“Fresh, digital, and full of helpful resources for teaching”
Pros
I've really liked using the Deutsch Aktuell series. It feels fresh, exciting for students and the digital version was a lifesaver for online learning or when students were absent. Not having to carry books was convenient and the many supplementary resources made lesson planning easy. Autograded assignments and the gradebook were a bonus.
Cons
At first, I found the ebook and supplementary materials difficult to sort through and students got frustrated when auto graded assignments pulled their grades down. Thankfully, they could re-do them and learn from mistakes, though it sometimes felt too heavy on grammar instead of communication.
