“Smooth LMS for many uses”
Pros
For me, it's great that ATutor is available both as an open-source and a hosted version. The hosted version is very affordable and scales without being too steep in pricing. I also find it practical that I can create my own courses directly on the platform and even import external files when needed.
Cons
The overall look and feel feels very outdated, I almost feel like something from the 90s and it badly needs a GUI update. On top of that, the ATutor icon at the bottom, even in the paid hosted version, can feel like a letdown for some people.

“Free open-source training platform”
Pros
For me it is a completely free and open source LMS that I appreciate because I can develop it locally and then deploy it to almost any web hosting provider. It's been around for years, with strong documentation, modules and themes, which gives me the flexibility and customization options I need without extra cost.
Cons
I think it does require someone from IT or with development knowledge to set it up properly which makes implementation less easy for non-technical users.
