daily for four years now and I'm so glad we made the switch from our previous platform. It's much easier to use and far more versatile than what we had before. There's no lag or missing data between HR and payroll functions which used to be a constant headache. The ability to customize what each user can see and access works perfectly for different departments and management levels.The workflows are excellent and honestly, it's worth every penny of the investment. But the standout feature has to be the reporting capabilities. There are numerous pre-built reports available, most of which you can customize and download in various formats like HTML, XLS or PDF. You can even build your own custom reports which is a blessing for administrative needs. Whether it's government reporting or insurance and benefit reports, the flexibility is there. I'd definitely recommend giving this a try, you won't be disappointed!

My Paycom representative has been very helpful. She taught us a lot about the system and shown us how to make it work for our organization. I also like the new features it keeps rolling out as they help streamline our work and keep the system competitive.
Cons
There was no clear communication about how the system works. We were given quick fixes that did not actually resolve our issues and ended up adding more stress to managing the system.

Paycom worked well for my basic time and attendance needs. It was simple to use and understand.
Cons
Integrating other systems with it was not easy and made it harder for employees to use. We prefer having all HR functions in one place for simplicity but we ran into a lot of obstacles with it. While I found it okay to use personally, our company moved away from it quickly because the backend was too complex.
