Strong and powerful

Pros

Honestly, I find the interface so interactive that getting around all the employee lifecycle functions is easy. In my experience, recruiting and onboarding have been especially smooth, our HR group is thrilled with how simplely candidates become active employees, and the payroll integration works really well. What I appreciate most is the real-time visibility into payroll adjustments and their downstream effects without having to wait for external updates. Being able to control table configurations for deductions, earnings, GL codes and locations gives us terrific flexibility when business requirements shift. Keeping payroll balanced over the course of the year has become much less stressful which makes quarterly reconciliations easier and keeps year-end paperwork from turning into a nightmare. The Platform Configuration and Reporting features have been transformative for us, we were able to tailor termination workflows so HR consistently captures the right information on time. Overall, the system meets most of our company's needs and I've even run Mexico payroll successfully through their Celergo partnership. Running both US and Canada payroll internally provides us with much better control over timing, particularly around holidays. Going web-based was a lifesaver during the pandemic because our team handled payroll from home without needing the office. Using this toolPayment Services and Print Services saved us from printer upkeep, MICR cartridges and ordering year-end stock. The support teams for Canada payroll, taxes, wage orders and related services have been dependable and responsive which gives us more flexibility when scheduling to support employees. My overall experience has been very positive while nothing's flawless, It significantly improves HR and payroll operations, increases confidence in pay accuracy and helps morale.

Cons

Our implementation was a tough ride, largely because WFM Classic was still fairly new when we switched over. I don't think we ended up with the right configuration, and it's possible we didn't pick the best product for our needs. As a result, we're constantly having to revisit settings that should have been correct from the outset, particularly around the Oracle HCM integration. Customer support could seriously use stronger training, more often than not I have to escalate issues because the first rep either doesn't fully grasp my question or gives incomplete guidance. Global payroll capabilities feel limited, which is frustrating since we operate across several APAC and EMEA countries. That limitation even kept another company I know from selecting this toolPro for their worldwide requirements. Because Oracle HCM is our primary system for international employees, the import process into this toolcan be messy and time-consuming. it works well if you use it as your main HCM, but when it's not your central system, there are clear functional gaps that create friction.

Cons

Cost just doesn't match what you get for your money. Reporting features are complex and getting help is a real struggle. Customer service is inconsistent. If you're using both Time and Payroll modules, be ready for major headaches. These are completely separate systems with different support teams and nobody seems to understand how they work together. When you fix something on one side, it often breaks something else and support can't help with both sides. For a payroll company, they've missed 4 of our payrolls and caused major delays for our employees. We had to handle everything ourselves while they gave us the runaround. No one would tell us what was actually wrong or offer real solutions, they just took forever to respond and made things worse. The whole system feels outdated. Simple tasks like adding an employee or updating their info requires jumping between multiple screens just to get everything synced up. Service outages happen way too often and the mobile app is buggy with geofencing that barely works.

user-friendly platform that listens!

Pros

I find it user-friendly and the customer service team is always there when I need assistance. The customization options let me adjust everything to fit my workflow perfectly. The product capabilities are really impressive compared to other tools I've used. What I appreciate most is how they actually listen to customer feedback and continuously develop new features based on our suggestions.

Cons

The billing structure can get pretty expensive when you're trying to figure out what counts as a paid service versus what's included for free.

Appealing interface!!

Pros

The interface really appeals to me and most features are easy to locate and navigate. Having worked with similar databases before, this one definitely stands out as the most refined. I'm logging into it every day now. It's become part of my morning routine. What I appreciate most is having all my resources consolidated in one place so I don't need multiple tabs to get things done. It's proven to be an excellent solution for both recruiting and onboarding processes.

Cons

It's speed could definitely be better and I wish there were more customization options available. Getting logged out constantly is really frustrating. I'm logging back in multiple times throughout the day even when I'm at the same computer. It should remember my device or something. Sometimes the verification codes don't come through either so I end up trying over and over. I'd also love to be able to rearrange my home screen and change some of the default info that shows up there.

Multiple bad experiences with customer service

Pros

I appreciate the payment services feature and find it helpful to track when employee deposits come back. Voiding checks is not hard.

Cons

Customer service has been pretty disappointing for me. They seem to think they're better than they actually are and I've had poor experiences with them on multiple issues that needed resolving.

Takes up a lot of my time

Pros

The Rapid Response team really comes through when I need help and I appreciate how clean and well-designed the Core portal looks.

Cons

The upload process for earnings is frustrating since you can't do it without running an off cycle payroll. I really miss how ADP handled batches. Having to manually assign earnings codes to each employee makes everything take longer than it should. Plus, dealing with void and reissues takes way too much time.

excellent for usability and customer satisfaction

Pros

It is very simple to use which keeps customers happy and coming back to our site. I appreciate how convenient everything is for people who aren't tech-savvy.

Cons

I feel like reporting capabilities in the recruitment section are pretty limited. A lot of the fields dont transfer over to the main system, which is frustrating. Even though offer letters get generated automatically, they also fail to sync with the employee records in the core platform.

Most complete tool out there!!

Pros

The integration is really tight and there's plenty of modules to build on the core system. The cloud-based service runs reliably and I can count on it being available when needed. Those twice-yearly upgrades happen automatically without any hassle for admins or users. What I really appreciate is the mobile app. It's powerful and gives you access to almost everything the web version does. I can check pay info, fill out W-4s, clock in and out, approve timecards, request time off, look up contacts and tons of other stuff right from my phone. The BI and analytics powered by IBM Cognos are solid, plus there's AI-driven tools that provide useful insights. Since Ultimate Software and Kronos merged in 2020, the value has definitely improved. When you combine the HCM features with UKG Ready or Dimensions, it's probably the most complete solution out there. You can add modules for recruiting, onboarding, performance management, learning, compensation, succession planning and an AI survey tool. There's also various time tracking and workforce management options available.

Cons

While I don't have major complaints, certain modules like Compensation Management and Recruiting could really use more features and functionality once they're rolled out.

major step forward in digital workflow

Pros

Overall, this has been a big step up for us. Moving to a digital system has streamlined our workflows, and the clean interface made it easy for the whole team to get on board. Communication and data tracking are much smoother now. We've been really impressed with the training the live demos and guides are fantastic for learning the ropes and our whole department has gotten a lot out of them. Plus, the actual switch from our old system was surprisingly painless.

Cons

we do have some daily frustrations. The clock-in/out feature is unfortunately unreliable, which causes a lot of employee complaints we can't solve. Password resets are another headache, if someone tries to reset from their phone first, it creates a glitchy loop that locks their account. As the admin, I end up spending way too much time fixing this one specific issue.

Brilliant tiered access feature

Pros

Really appreciate how our team can log in and check their own information whenever they need to. The tiered access feature is amazing. Managers get exactly the permissions they need without overwhelming them. What impressed me most is the unlimited reporting capabilities and how we can customize everything to fit our specific workflow. It's been great having a system that adapts to us rather than the other way around.

Cons

We keep running into problems with WFM and some features that were demonstrated during sales meetings simply aren't available. Creating and customizing things can get confusing sometimes and the training really isn't great. It's more of a figure-it-out-as-you-go situation. When it comes to learning new modules, the training is seriously lacking. We've basically been left to either work things out ourselves or turn to Community Support for help.

powerful automation, complex setup

Pros

The automation abilities have completely transformed how we handle processes and we've practically eliminated paperwork altogether. Customer support deserves special mention too. Whenever I run into issues, the Customer Success team responds quickly with solutions. Having that reliable support just a keystroke or phone call away has made learning this system so much easier.

Cons

The biggest challenge I faced was not realizing how much technical knowledge we'd need to get this system up and running in our setup. We didn't have much IT help and if I'd known from the start just how complex the whole implementation would be, I would have planned for additional support or maybe even hired a consultant.

Excellent for HR automation!!!!

Pros

I can customize reports according to my requirements and my team finds the interface really user-friendly. From an admin perspective, the layout makes everything straightforward and filing PPACA was smooth. Benefit enrollments work great too. Those automatic alerts have been helpful. Since I focus mainly on benefits, they keep me informed about any employee changes so I can address coverage gaps immediately. My employees really appreciate the organizational chart and job posting features. Having an accurate, real-time org chart is huge because traditional ones become outdated within days. The job postings let people see promotional opportunities and submit referrals easily. The onboarding module is amazing, especially with the E-Verify integration for I-9s. It makes bringing on new hires completely paperless. New employees can handle everything including tax forms, direct deposit, policy acknowledgements, state-specific requirements all based on their role and location. No confusion about who needs what. The electronic W-2 consent is another nice touch.

Cons

The character limit for job postings is way too restrictive. I can't fit all the details I want to share with candidates. Also, the BI customization could be more user-friendly since I'm not great with reporting and find it pretty challenging to navigate.
