Customer service is lacking

Pros

The interface feels well laid out and I can find everything without any issues.

Cons

Customer support feels inadequate and I've found that the system doesn't integrate well with other platforms, which really limits the overall user experience.

Big fan of features like org chart

Pros

I find it really user-friendly. There are certain features I rely on constantly like the org chart, which I'm a big fan of.

Cons

The login just stopped working out of nowhere and it's not recognizing my security questions either. This isn't the first time I've heard about this happening to other people here. Pretty convenient timing since it happened right when I was finishing this survey.

Helps us stay compliant

Pros

The interface is simple to use and this software keeps everything current which helps us stay compliant across different areas. I appreciate the modern design, it makes the whole experience much more comfortable. We've practically eliminated paper since switching and now all the information we used to dig through storage to find is right there when we need it. The reporting capabilities are outstanding too, letting me pull data on virtually any field.

Cons

Configuration options for certain onboarding and product fields could be more flexible. Customer support takes too long to respond when you have tax-related questions or need amendments processed.

Very Poor Experience, Won't Return

Pros

I appreciate that you can run off-cycle payrolls without extra fees. This comes in handy when I need to pay out terminated employees quickly or fix missing hours on someone's paycheck.

Cons

The portal feels really outdated and clunky, reminds me of those old IBM systems from the 90s. The payroll interface is honestly terrifying to use. When I'm processing payroll, there's no way to see what I'm actually about to pay out without exiting completely, running reports, then going back in to approve everything. I always feel like I'm flying blind when hitting that submit button. Our employees constantly struggle with the self-service features and usually just give up, which means they end up calling HR for things like direct deposit changes or PTO requests. The reporting structure makes no sense either, why have reports split between "Reports" and "Business Intelligence"? It's just confusing. But honestly, the worst part is their service. We paid $4,000 for a Learning Management system implementation that's taken over 6 months and still isn't finished. Getting updates from them is like pulling teeth. I'll never consider them again and definitely won't be recommending this to anyone. We're switching providers as soon as our contract ends.

Frustrating customer service

Pros

Processing payroll has become so much simpler for us. Simple to get the hang of.

Cons

I've been dealing with their customer support for nearly 2 years and it's been frustrating. Getting responses feels impossible and there was one issue that dragged on for over 18 months before they finally addressed it, though they still didn't fix it properly.

Everything in one place

Pros

Everything I need is right here. Goals, timesheets and payroll info all consolidated in one spot

Cons

I find it annoying that viewing timesheets opens up a separate browser window instead of staying within the main interface.

Precise time tracking

Pros

I like how precise the time tracking is and the straightforward design makes everything simple to navigate. Seeing accruals and attendance is clear, plus the mobile app is incredibly user-friendly.

Cons

The main downside is that the mobile app doesn't have all the functionality available on the desktop version, though it still covers most of what you need.

A bit complicated

Pros

Great for tracking time and getting clear reports on how we're staffed, really helps me stay on top of scheduling and see where we might be short-handed.

Cons

Feels complicated and the reporting customization isn't easy at all. Since the consolidation, there's this annoying window-within-window setup that makes getting around really frustrating.

Highly customizable to fit our needs

Pros

Customizable according to our needs. I can add custom fields anywhere and automate employee record inputs to fit our specific workflow. The BI reporting gives me deep workforce analytics that really help understand our human cAPItal performance. The launch process is intensive but their project team provides excellent support throughout. Each team member specializes in different areas like Core HR, WFR, Perception or Recruiting, so they're true subject matter experts who can transfer knowledge effectively. This setup really prepared us for success from day one.

Cons

The only downside is that it can feel overwhelming at first when you're transitioning from simpler systems. There's so much functionality that it takes time to fully explore everything it offers.

Never disappointed me

Pros

The team at UKG really goes the extra mile for their customers. Their payroll engine is rock solid. I've been relying on it for more than two decades and it's never let me down.

Cons

They don't offer expense management feature which would be really helpful to have integrated.

BI feature lets everyone create reports

Pros

I really appreciate how straightforward payroll processing is and how well it keeps our records organized. The Business Intelligence feature is fantastic and it makes creating reports accessible to everyone on the team. I can get accurate data to my admin staff quickly and efficiently.

Cons

The integration between this and UKG Dimensions still needs work. It'll be great once these two systems finally merge into one platform instead of operating separately.

Exceptional support Experience

Pros

Customer service here is outstanding. Whenever we've run into the occasional hiccup, their reps have been so supportive. This system packs a serious punch with tons of features that really help drive our company's success.

Cons

User role setup was really challenging and not well explained during initial configuration. When we tried adding a new department to our company listing, it wouldn't work at all. Had to call support only to discover we needed admin rights enabled, something I had no idea even existed in the system.

Pros

I like how customizable the interface is. You can really tailor the appearance to match your preferences. Navigation is pretty simple too, finding specific sections or items feels natural and doesn't require much effort.

Cons

smooth payroll

Pros

I really appreciate how smooth the web payroll processing runs. Opening and sending payroll becomes such a breeze with this system.

Cons

Happy user of 9 years

Pros

I've been working with this platform for 9 years now. What really stands out is how easy to use it is, and whenever I hit a snag, there's always plenty of help documentation available.

Cons

I'm not a fan of UTM but I'm hoping UKG ready will fix these issues.

Cons
