“Easy to use
Pros
It's easy to use and helps me keep track of my team's payroll and time off effortlessly.
Cons
Simple tasks, such as approving a timesheet, sometimes require multiple steps, which can be a bit cumbersome.

“Delay in updating info
Pros
UKG is straightforward to use for clocking in and out.
Cons
There are instances when the system doesn't allow me to clock out or approve my hours for the pay period. It keeps spinning endlessly. Furthermore, during the initial setup, it took multiple pay periods to get direct deposit approved.

“User Friendly
Pros
UKG is an essential part of my daily work routine. It consolidates all the information I need about my job in one place. It keeps track of raises, pay stubs, W2 forms, W4 forms, PTO, sick time, schedules, and more. I especially love the Model My Pay feature, which breaks down different pay grades to show exactly what to expect in my paycheck. It's a tool I appreciate for its ease of use in managing my personal information.
Cons
I honestly have nothing negative to say about UKG at all.

“Works for everyone & needs tech help
Pros
I really value having a single place where every employee's details are stored. It suits the whole team, from people who are still getting comfortable with tech to high-level executives who need fast access to information. The onboarding help we received was dependable and thorough, which made getting everything up and running a lot easier.
Cons
I've found the Power BI section harder to master than I anticipated. Our HR group ends up leaning on our technical team almost constantly to pull together the reports we require and that ongoing dependence wasn't what I had expected when we chose this solution.

“UKG pro from a workers perspective
Pros
If you're considering using UKG Pro, I highly recommend it. I work as a contractor for go puff, and they use it for everything payroll, scheduling, and accessing paycheck and personal information.
Cons
There's nothing wrong with it. It's like having human resources in an app, which is nice for gig workers.

“ultipro is a pro at HR management
Pros
UKG is a great system for managing HR employee records. It also provides a self service portal for employees.
Cons
Although this system is self service for employees, it eliminates the human interaction between employees and employers.

“Effective payroll and benefits tool
Pros
UKG gives us a centralized and accurate database of employee information. It's easy for both novices and experienced executives to navigate. The rollout process was smooth, thanks to excellent assistance.
Cons
The most sought after feature of PowerBI has been challenging to master. We've determined that the HR department, with the assistance of the technical team, can best cater to our reporting needs.

“Great tool for a bigger company
Pros
As a company with several hundred employees, using UKG Pro has been straightforward. Navigating from page to page is easy and rarely presents any issues.
Cons
It appears that the mobile app is still undergoing development since some of the borders and fonts may need some adjustments.

“Made for a big business
Pros
I am impressed with how well this runs across our various locations, it really feels designed for larger employers. Integration is another strong point, we had our background-check system up and talking to it within just three days which crushed by far the month-plus timelines we've had to endure with other vendors.
Cons
I can't think of any major downsides, the platform runs smoothly and meets our requirements.

“Awsome Workforce Management Solution
Pros
I am really happy that I can monitor my daily hours and pay period totals as they update live in real time.
Cons
Logging in usually takes longer than I expect and that gets pretty frustrating when I'm trying to wrap up my work quickly.

“Detailed Payroll and Time Management Software
Pros
Employees can easily request time changes or additions, and administrators only need to click approve or refuse.
Cons
It's not very user friendly when it comes to navigating for detailed information. Additionally, on certain screens, such as viewing submitted or approved PTO requests, it's not easy to read and interpret the information.

“Possibly the worst user experience I've ever seen
Pros
Unfortunately, I'm stuck with UKG, and the only thing I can find easily is my pay history. Everything else is terrible.
Cons
Everything about it is difficult, if not impossible, to use. Want to edit a typo in your quarterly goals? You can't. Need to specify the amount of money for direct deposit to your credit card? Not possible. Requesting vacation time instead of sick time? Nope. Want to find the "Save" button to proceed? It's nowhere to be found. Trying to review your previous goals? Maybe it's possible if you remember how to navigate through the maze of screens (but don't expect to see all your goals at once because that's not possible either)

“great support with bad layout
Pros
their customer support is absolutely fantastic, they're available around the clock whenever I run into payroll problems.
Cons
Their naming conventions are fairly confusing, and more often than not I find myself struggling to track down specific functions because they aren't positioned where I'd expect them to be.

“Powerful but takes time to learn
Pros
I've discovered this program is loaded with features and I can do an impressive amount with it across different tasks.
Cons
It took me some time to get comfortable using everything because there's a lot of depth and the menus and workflows require effort to figure out.

“Payroll is better now
Pros
I've noticed the payroll system is a big step up from earlier releases, I find it far more interactive now and I can immediately see how any adjustments I make affect the results.
Cons
When I upload a CSV, it doesn't fill in all the necessary codes for me, so I end up doing extra manual entries myself.

“very slow customer support
Pros
the candidate database is really easy to use and pulling up employee pay stubs takes virtually no time, it's genuinely simple. When team members can't log in, resetting user account passwords is likewise simple and quick, so helping others doesn't cause much trouble.
Cons
I've noticed the software can lag quite a bit at times and that slowdown becomes really irritating when I'm trying to complete tasks quickly and stay productive.

“UKG is an excellent tool for managing employees
Pros
In my company, we use UKG for personnel recordkeeping, including data backup, payroll processing, tax preparation, employee onboarding, and regulatory education. We integrated UKG with our payroll systems and created a user friendly portal for employees and management.
Cons
Integrating with certain systems requires extensive setup and troubleshooting. There is room for improvement in integrating healthcare EMR systems and time management. Increased personalization of employee landing pages may cause delays in page refresh rates.

“UltiPro just gave up after Kronos purchased them
Pros
UltiPro was fine until Kronos acquired it. Since the acquisition, there have been no improvements, and every week Kronos makes changes that negatively impact us.
Cons
UKG doesn't seem to care anymore. The only improvement is that their support staff has become better at making excuses, but it takes much longer to find solutions. When they make changes to their system that cause errors, they act like they don't understand. Instead of fixing the issue, they provide us with highly technical instructions to fix it ourselves. They essentially outsource the solution to us for the problem they created and when the solution doesn't work correctly, they blame us for missing a step.
