“Great setup help but needs update alerts
Pros
We had live support during setup and help is always just a call or email away for new questions or payroll issues.
Cons
One thing I noticed is that we are not always notified about changes or updates in advance.

“reports are good but I want better tax access
Pros
I really like how simple the reporting is and how easy Paycom makes payroll.
Cons
Umm I really wish we could access state tax reports more easily and had more flexibility in configuring PTO settings. Also when the overtime law changed in July, I hoped there would be a smoother way to handle OT payments for salaried employees.

“useful tools but a not right fit for Australia
Pros
It includes a lot of useful tools like the Paycom Learning system and basic HR functions such as approving time off. There is also an applicant tracking system we have not started using yet since we have had the platform for a few years.
Cons
We attempted to use it for our Australian operations but the app was not functional there. We ran into issues like requiring social security numbers for login which do not exist in Australia and inability to adapt payroll tax rates for the region. Although we were told it would work, during implementation it fell short which disappointed our management team. The interface also feels outdated, reminiscent of 90s software.

UI is incredibly user-friendly and navigation feels so easy. I appreciate how simple the instructions are throughout the platform. Being able to print paystubs and adjust withholdings directly online saves me so much time and there are plenty of other useful features to explore.

“complete operational failure

Offers alot of services and while the expense management system isn't perfect, it handles reimbursable expenses reasonably well.
Cons
After nearly two years with them, we've faced constant struggles since day one. The initial setup was botched, API integrations were problematic and the issues just keep piling up. Despite multiple conversations about our dissatisfaction, nothing really changes. We've switched specialists several times due to poor service and lack of knowledge from our assigned contacts. Even though we've been patient and expanded into HR services, it's obvious they can't deliver improvements. Every aspect has been problematic from incorrect initial configurations to completely messing up major changes we requested. We actually had to hire a third-party contractor to fix their mistakes and help with critical initiatives. The expense management tool is terrible - neither our HR nor finance teams can make it work properly. You can't even speak directly with their tax team, instead you upload documents to a portal and wait indefinitely for responses. We've received tax notices without any communication from them, even when I follow up directly with our contact. After several "big talks" about their service, they promise verbally that they know what their doing but execution always falls short. I wanted to write this review six months in but held off hoping they'd improve. Don't use this as there are much better options available.
