Customer support team really knows their stuff and has been super helpful whenever I've reached out.
Cons
Communication about unresolved issues after upgrades has been poor. They upgraded our BI system but there's still a search problem that hasn't been addressed or even acknowledged

“Love the ease of use it provides
Pros
I love how easy to use it is. Getting around and completing tasks feels convenient, which makes a huge difference. The recruitment and performance management modules have had the biggest impact on our operations. We needed an HRMs that could serve both our shop floor and office staff, accessible from anywhere. This solution definitely delivers on that front. Plus, we've saved money by eliminating physical pay stubs. Employees can now access their paystubs on the go and check their vacation balances anytime without bothering payroll. The recruitment module transformed how we handle job postings and applications. Instead of sorting through resume emails that ate up tons of manpower, everything's online now. Being able to organize resumes by position is incredibly helpful and saves so much time. The compensation module lets us use salary plans to keep sensitive information secure within the system rather than emailing spreadsheets with confidential data to managers. It's also much easier to review historical data and compare salary band recommendations when we're considering raises or bonuses.
Cons
The Business Intelligence section can be a bit tricky to navigate sometimes. You really need to be tech-savvy to create custom reports effectively.

“Lets us manage everything on the go
Pros
The single sign On feature has been a game changer. Our old HR system required multiple login credentials that employees constantly forgot when trying to access their timesheets, W-2s and pay stubs. The mobile functionality we gained this year is another huge plus. Previously, both staff and supervisors were tied to desktop computers for workforce management but now they can handle everything on the go.
Cons
Managing payroll taxes gets tricky and the salary planning tools could use some work. The role automation features don't always function as smoothly as I'd expect either.

Pros
Their customer service team is cooperative and stays on top of communication. They keep us informed about updates, fixes and training opportunities right from the start.
Cons
The different modules don't always work together smoothly and you end up having to enter the same information in several places to make it actually useful.

“They should handle changes

Really helpful for getting our team signed up for benefits plans.
Cons
I really wish there was a way to submit change requests and have UKG handle them instead of making us figure everything out ourselves. With our small team, sometimes I just need something updated or modified without having to learn the whole process. Especially since it might be a year before I need to do it again and by then I've forgotten everything.

“Outstanding reporting features
Pros
Reporting features are outstanding. With IBM BI Reporting (Cognos integration), we can pull any data from the system whenever needed, either manually or through automation, and send it to whoever requires it. Plus, the customer service via RAPId Response is great. I've never had a poor experience when reaching out to their support team.
Cons
Can't really think of anything major that's missing or needs improvement.

“Learning Center has helped me along my journey
Pros
The interface is well organized and honestly, the Learning Center has been a game-changer for my whole UKG journey. Between connecting with other companies through community blogs and jumping into those live training sessions, there's always something new to explore. I've picked up so much knowledge in just 6 months on the job and I really credit having all these resources at my fingertips.
Cons
I wish the organization charts were more flexible. Since our leaders oversee multiple areas, we can't generate department-specific org charts like we need. Adding extra fields or better filtering options would really solve this issue for us.

I really appreciate all the resources they provide to help you maximize the system. Learning Center, customer support, user communities, account managers and connections with other users make a huge difference. The functionality keeps getting better since they're constantly improving and rolling out new features to help customers get more value. Their communication about changes is fantastic too, which makes it so much easier for us to keep our employees informed and ensure they have a smooth experience with the platform.
Cons
The biggest headache is definitely dealing with tax stuff. Getting answers or fixing amendments takes forever. By the time you finally hear back, you've practically forgotten what the original issue was about. I also wish we could customize more of the features. Our managers would probably use the Talent Dashboard way more if the alerts and messages actually went to their regular inbox instead of some separate place. It's a really useful feature but hard to get people to adopt when it's not integrated with their normal workflow.

Pros
Features and ongoing improvements are impressive! Initially, customer support was excellent and everyone was eager to assist. The setup team walked us through setup perfectly. BI reporting is outstanding too! There's definitely a learning curve for running and editing reports but once you grasp the basics, it becomes useful. The Connections conference was invaluable for learning more about BI reporting features.
Cons
Customer support has really gone downhill over time. In our first year, things were pretty solid but now it feels like we're getting less and less help. Our rep basically just opens tickets for us when we ask which we can do ourselves anyway. What's really frustrating is waiting weeks for responses on urgent issues, especially when it's something payroll-critical that can't wait.

“Amazing reporting capabilities
Pros
The user functionality is excellent and simple. Having multiple taxing options based on earnings is an amazing feature. The multifaceted authentication system works smoothly and helps us stay compliant. What I find incredible is the reporting capabilities in Cognos. Being able to create and run custom reports right at my fingertips is amazing.
Cons
The payroll team is limited to certain functions in the back office compared to the web interface. I'd prefer to process everything from the web but you can't mix and match, its either all back office or all web

UTM model feels really user-friendly from an admin perspective. Pulling data from reports is so smooth. I can generate them in multiple ways for auditing and recently discovered the automatic scheduling feature that sends email alerts. The scheduler and accrual sections are clean, making it easy to review PTO usage and handle balance issues. There's even geo-fencing option that's invaluable since we let employees clock in through the app, it shows exact coordinates and location photos. Their learning center in Core is extremely helpful. Just type your question or keywords and get detailed step-by-step guidance. UltiUniversity offers both live virtual sessions and on-demand training, which is great. I particularly value earning credits toward payroll certification maintenance. The payroll gateway makes processing straightforward. The right side has "Things I can do" hyperlinks that guide you to different processing areas, while the left side shows essential reports to run before finalizing payroll. Customer service deserves major praise. It's refreshing to actually reach someone by phone or get called back promptly. Their reps are highly skilled and responsive, they'll stay on until everything's resolved without making you feel rushed. You can also create cases through there customer success portal. The customer success portal works great for opening and tracking cases. I frequently use it to forward tax notices, sUI rate changes and other notifications. Once issues are reviewed or resolved, I get email updates with attached documentation detailing any transactions or payments made.
Cons
I wish the reporting options were stronger when handling adjustments. Would really help me double-check that everything was entered correctly.

Love how transparent everything is here. Having control over the system is important to me and this definitely delivers on that front. The flexibility you get with the role-based setup is impressive. You can configure things exactly how you need them.
Cons
The interface can be pretty confusing at times and I sometimes feel like I need a programming degree just to get basic features working properly.

I've found this to be user-friendly compared to other systems I've worked with. The modules integrate well with the core platform, which makes everything flow smoothly. After using four different HRIs/Payroll systems throughout my career, this one stands out as both the most straightforward and comprehensive solution I've used.
Cons
Onboarding and recruiting sections have some missing features that would be helpful. Also, payroll tax support could be more timely, sometimes there are delays when you need quick assistance.

The recruiting and onboarding features have been useful for my work as a recruiter but they could be better
Cons
The recruiting feature is missing some key functionality that would make it more useful. I really wish we could share candidate pools with team members, create custom dispositions and lock the order of interview questions. It's also frustrating that you cant attach files to emails or upload private documents to candidate profiles without them seeing everything. The default offer email verbiage can't be customized either, which limits our flexibility.

Pros
Reporting capabilities really stand out here. When the FFCRA legislation hit, they quickly rolled out new earnings codes to keep us compliant.
Cons
sometimes there are bugs in the payroll system that cause real headaches. The federal reporting like 941s and state compliance features don't always keep up with the latest requirements, which can put you behind. When I contact support, it feels like they're rushing to close tickets rather than actually solving the problem. I wish they'd invest more resources into maintaining the core payroll functionality and keeping everything current with regulations.
