Having HR, payroll and IT tasks all in one place is the biggest advantage of Rippling. It reduces a lot of manual work and makes employee management much simpler. The automation tools especially for onboarding and offboarding, are really helpful and save a significant amount of time. The interface is also user friendly so even new users can navigate it without much trouble.
Cons
Overall my experience with it has been very positive. It simplifies processes that would otherwise need several different systems which helps improve both accuracy and productivity. There are a few areas that could be refined from time to time but it consistently performs well and supports daily operations effectively.

Right from the start it has been very user friendly and covers all of our payroll, HR and benefits needs in one place. Our team is able to jump in and use it on day one without much guidance which has made onboarding and day to day tasks much simpler.
Cons
Lately the app has been pretty buggy. We've run into issues where it takes a long time to load and sometimes employees cannot clock in or out because it just keeps spinning.

Having HR, IT, payroll and staff management connected in one place makes Rippling incredibly practical and powerful to use. The biggest advantage is how everything works together in a single system which cuts down a lot of manual work and saves a significant amount of time. The interface is very user friendly and even new users can get comfortable with it without much training. It's simple to handle employee records, attendance and performance tracking from the same platform. Payroll is fast and accurate and the automatic handling of taxes, salaries and deductions helps reduce errors. Another strong point is the flexibility. I can set up workflows, approvals and reporting based on what the company actually needs. On top of that customer support is responsive and helpful, giving quick answers and useful direction when needed. Overall it's a very cost-effective solution because it combines several tools into one platform.
Cons
The downside is that the platform can feel a bit overwhelming at first because there are so many features to explore. New users may need to spend some time learning where everything is and how it all fits together. There are also occasional minor bugs and some slow loading times especially when working with large amounts of data. In addition some of the more advanced features come at a higher cost which may not suit smaller businesses with tighter budgets. It would also help a lot if there were more detailed tutorials or beginner-friendly guides to make the learning process faster.

At least the interface looks professional and the app does function but honestly that's about all I can say. After nearly a year of using it, a lot has changed.
Cons
What's been most frustrating is how little responsibility they take when problems happen on their end and believe me, that happens constantly. On top of that it takes them far too long to respond to questions or deal with issues, along with plenty of other ongoing problems.

Tracking down paystubs or commission details is actually easy. Putting in a quick PTO request takes about 30 seconds if I want a Friday off. The app is amazing too so I can check all my adulting-related stuff from my phone while I am out. I also appreciate not having to email HR back and forth just to update my own information.
Cons
There's a lot packed into the dashboard so it can feel a bit overwhelming when all I want is to grab a paystub quickly. It's also very communicative as you're definitely not going to miss an update, even if fewer emails would be nicer.

Everything is fairly easy to use, with a simple layout and without a bunch of overwhelming menus. I can usually find exactly what I need on my own without having to contact HR or Rippling for help.
Cons
I really haven't run into any issues with it. The only mildly annoying part was the number of emails it sent but once I completed what it was asking for, the emails stopped.

Managing payroll, app provisioning and device management from a single, unified source of truth saves a huge amount of manual effort, improves employee management, delivers great value for the money and gets rid of the hassle of juggling several disconnected systems.
Cons
It is pretty simple and the overall experience has been good from day one. The interface looks excellent but the backend formula builder for custom reports and automations does take real technical knowledge to fully understand and use well.

Running a small YC-backed startup, we adopted Rippling as our default HR and payroll platform. It takes care of tax withholdings, health insurance and 401(k) administration so we didn't have to build any of that from the ground up. Through the Y Combinator partnership, we also received a year of the Founder Mode subscription for free which gave us a chance to assess the product without any added cost and that has been a real plus. We chose Rippling over other HR tools aimed at startups mainly because the platform felt more mature and their sales team, while occasionally a little aggressive, was usually helpful overall.
Cons
The sales team came across as too pushy which made the buying experience less enjoyable. Another downside is the amount of feature sprawl across the platform. It can be difficult to find your way around and it sometimes seems slow and bloated especially since as a small startup we only need a tiny portion of all those available options.

One of the biggest advantages is how many different reports I am able to pull. The timekeeping setup is also very convenient, whether employees are clocking in and out on the web or through the kiosks. The system stays simple to use while still covering a lot of different HRIS functions and it has also been more affordable than other platforms we've used.
Cons
day to day timecard approvals are probably my least favorite part. For a larger company, handling daily approvals can be difficult. Change requests are also frustrating because each one takes quite a few steps to finish. On top of that the kiosk apps often have issues and sometimes keep employees clocked in for multiple days.
