Unaware of many features

Pros

The interface feels really natural and simple, even for someone new to the system.

Cons

The software appears to have lots of additional features beyond just tracking time but I can't really figure out what they are. Not sure if thATs because of how our company configured things or if UKG just isn't clear about what it actually offers.

Useful for financial planning

Pros

I appreciate the 'Model My Pay' feature. It lets me play around with different scenarios for dependents, withholdings and contributions to see how they'd affect my paycheck. While ADP might have a more comprehensive overall platform, this particular tool is incredibly useful for financial planning.

Cons

Getting time off approved is a hassle since I have to jump between different platforms just to check my PTO balance or see what holidays are coming up. It's frustrating having to remember multiple passwords and keep several tabs open when all I want to do is plan a vacation, definitely not the smooth experience I was hoping for.

More suited for UsA users

Pros

The customer service team is really friendly and they get what we actually need as customers.

Cons

It seems designed primarily for Us users and it really needs better functionality tailored to Canadian customers like myself.

Easy navigation

Pros

I worked with this system daily during my HR internship and found it easy to navigate, even as someone completely new to it. The mobile app was a game-changer, being able to quickly check my upcoming paycheck amount and payday from anywhere made managing my finances so much simpler.

Cons

I really didn't have many complaints about this system. It's fantastic, especially if your new to payroll management. However, adjusting deductions can be pretty tedious and time-consuming. Also, removing a dependent from the system is more complicated than it should be.

love the mobile app but it needs some updates

Pros

I can easily check my paycheck and pull up employee info right from my phone. The mobile access is really convenient for staying on top of things when I'm away from my desk.

Cons

Can't edit anything through the mobile app as it's basically read-only. Really wish I could update employee info and make other changes while I'm on the go instead of having to wait until I'm back at my computer.

Amazing Time Clock Entry feature

Pros

Found it to be user friendly and that new 'Time Clock Entry' feature is brilliant. I can clock in within seconds. We use this mainly for timekeeping and sharing our internal database and it handles both tasks smoothly.

Cons

Moving through it can be pretty confusing and doesn't always make sense. Like when I want to check my old PTO requests, I have to go through Time Management, then Add Time Off Request (which is weird) and finally View Calendar. Finding the 'View Time Off Calendar' link shouldn't be this complicated.

Clock-in fast but slow support

Pros

I really like how clean and simple the tool is and the new 'Time Clock Entry' option is excellent, clocking in takes just a few seconds. We use the app primarily for tracking time and sharing our internal database and it performs both jobs without any issues.

Cons

when I want to look up past PTO requests I'm forced to use to Time Management, then select Add Time Off Request (which feels wrong), and finally go to View Calendar. It shouldn't be so convoluted to locate the 'View Time Off Calendar' link.

Visually appealing dashboard

Pros

Logging time in the timesheet is pretty simple and I really like how the PTO request feature works. It flows directly from me to my manager for approval. The dashboard looks good and navigating around the system feels intuitive.

Cons

If you mess up one of the times when entering your hours, it throws an error and I can't fix it without refreshing the entire page which means losing all the data I've already entered. Also, figuring out how many PTO hours I have remaining is pretty confusing.

Can submit time-off requests easily

Pros

Great to be able to check my PTO balance on the spot and submit time-off requests without hassle. When things don't sync with my personal calendar, its really helpful to verify everything officially so I can keep my schedule accurate.

Cons

I've run into login issues a few times, though it doesn't happen often. The desktop version feels more friendly when I need access to all the UKG features. Mobile access works fine for basic tasks.

Easy to keep track of everything

Pros

Pie chart helps understand earnings

Pros

Logging in and out for tracking time is super simple. The pay breakdown with that pie chart visualization is really helpful for understanding earnings. Everything stays current and gets updated promptly, plus I appreciate the paperless approach.

Cons

Getting help when you need troubleshooting is really difficult and while the web integration works fine, the mobile app feels pretty restricted in what you can actually accomplish with it.

Pay history available

Pros

I like having my time clock management and pay history available whenever I need it. The interface is really userfriendly. Making adjustments to my time entries is as simple as clicking a button.

Cons

sometimes when multiple people try to log in at once, the system gets bogged down and you can't access it. This happens frequently enough that staff end up having to adjust there time entries since it takes forever to actually get logged in.

solid All-Around solution

Pros

The platform really covers all bases for different user types. I find the recent updates make it much more simple to use whether you're handling admin tasks or just clocking in as a regular employee. What I appreciate most is having everything consolidated, no more juggling between different apps.

Cons

I wish there were more training resources to help users discover all the features. Maybe some pop-up tips or "did you know" suggestions would be helpful, since this program has tons of capabilities that people don't even realize exist.

Easily switches between weekly and monthly schedule views

Pros

I really like how simple it is to switch between weekly and monthly schedule views. The push notifications for open shifts and new schedule postings are super helpful and checking those schedule notifications is straightforward.

Cons

scheduling time off was pretty confusing for our team. Took multiple tries to get the hang of it and even then, explaining the process to others was difficult.

Incredible implementation team

Pros

The implementation team was awesome. Patti Holp, Michelle Jessup, Camilla Padilla, Willie Chong and Cristina Hooker really made the whole process smooth.

Cons

I still need to handle time processing through Kronos Workforce Ready, which is inconvenient

Too many bugs

Pros

I like the layout of this software.

Cons

The software is riddled with bugs and crashes constantly. There ssO feature is basically non-existent, forcing me to change my password what feels like every other day. While it handles important documents well enough, getting randomly signed out mid-session is incredibly frustrating and disruptive to workflow.

submitting requests is simple

Pros

Appreciate how easy it is to submit requests with no complications or roadblocks. Being able to check my timesheet and payroll details whenever I need them is really convenient. Plus, clocking in directly from my computer saves me time.

Cons

I can't really think of anything negative to say about it that I'm aware of.

Crashes at times

Pros

The training modules keep me actively involved by requiring me to click forward periodically which prevents me from just letting videos run in the background.

Cons

sometimes the app crashes and forces me to restart entire lessons from the beginning. This happened while using my Android device, though I'm not certain if that was a factor.

scalable system

Pros

Love how scalable this system is. It works just as well for small teams as it does for large organizations. The customization options are superb and I can adjust it to fit our specific needs perfectly. What impressed me most was the client service team. They're responsive and knowledgeable. The setup process was also much smoother than other HRIs platforms I've worked with in the past.

Cons

The reporting features work well overall but they definitely have some limitations that can be frustrating.
