“One single payroll and benefits hub!!!!”
Pros
Whenever I need pay stubs for something like a loan, I just pull them up here without any hassle. It also lets me check which training I still need, see whether I qualify for benefits and access my W-2 forms. The layout is simple to navigate.
Cons
It can be a little slow to load sometimes although that may just be due to my internet connection.

“transparent goals and team growth”
Pros
Using it feels very simple and it brings a lot of transparency to goal setting without requiring much effort. With the "alignment" view, you can quickly see all the main organizational objectives, initiatives and how each individual contributes. Having development and performance features combined in one platform is also a big plus since it gives leaders a practical way to plan for and support their team's growth.
Cons
Reporting still has room to improve. That said, considering how much the software has developed over the past two years, it feels more like an area that will likely get better with time.

“Powerful reporting and onboarding”
Pros
Getting this rolled out into our business, including bringing OKRs on board, was something they supported really well. The software is simple to use and the reporting features are really strong.
Cons
A limitation is that you can only check in against the overall Objective, not an individual Key Result. There are times when an update applies to only 2 of 4 key results and then it is not clear which one the update is referring to. We ended up adding prefixes to all of our Key Results and then mentioning the number in each update.

“overpriced and disappointing”
Pros
Honestly there wasn't much to appreciate. Nearly everything ended up being more complicated than it should have been.
Cons
Right from the start the mobile app didn't function the way it was described. We also had to handle our own quarterly tax filings which was never made clear beforehand. On top of that, it cost a lot more than other options especially considering that nothing worked the way it was supposed to.

“HR all-in-one powerhouse”
Pros
From an HR perspective the amount of information you can store in Paycor is incredibly valuable. The onboarding process is especially user-friendly, making it very clear for employees to know what they still need to complete or set up. It really works as a one-stop system for a wide range of tasks. Employees can request PTO, clock in and out, check paystub details, access important work documents and view their schedules all in one place. Those are features people across the company use every week and Paycor does an excellent job serving as a central tool for everyone.
Cons
There can be delays or punch errors and it seems to be a fairly common problem at my company even when people have a strong internet connection. Because of that some punches get missed or recorded incorrectly which means timecards occasionally have to be adjusted manually.

“rigid setup with workarounds”
Pros
During our onboarding, it seemed like the company was going through some internal changes. We were promised quite a bit but the implementation ended up being really difficult.
Cons
The system just wasn't very configurable. We had to follow their process instead of ours which created a lot of extra workarounds.

“solid HR tools overall”
Pros
Paycor does a good job handling our core HR tasks and has been reliable for the basics. I'm also hoping to see stronger benefits integration in the future.
Cons
One issue we still run into is mobile access. It doesn't always work when employees need to clock in or out from their phones.

“Local payroll tool I'm happy with”
Pros
Having employee information right at my fingertips has been a huge help especially since I no longer need to send multiple emails or make calls to HR just to get what I need. Tasks like approving PTO, reviewing hours and forecasting overtime are all very simple now. It's also a bonus that the company is local and provides jobs for a lot of people in my community.
Cons
The recent updates fixed the only issues I had with the software. Adjusting time cards used to be frustrating but now the process is much simpler.

“employee-friendly and time-saving”
Pros
Employees can use it without much trouble which cuts down on the amount of supervision management has to provide. It also gives them access to look back at previous information whenever they need it.
Cons
Paystub access is there but it would be more convenient if the system remembered where you left off when printing something like a full year's worth of records or if it let you choose multiple pay periods to print all at once.

“organized employee access”
Pros
The employee profiles are well organized and both staff and employers can find everything they need all in one place.
Cons
It can be pretty sensitive. At times, it takes a minute or two to register a clock-in or clock-out and if the button gets double-clicked by accident, it can record two punches.

“Helps with common goals and recognition”
Pros
Two features I really value are the ability to set shared objectives and the recognition tools.
Cons
Getting the platform configured in a way that works for every team and function across the organization can feel overwhelming at first. Once everything is in place though, it takes very little daily or weekly effort to maintain and continues delivering value across the whole organization.

“fantastic review tools and support”
Pros
Getting started with 7geese was very simple so I could navigate the platform and roll out a few features across the business on my own. The review and feedback tools were particularly valuable for us while managing some internal projects. Our implementation coach was incredibly supportive as well. We had regular one-on-one meetings and he always helped me sort out any issues that came up.
Cons
I haven't run into any drawbacks. Everything has been excellent so far.

“Easy goal tracking”
Pros
Reporting is the biggest win for us especially 1x1s, reviews and goal tracking. Scheduling and reusable templates make the reporting process much faster and a lot more organized. Company and department goals are simple to add, update and monitor across different areas of the system, including reports and reviews. The integration with our authentication system is also a big plus since nobody has to keep track of separate logins or passwords. It also works well from a process standpoint because HR can manage everything while managers stay on top of goals.
Cons
One thing that has been a bit frustrating is rescheduling 1x1s and similar meetings. Sometimes the dates jump back after being changed. It seems to be tied to recurring weekly events so the workaround is probably to remove the original event before rescheduling it.

“helpful progress tracking and recognition”
Pros
Checking daily, weekly and monthly progress on work goals is much more manageable with this. The recognition feature also makes it really rewarding to appreciate coworkers. The feedback tool is another standout part of it and it gives useful insight into teammates' strengths and weaknesses while helping everyone better understand and adapt to different perspectives.
Cons
At this point the features feel perfectly fine and I haven't come across any need for anything additional yet.

Pros
The layout is really well organized and having predetermined information already available is extremely valuable for the team. It saves a huge amount of time.

“payroll setup is fantastic”
Pros
Running payroll with this software has been a very simple process and setting everything up is simple. On the employee side, the system is also very user-friendly and having it available in Spanish is a big plus.
Cons
On the other hand, the billing has been inconsistent and not very transparent. When I ask questions, I still cannot seem to get a direct or clear explanation and I think it is completely reasonable to want to understand exactly what I am being charged for. That issue ties into what has been the worst part of this company for me which is customer service. I have been trying to resolve a billing question about delivery fees for more than a month and at this point I have had to ask three different people, including the sales staff who originally sold me on Paycor. I have also been working on getting a user basic access to review our time cards and that has dragged on for three weeks. I called the support team and they told me it had been fixed but it had not. After that, I opened a case through their support email and a week later I had to follow up again by phone only to be told they had not even begun working on it. I then had to stay on the phone for an hour while they finally addressed it.

“Reliable HR and time tracking”
Pros
I think it does a solid job of tracking employee hours and keeping everything organized. It works well as an all-in-one platform for handling HR needs which makes day-to-day management much more convenient.
Cons
The message center isn't very user-friendly and checking or deleting messages can be frustrating at times. The table for entering hours could also be designed in a more user-friendly way.
