Pros

One thing that really stands out is how flexible it is when it comes to managing employee schedules. It works well not only as a way to organize time off but also as a useful recruitment advantage and a smart way to keep top employees from leaving. On top of that it can lead to better morale, stronger retention and even improved employee health which are all very valuable benefits.

Cons

That said if it is set up as uncapped PTO there is a risk that some employees may take advantage of the policy. Another downside is that employees can sometimes lose track of taking time off altogether since there is no deadline pushing them to use their vacation within a certain period.
