Cons

“Could be more userfriendly
Pros
Having everything in one central location is a huge time-saver, no more switching between different systems and portals.
Cons
The functionality really bothers me. This could be so much more user-friendly than it currently is. Sometimes finding what I need feels like searching for a needle in a haystack and the way tabs are nested definitely needs work.

Pros
It is so easy to use. I picked it up without needing much training at all. Navigation feels natural and everything's labeled clearly so I never feel lost trying to find what I need.
Cons
The password requirements are pretty annoying, they're way too long and change constantly. Since I haven't tried other time tracking systems, I don't have much to compare it to but honestly I can't think of any real downsides beyond that password issue.

“Helps track overtime
Pros
The setup is really well-organized. Being able to track both regular hours and overtime in one place makes monitoring my time so much easier. Having all the payment options consolidated in a single area of the site is incredibly convenient.
Cons
I can't really think of anything negative to say about this platform. Everything just works so smoothly and makes my job much easier!

“Much-needed payroll system upgrade
Pros
What I like most is how flexible everything is, since I can tailor the setup to match how my business operates. Their documentation and training resources are excellent, and the support team is helpful whenever I need assistance. The reporting features are superb as well, with plenty of pre-built reports ready to use or ones I can tweak however I want.
Cons
Currently we don't have the two-way interface in our version, which restricts some of our workflow options.

Pros
Webinars are so useful and the support team is cooperative. When I need help, they get back to me quickly.
Cons
The business intelligence features are pretty confusing. I'm not really sure why they had to change from the old format, it worked fine before and now its just harder to use.

Interface is very friendly and easy to get around. Support has been fantastic whenever I've reached out for assistance. What stands out most to me is how much you can customize ,we've tailored a lot of features so they align perfectly with our company's specific needs.
Cons
Frequent updates are annoying, right when I've finally learned how a feature works, they alter it again. I do value the enhancements but the nonstop tweaks mean I rarely get the chance to truly master functionality before it's updated once more.

Pros
I recently began using this platform and find the self-service options really good. Can approve time off requests, process salary adjustments and handle position changes quickly, usually takes just a few minutes.
Cons
Can be a bit challenging to navigate to the time off section when I need to approve PTO requests.

Appreciate how user-friendly it is. Finding what I need doesn't take forever. There's also a solid variety of employee management tools that cover most of what we need day-to-day.
Cons
The downside is that employees can't access certain features unless HR specifically enables them first. For instance, I couldn't manage my direct deposit settings until HR gave me permission to do so.

There are so many features available which is really nice. It is simple to use and loading plus printing forms couldn't be easier.
Cons
It can get pretty overwhelming when you're trying to juggle several features at once. We also run into issues with pop-up blockers fairly regularly.

I appreciate having all the features bundled together from recruiting and hiring to managing time off and making timesheet adjustments. Everything flows smoothly and quickly.
Cons
The time clock feature is honestly a nightmare. Installation was way more complicated than the instructions made it seem and it's been nothing but a headache. My store's clock keeps switching time zones by itself.

We really appreciate the flexibility in customization, being able to add fields and shape pages so they reflect how our business actually runs rather than forcing us to change our workflow is a huge plus. Cognos reporting is exceptionally powerful and provides extra data insights that help bridge any informational gaps we might have. What stands out most to me is how responsive Ultimate is to customer feedback, continually rolling out new features and fixes driven by user needs.
Cons
Sometimes I get the sense that features are launched before they're fully baked. Over the past several years there have been multiple additions where my immediate reaction was, 'this has promise, but.' The upside is the team truly pays attention to user feedback and keeps iterating, improving those features over time until they actually become practical and helpful.

Business intelligence features stand out with really solid reporting capabilities. Their payroll system is another standout for me. It's way more comprehensive and reliable than other solutions I've tried.
Cons
The open enrollment interface feels pretty plain and uninspiring. Our team doesn't really get enthusiastic about signing up for benefits since there's nothing engaging about the process.

What I really appreciate is having everything about employees in one place. Whether it's checking available PTOs, submitting work-from-home requests, viewing holidays, accessing pay stubs, W2s or reviewing other benefits, it's all there and works great.
Cons
The interface could definitely use some work. I really struggled to figure out how to add leave requests when I first started using it and there's definitely room for improvement in that area.

Having the mobile app is a plus. It makes submitting PTO requests super convenient and I can easily pull up old timesheets or grab my W2 when tax season rolls around.
Cons
The reports changed after our upgrade and they're not what they used to be. Setup could have been handled better too.
