“User-friendly team management tools”
Pros
Using Paycor has been a positive experience overall. Most of the platform feels very user-friendly, aside from the calendar scheduling which I'll mention separately. It makes managing my team much simpler since I can quickly see who's out on leave and I get email alerts whenever someone submits a time-off request. I also really appreciate the paycheck section because I can look back at my pay stubs from the past year and download the tax forms I need without any hassle.
Cons
At first, the time-off request page isn't the most user-friendly to figure out. The calendar feature can also feel a little confusing.

“poor implementation follow-through”
Pros
The onboarding part was the only real bright spot. During the demo, the rest of the features looked impressive in theory but once the system goes live, you're mostly left to figure everything out by yourself. The implementation team seems available just long enough to get the settings entered and then their attention shifts to onboarding new customers. After rollout, there really isn't anyone available to answer product-use questions which is exactly when those questions start coming up.
Cons
The implementation experience fell short of what was promised. We ran into several problems getting our year-to-date balances transferred correctly from the previous provider. On top of that, we never had enough hands-on time with the module before the implementation specialist essentially dropped off so we were left without the support we needed.

This product has been really good overall and it gives employees direct access to their accounts along with their pay stubs whenever they need them and more.

“Quick setup and paystub access”
Pros
Getting started as an employee is really simple and the system is very user-friendly. It doesn't take long at all to be added which makes the whole process quick and convenient.
Cons
I haven't run into any issues. It's a really solid program and being able to access paystubs so easily is a big plus.

“reliable payroll that delivers”
Pros
It does what it's supposed to do and the team generally follows through on what they say they'll handle. The system is functional, dependable and not plagued by bugs. It may not be the most user-friendly platform out there but it also doesn't put your business at risk by missing filings or dropping the ball on important tasks.
Cons
The interface could definitely be more user-friendly. Someone with payroll experience should be able to run things without much trouble but if you're new to payroll, expect to need a bit of training first.

“responsive reporting feature”
Pros
Right from the start this platform has felt like a modern and user-friendly payroll management system. We've been using it for a while and the service has been excellent. It comes across as a very powerful tool and the analytics are especially helpful when it comes to handling detailed reporting. It's one of the best payroll platforms for tracking HR records, timekeeping and hiring information all in one place. The interface is also very responsive which has been a big advantage for us since it helps resolve discrepancies immediately.
Cons
One drawback I've noticed is that formatting reports on this platform can be a bit challenging. It doesn't appear as simple as it actually is which can make the process feel confusing at first.

“payroll and workflows help my work!!”
Pros
One thing that really works well on this platform is how much it helps with day-to-day processes. The automated workflows are especially useful for getting tasks completed on time without needing constant follow-up. I also appreciate the career management features because they make employees feel like the company is actually invested in their long-term growth. On top of that, the payroll management stands out in a big way. A reliable payroll system that handles tasks automatically makes a huge difference and this one does that very well.
Cons
There is not much to complain about. If anything, the user interface could use some improvement. It works fine as it is but I do think it could be polished further and made better overall.

“excellent onboarding and manager tools”
Pros
From onboarding all the way through day-to-day use as an employee, the whole experience with Paycor was excellent. The self-service features worked really well and over the course of the year the platform handled evaluations, benefits enrollment, timeclock tracking and PTO management in a way that made my job as a manager much better.
Cons
I didn't run into any problems while using this product. From a manager's perspective, it worked very well for what I needed.

“paystubs and time-off made simple”
Pros
Having quick access to paystubs especially from my phone, has been really convenient. Requesting time off is simple and for hourly employees, clocking in and out is just as simple. Everything has worked reliably for me.

This product has worked really well overall and I haven't run into any problems with it.

“courteous support, frustrating software”
Pros
Whenever something went wrong, their customer service team was at least quick to reach and consistently polite and helpful which mattered because problems came up more than a few times.
Cons
The software was full of technical problems and the reporting side felt pretty limited in terms of what it was actually able to do.

“user-friendly dashboard”
Pros
Right away, the homepage and overall UI feel very user-friendly. With HR software, the most important things are usually quick access to pay stubs and payment details, PTO information and tax documents and Paycor makes all three simple to locate and use. Being able to customize the homepage is an added bonus. The org chart, whether viewed as a list or a chart, is also incredibly useful for getting familiar with the company or looking up information about a specific employee.
Cons
I'm very satisfied with Paycor and the features it offers. I have heard from coworkers that timecard entry may not be fully optimized but I haven't used that myself so I can't speak to it personally.

“Convenient payroll and pto access”
Pros
My employees can quickly check their PTO balances and paystubs through Paycor which has been really helpful. The platform has also stayed reliable and hasn't gone down during important times for our company.
Cons
Getting everything set up took quite a bit of time although that's probably expected when changing payroll systems. One thing that bothers me is not being able to set up my own vacation accrual rules and having to reach out to customer support for that. On top of that, support is generally pretty slow to respond.

“easy payroll and records access”
Pros
This platform gives you access to a lot of useful company information in one place, including the organizational chart, pay stubs, tax documents and the ability to submit hours across multiple categories.
Cons
The employee side doesn't feel especially user-friendly at first although it works well once you get familiar with the layout. Entering hours on a timesheet also isn't very mobile-friendly.

“fantastic payroll and reporting”
Pros
Paycor really delivers when it comes to time tracking, attendance and payroll. Both admins and employees can use it without much trouble and the reporting tools are very strong. The employee profiles are also simple to work with and I especially appreciated being able to track 401k loans by setting goals.
Cons
Actually the HRIS side wasn't as developed as some other platforms I've used. Document storage was a major weakness since files were only organized by upload date, with no customization options at all. It also lacked electronic workflows for onboarding or terminating access across teams like HR, IT and Payroll when several departments needed to be involved. Another frustrating part was that my account rep changed several times without any notice. I would send emails and get no reply, then end up calling customer service sometimes waiting as long as two hours, only to find out I had been reassigned to someone else.

“Frustrating reports and onboarding”
Pros
There was a time when their customer service felt dependable and issues were handled quickly. I also appreciated the performance review package.
Cons
At this point, the reporting side isn't very user-friendly and customer service hasn't been as helpful as it used to be. The onboarding part of the program is also difficult to work with.

“useful iframe, missing email tracking”
Pros
The tool is simple to use and the iframe is a nice touch since it can be added directly to a website with little or no coding knowledge.
Cons
It really lacks email form integration. For a product like this, there should at least be one built-in email integration to help track potential hires.

“Complete HR suite”
Pros
Having the entire HR suite connected in one place has been fantastic. We can take a candidate all the way through hiring, onboarding, employee self-service, performance management and learning without jumping between disconnected tools. There are also a few new modules expected to launch soon which should make the platform even better and add to the overall user experience.
Cons
The customer support timelines and response speed have been getting slower over time. My assumption is that this is happening because their customer base keeps growing day by day.

Pros
Keeping up with hours is really simple, both for my own time and for tracking the hours my employees work. It also makes it very clear how much time off I still have available and how much I've already used during the year.

“terrible support and no response”
Pros
There's at least some automation built in and that saves us a little time here and there.
Cons
I do not even know where to start. If there were a way to give Paycor 0 stars, I absolutely would. The customer service has been awful. I sent a time-sensitive document by email four separate times, called three times and still did not get any communication back for two months. I also asked multiple times to speak with a supervisor and never received any response. It has been incredibly frustrating and I would not recommend Paycor to anyone.
