“Simple but outdated tool

The interface is very interactive, allowing our team to learn and use it with minimal training.

When we bought it, I was promised ongoing updates but that hasn't matched reality. We do get occasional patches, yet newer platforms have moved ahead and we're stuck on an older, poorly maintained release. The original selling point was staying aligned with programming changes so we wouldn't be left behind and that now feels untrue. Our timekeeping system feels outdated and when I try to troubleshoot on my own I quickly hit dead ends. Getting support to assist is nearly impossible. The HRIS and Core modules have the same problems.

“Simple & effective Payroll Solution

Pros

The platform feels very user-friendly, so onboarding newer members on our team has been easy. Right now we're primarily leveraging it for payroll tasks and we have plans to bring in the HR and compensation modules in the near future.

Cons

Customer support has been a pain sometimes, the so-called Rapid Response line rarely acts quickly and I frequently find myself having to pursue them for updates on problems instead of them taking the initiative to follow up.

I am genuinely impressed by the platform's broad suite of features. What really sticks out to me is the flawless way the modules tie together, when I hire someone through the recruiting section, their details automatically pass into onboarding and then into the core system without any glitches or extra steps.

Cons

One part I find frustrating is the report-writing functionality, while generating basic reports is fairly simple, putting together more advanced ones such as a turnover analysis becomes quite challenging. It would be really helpful if there were more in-depth training materials or tutorials to guide me through the complex reporting capabilities.

Pros

Using the onboarding platform has saved me a huge amount of time because every document we capture is automatically pushed into the employee's record in this toolCore. What I find especially valuable is the I-9 correction tool, it allows me to adjust document numbers, expiration dates and even hire dates when necessary.

Cons

Creating and maintaining custom interfaces consumes far too much of our team's time and resources. It'd be much more effective if this tool technicians could coordinate directly with vendors to define the detailed requirements, rather than making our group manage that entire process alone.

My experience with online resources is great and Ulti University has helped me learn the system.

I find the payment process for taxes needs clear improvement overall. it feels slow and I require quicker responses for tax-related transactions.

the reporting tools and BI functionalities are excellent, and any time I reach out for assistance the support team responds quickly and seems very knowledgeable.

When it comes to workforce management and time tracking, they feel fairly constrained to me and honestly seem like they need a total overhaul of the system.

UKG Pro is feature-rich and covers almost everything related to HR and payroll. Its also user-friendly making it easy for employees to navigate.

My only criticism is that employee time card punches should be more precise but its not a major concern.

Pros

The sales team is excellent and some modules were easier to launch than others. They have a large client base which speaks to the demand for their software.

This implementation is possibly the worst Ive encountered. The customer service is abysmal with long wait times and minimal assistance. The software itself is cumbersome with confusing menus and inefficient reporting.

“Excellent Hiring and Onboarding Solution

Pros

It handles the whole recruitment and onboarding lifecycle from beginning to end. Payroll calculations and processing run without hiccups, and it's simple to pull up employee compensation information. Managing performance reviews and keeping track of staff has become significantly easier, everything integrates together smoothly and coherently.

Cons

Unfortunately, I find the customer support rather disappointing and overall help feels only average. There's very little flexibility to customize the experience for candidates which is frustrating. On top of that, navigation can be confusing, the menu structure doesn't follow a logical order, so locating the things I need often takes far longer than it should.

The ease of use is unparalleled. The software is accessible from anywhere and any device. We can access UKG to view payroll T4s and year-to-date statements via the website.

This product is so straightforward and intuitive that I cant identify any drawbacks.

The best thing about this software is the convenience it offers to employees who can access all their paystubs from the app on their phone.

Customer service is lacking. We face recurring issues with payroll and bank account connections resulting in late payments for employees.

Honestly, I'm impressed by how user-friendly the whole interface is, having every tool centralized improves my workflow a lot and makes tasks much quicker to complete. Also the mobile app is a great addition, since it lets me stay connected and productive even when I'm away from my desk.

For our company, It has become the central place for all employee data which has really smoothed out our everyday processes. I'm blown away by the transparency it delivers, and both our HR team and leadership gain a lot from the self-service options that give everyone the tools they need to do their jobs.

Cons

It's difficult to use at first and it can feel overwhelming when you're trying to configure everything to match your business needs but the high degree of configurability does let you make meaningful improvements as you go.

everything is kept together in one spot, all my financial paperwork is available whenever I need it. When I'm looking through my pay stubs, locating particular details is simple and doesn't involve any guessing.

Getting the account set up at first was awkward because I had to discover the device's default factory password myself, which wasn't obvious and made the initial login more complicated than it should have been.

Overall the tool has all the functions I need and I can handle most topics independently.

I found the user interface to be unintuitive with important functionality hidden in side navigation. The mobile app lacks crucial compensation data forcing me to primarily use the desktop version.
