“Does what its supposed to do”
Pros
For the most part, it does what it's meant to do. It makes direct deposit payroll and onboarding more simple and they handle the tax side fairly well too.
Cons
Trying to get support is a real headache. The phone wait times are long every single day and when we ran into a tax issue, I couldn't get any help by phone and was told to email the tax research team instead. Then that team told me the response could take up to 90 days which felt pretty bizarre.

“Easy to move about”
Pros
The platform is simple to use and getting around it feels easy.
Cons
The biggest frustration is customer support. Whenever I have a question and try to get help, it's very difficult to reach someone. There have been several times when I've spent more than an hour just trying to speak with a representative.

“Indispensable for my business”
Pros
From payroll and tax prep to W-2s and overall payroll management, this software has improved every part of how I run my business. It's really helped take things to the next level and I honestly don't have any complaints. Thank you, Paycor.
Cons
I can't point to any feature that I dislike. It has played a big part in helping my business grow from bringing in $30,000 a year to reaching $100,000 and I'm genuinely grateful for that.

“Handy w2 access”
Pros
Using the app felt simple and it was really convenient having our W-2s available there every year. I also enjoyed the circle graph that broke down where each part of my paycheck was going.
Cons
Having to reset my password all the time was annoying and that process was definitely not simple. The app also would have been much better if it let me track my hours during the week instead of only showing my paystubs.

“Quick mobile clock-ins”
Pros
Clocking in from a phone feels very up to date. It only takes a few taps to get signed in for work. There's still a desktop option which is helpful if your phone isn't working or the battery dies but using the phone is definitely more convenient. The app also records your location which helps confirm that you were at work or close by if there's ever any question about it.
Cons
Things get frustrating in areas where neither mobile data nor the workplace WiFi reaches. In those dead spots, logging in can be difficult. You might miss a punch completely or the app gets stuck on the loading circle and freezes up.

“poor support and payroll hassles”
Pros
On the plus side, Paycor was simple to get around and I really liked the overall colors and layout. The reporting tools were flexible too so I could create whatever report I needed and adjust the formatting without much trouble. It was also helpful that payroll reports populated automatically with each payroll and I could pull them whenever I needed.
Cons
The biggest problem was the lack of customer service. I spoke with reps several times about issues like unanswered emails, 401k file options, GL problems and other concerns but nothing really seemed to improve. A lot of the time I ended up going into the back end myself to fix things like GL, deductions, earnings and more just so the work would get done. In payroll, you really cannot sit around waiting for answers and you need support reps who actually know the product. With Proliant, I have one dedicated payroll rep, one benefits rep and one GL rep.

“Super useful on the go”
Pros
Using Paycor day to day made clocking in and out really convenient especially since I could do it right from the app on my phone. It also let me keep up with my timesheet, request vacation time and note doctor appointments without any hassle. My W-2 was handled through Paycor as well and it arrived on time so I could file my taxes without delays. Overall, it's been extremely helpful and very user friendly.
Cons
I have no real complaints. It's been very useful, user friendly and always accessible whether I'm on my computer or using the app.

“better layout and simple tracking”
Pros
Time tracking is simple and the site layout feels much better to use than ADP.
Cons
My only real complaint is that if you're not using the app, the mobile site can be pretty glitchy and still needs work. I run into that a lot while handling contracts for Intermed.

Pros
The layout is simple to navigate and pulling reports doesn't take much effort. When I'm processing payroll, the grid setup also makes it very convenient to make any needed changes.

“simple setup with flexibility”
Pros
Right away the product stood out for how simple and adaptable it was. Using it felt very simple and that mattered a lot while the company's leadership was under pressure to move to a new system. From my perspective, this was exactly the kind of setup I had hoped for.
Cons
Paycor could be stronger if it offered more features like tools to help organize informal employee events. The related solution and customer support also seem like areas that need improvement. On top of that, the non-standard time and attendance structure creates quite a bit of confusion and leads to too much manual data entry.

“My choice”
Pros
From the start this product stood out for how versatile it was and how simple it felt to use. Everything was very simple, clear and user-friendly. It was actually my top choice but unfortunately upper management felt pressured to move forward quickly and ended up selecting a different system instead.
Cons
I didn't run into any drawbacks. The software worked really well and I had no trouble at all getting up to speed with it.
