All-in-one winner with small flaws

Pros

I am really impressed by how everything is consolidated into a single platform , payroll, HR, compliance monitoring, document storage, plus the hiring tools all work together. We swapped out our old, home-built recruiting system because it was awkward and unreliable and now moving candidates straight from applicant status through to a hired employee has been a game changer for us.

Cons

I've noticed the time-tracking tool doesn't always handle some of our shift differentials correctly, which causes issues when calculating pay.

Great support with complex reporting setup

Pros

When our cloud instance is set up correctly, I find payroll runs incredibly smoothly. Their fast-response team has pulled me out of tight spots more than once and the account manager I work with always provides excellent support.

Cons

I get really frustrated trying to locate things in the BI area when I'm not very tech-savvy , the reports and underlying data often feel hidden and hard to access.

Mixed experience with Key Issues

Pros

What really stands out for me is the navigation, it's very smooth and I love that the "How to" guides sit right beside each screen , they make understanding features and workflows a lot easier and quicker to work through.

Cons

I find building reports more cumbersome than necessary, it often takes me too long to locate the correct fields to add and overall the workflow feels like it could use a much more smooth design.

A very complete system

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how fully featured the platform is , it handles virtually every aspect of our HR operations all in a single place.

Cons

I've noticed updates sometimes roll out too fast and without enough testing and it gets pretty aggravating when features break or don't behave the way I expect.

Good when it works

Pros

Ui is very friendly and whenever I get stuck I can almost always track down what I need in the help section or by searching through the forums for answers.

Cons

There are times when things simply don't make sense, like a tiny box or field that throws everything off or a feature that refuses to work well with other parts of the system which turns everything into total chaos for me. Rehires are absolutely ridiculous.

easy import with hard setup

Pros

I really appreciate how the back-office tools and the UTA interface make bringing hourly time-to-pay data into the system feel so smooth and uncomplicated.

Cons

When I try to configure the annual PTO balance imports into UTA, I end up finding the whole process fairly tedious and it consumes a lot of my time to keep it running.

quick fixes, date trouble

Pros

Being able to update system fields myself without contacting support is really convenient for my daily workflow.

Cons

I get frustrated that everything is so date-driven. When a deduction has already ended and I need to fix something, I must reactivate it first just to make the adjustment which feels unnecessarily complicated to me. Review Title: Date-heavy system complicates corrections for daily use

Strong base but slow updates

Pros

there are so many ways to customize it while still keeping my data safe and intact. The reporting capabilities are powerful and I love how well notifications and automation run. On top of that, there's a comprehensive learning hub full of high-quality training materials.

Cons

updates take far too long to be released exactly when I need them and that delay can really be frustrating for me.

All together but not in sync

Pros

I really appreciate having everything centralized , recruiting, time tracking, onboarding and payroll all play nicely together. It makes life so much easier to have these features unified instead of hopping between different platforms.

Cons

One frustrating aspect for me is the support, especially when parts of the system don't talk to each other. I frequently end up filing separate tickets with both the Core and UTM teams just to get an issue fully fixed.

A great and easy system

Pros

how smooth this platform is, particularly given the SAAS configuration. The onboarding and training they offer are without a doubt, the finest I've faceed from any vendor throughout my career. It's truly a world-class solution that delivers results.

Cons

dealing with the separate BI platform and its integration can be pretty frustrating at times. I wish UTA were integrated directly into Ultipro rather than being standalone , that change would align things and make the workflow a lot smoother.

Works good but could be better

Pros

It is extremely easy to use. Our team relies on most of the HR modules and having everything consolidated in a single spot simplifies our processes significantly.

Cons

I think the recruiting module desperately needs significant updates and enhancements to function more effectively for our hiring needs.

My go to tool

Pros

the interface is user-friendly and keeping everything operating without hiccups has been far easier than with other platforms I've tried.

Cons

When I try to look up answers or particular topics in the revamped Customer Success Portal, it comes across as pretty clumsy and I haven't used the community forums at all since they rolled out the update.

Powerful but pricey

Pros

very smooth and easy to use the interface and the Business Intelligence tools perform exceptionally well for what our team requires.

Cons

the price quickly becomes steep, particularly whenever we try to include extra modules , it feels like they hit our budget hard with those additional charges.

easy balance but hard reports

Pros

I find the balancing process integrates smoothly with the reporting features and I really appreciate being able to download reports in both PDF and excel formats , it makes everything much more user-friendly.

Cons

the BI reporting feature is overly complex , writing reports feels like piecing together a puzzle when it should be simple and direct.

Good training but hard to reach

Pros

The learning center and the wide range of training classes they provide are something I truly value and appreciate.

Cons

I often have trouble getting in touch with my main contact or the rest of the team, more often than not I end up calling the rapid response team when I need help.

awsome functionality overall

Pros

It is very flexible tool. I can tailor it to fit virtually every area of our business.

Cons

In my experience, the bill for customizations climbs quickly. Having to bring in third-party vendors for integrations is usually a real pain , projects drag on forever and the fees ramp up fast.

efficient Payroll Management Tool

Pros

I rely on the Business Intelligence tools because they provide me with every piece of data I need to make informed choices.

Cons

The performance review workflow drives me nuts because you aren't able to change salaries right within the review. When I decide to award someone a raise after evaluating them, I'm forced to finish the review and then navigate an entirely separate salary update procedure. It ends up being far too many steps for something that should be simple and alignd.

Brings all our teams together

Pros

With over 120 HR and payroll people spread across more than 40 companies, I felt we needed a single solution to pull everything together. This system gives me centralized, real-time access to data that genuinely strengthens our strategic planning and decision-making. The visibility into our workforce and different locations helps me see where we stand as an organization and makes it easier to identify areas for growth and improvement.

Cons

The migration to the newer UTA and Recruitment versions has been stuck for more than a year now with no clear timeline and I find that really frustrating. They're shifting a lot of features from the back office to the web, but meanwhile I'm left switching between two environments because certain tasks still run quicker in the back office while others are smoother on the web. That back-and-forth forces me to juggle both systems and leads to an inconsistent workflow when I'm unsure which platform will be most efficient for any given task.

Absolutely love this software solution

Pros

this is the most capable system I've ever used. The Customer Support team continually blows me away with how quickly they respond. Anytime I hit a snag or require tailored reports that are essential to how I work, the Customer Success folks handle it with the same sense of urgency I bring to those issues. I reliably receive clear, precise answers within a timeframe that makes sense for every case I open.

Cons

I sometimes find the sheer number of features a bit daunting and I'd really appreciate a pared-down, more simple interface for carrying out routine, basic tasks without the clutter.

excellent Support experience

Pros

Customer support here is phenomenal. Honestly, it's the biggest reason I moved us away from our old HRIS , the help we got there was awful. Now I can open support tickets without ever being forced to sit on hold for ages. They actually return my calls and everyone I've dealt with has been super friendly and genuinely helpful and quick to follow up whenever I've had questions.

Cons

I find the dating-related features pretty tough to get the hang of and the options for future and historical dating are especially hard to work through , they're confusing to use.
