“Smooth but costly and clunky
Pros
I really like the wizard-style flow for updating records , it's easy to follow and works logically regardless of the type of information I'm working with. Also the digital, paperless employee file functionality is excellent for organizations trying to ditch physical paperwork and move everything into an electronic record-keeping system.
Cons
support is handled strictly through a ticketing system and on multiple occasions the turnaround has been painfully slow , they don't always fix problems quickly. The vendor tacks on fees for almost every extra feature, even basic things like document acknowledgments that seem like they ought to be part of the core product. Benefits enrollment feels antiquated and clumsy to get through. Building workflows takes a lot of time and there's a maddening bug where password resets initiated from the homepage fail so administrators end up doing them manually. Integrations for file sharing with external vendors also come with additional charges, which add up quickly. expect to pay a premium for add-on modules such as recruiting and onboarding. Their timekeeping feels awkward to use and much of payroll still operates on the legacy backend rather than the main platform. Performance management is limited to simple yearly reviews , there is no 360-degree feedback or peer review capability.

“Simple design lacks flexibility
Pros
Being web-based is something I genuinely value because it lets me reach it from virtually anywhere and I also find the prospect of mobile functionality appealing.
Cons
Customer support has been quite underwhelming and we hardly get any real assistance when the system needs to be tailored to our particular needs.

“Perfect HR and Payroll Solution
Pros
One thing I really appreciate is how smoothly it links up with other applications , being able to export straight into Microsoft Office and TurboTax saves me a huge amount of time.
Cons
I find having to change my password so often really frustrating , it feels like I'm resetting it every few weeks. I understand they're trying to keep things secure but the nonstop password resets make quick logins more of a issue than they should be.

Pros
What stands out to me is how interactive and adaptable this platform feels for the way we work. I've dealt with Ceridian, ADP and SilkRoad before but the support here completely outperforms them, the team really cares and keeps improving the product constantly.
Cons
I haven't run into any real issues so far because we're still in the middle of getting everything implemented. It's tough to point out any flaws while we're in this onboarding/implementation stage so I don't have downsides to report yet.

I can pull up my personnel file from anywhere which is very handy. Being able to edit benefits or tax details on the go really aligns everything and saves me time.

I find Ultipro great at keeping employee records and building workflows for tasks such as routing HR documents for approval. The self-service options are reliable and I like the refreshed web interface. Benefit file integrations run smoothly, their conference venues are usually quite nice and I also use it to handle payroll details and to verify that everyone's pay is correct.
Cons
reporting through Cognos feels clunky and outdated , hunting down the correct fields is like looking for a needle in a haystack and the interface overall is not smooth or user-friendly. I also think the payroll features are fairly limited when compared with other HRIS options such as ADP which offer more robust capabilities.

One feature I value most is the visual layout and I like being able to add notes when I adjust my time-clock entries.
Cons
I find the time-off request workflow confusing and disorganized. Occasionally the system behaves oddly and I end up spending time removing duplicate hours or figuring out strange break icons. Also, the entire accrual and approval setup feels overly complicated and hard for me to wrap my head around.

I'm excited about the possibilities it brings,there are actually a lot of features we haven't even tried yet because our organization is being careful about rollouts. The electronic reporting functions are particularly handy and save me a lot of time.
Cons
Searching for what I need within the system often feels more convoluted than it should and generating even simple reports takes far more steps than necessary. I've used other platforms where these same actions are far more interactive and quicker to complete.

It is really simple to locate key employee information and the tools I need without any fuss. The layout is clean and I'm able to assign appropriate permission levels to teammates so they can make decisions and update records when necessary. What impresses me most is how fast employees themselves can pull up their HR records and payroll information.
Cons
Handling requests for time off tends to get confusing for everyone involved and after I've submitted a request there isn't a simple option for me to cancel or change the dates on my own.

I've found that approving time cards and conducting performance reviews is really simple to manage.
Cons
After I send out a performance review, I can't see anywhere what its current status is. I don't know whether it's sitting in an employee's queue waiting for their input or if it has already come back to me for approval. There's no single dashboard that shows the progress of all reviews so I end up digging through my email or opening each employee's record one by one to figure out where every review stands. That becomes really time-consuming and clunky when I'm overseeing several people.

After I've got everything set up correctly, I actually find it really easy to get around. It offers a huge range of tools that simplify my everyday routines and take a lot of the complexity out of tougher tasks.
Cons
I still feel the time management features need a lot of work. The recruiting section was not well organized, though they have just rolled out an update and we're looking forward to testing it out sometime this year.

What I really like about it is how interactive the interface feels, it's a single place for everything from handling compensation and W2s to tracking PTO. Submitting time-off requests is simple and I can quickly tell which holidays have been approved. I also find the compensation module handles tax allocations well and includes helpful, clear explanations.
Cons
At first it feels confusing some areas seem hidden and I end up hunting for certain headings. I found there's a definite learning curve when you're getting started but after I learn where things live it quickly becomes a lot easier to use.
