“All-in-one tool but feels overly complicated”
Pros
With Act-On, you can manage just about everything, from organizing contact lists and automating email campaigns to storing files and building landing pages. They also do a great job keeping things current. I really appreciate the analytics that show which email opens are from real people versus automated systems.
Cons
Nothing feels truly simple as every task seems to be just a step or two more complicated than it should be. While the landing page builder uses a simple drag and drop system, the final results often look dated as if they were made ten years ago. Even though they are trying to modernize by showing real email engagement, the data is not very useful because I cannot see exactly who clicked on a specific link in my email.

“well-organized platform”
Pros
I find it really easy to get the hang of because the layout is so user friendly and well-organized.
Cons
On the other hand I feel that the ability to customize the interface and various tools can feel a bit limited at times.

“Easy drag and drop email building”
Pros
My favorite feature is definitely the drag-and-drop email builder. It makes creating and editing emails so simple and intuitive.
Cons
Some of the key functions like building campaigns or reviewing performance metrics are not as smooth to use on a mobile device.

“powerful features!!”
Pros
it gives us powerful features to easily design, test and send out email campaigns that truly get results.
Cons
nothing much but I think in order to really get the most out of some of the more advanced tools, you might need to go through some training first.

“Simple platform for quick campaign setup”
Pros
Act-On is a simple platform with simple drag and drop builders for emails, forms and landing pages. Also setting up campaigns with multiple customer interactions is a quick process.
Cons
The recent update to the email editor has actually made designing messages more awkward. They have not made it mandatory for everyone yet but I came to know that it's set to become the only option eventually.

“Useful analytics for sales and marketing alignment”
Pros
The platform delivers useful analytics that support both attracting and outreaching to customers which helps sync up the sales and marketing teams.

Well the cost is a bit steep when we compare it to other similar platforms on the market.

“Helps automates routine jobs”
Pros
For our work in aviation, Act-On has been a great resource for improving our marketing. It automates routine jobs efficiently which gives me more time to concentrate on creative planning and developing better content.
Cons
Although it allows for a good deal of customization, I feel like leveraging the more powerful features might demand a stronger technical background.

“quick and efficient lead contact system”
Pros
The service I get from this tool is completely different from my previous tools. We have found a much quicker way to contact our leads via text and email. Also it is very efficient and saves us a lot of time. Gathering key information about our marketing performance has also become much simpler. Overall the platform is generally easy to start with and very user-friendly.
Cons
I am completely hooked on this platform. It is both user-friendly and offers a lot of flexibility. And so far every interaction and feature has been beneficial for our team. So no complaints.

“Excellent personalization!!”
Pros
Our team uses Act-On to connect with our clients on a deeper level. The personalization features are excellent, they give our salespeople a real boost and the automation keeps our marketing running smoothly so we can stay engaged with customers. We also get very detailed reports and can sort our clients into groups to create targeted campaigns.
Cons
It has really surpassed what we hoped for, helping us boost both sales and new customer growth. We have seen a great return on investment, the setup was simple and their technical support is excellent.

“Simple to use with great email design tools”
Pros
Getting the hang of this software was pretty simple and it delivers great outcomes. Designing emails is also not an issue, even for someone like me without a strong design background.
Cons
We just could not figure out how to properly sync it with our CRM systems which was a major letdown. We have since switched to using Salesforce with Pardot. While the backend of this new system is better, its design tools do not even come close to what Act-On offered.

“One of the best you can get.”
Pros
We are so invested in Salesforce, and that was the biggest concern when investing in a marketing software. Thankfully, Act-On comes with a native integration with Salesforce, so we didn’t have to do a single thing to connect our CRM with it. Other automation software we were considering was considerably more complex than Act-On, and then again, it didn’t really integrate well with Salesforce. It provides a lot of flexibility in terms of how we can track campaigns and act on them. Customer service often calls randomly to just check on us and see if we need any help.
Cons
The software is very capable, there’s no doubt about that, but it takes a lot of effort in order to be really effective. To be fair, this is the case with all the other automation software, where you need to be really comfortable with all the features to develop a working campaign. But make sure the team knows what all the features can do; otherwise, it is a waste of money, trust me. If not for their excellent customer service, we would have moved on a long time ago.

“So easy to use, Act-on is marketing automation done right.”
Pros
Act-On is excellent at automation and creating journeys, which is complemented with detailed training and amazing customer support. Our squad was really pampered by the Act-On staff, and this has made it much easier for us to adapt and learn the software quickly. And it’s safe to say that this wasnt true for all of the other products we looked at. The analytics are on point, and the data can be extracted and manipulated to create the exact report we need for deeper understanding. Also, the interface with MS Dynamics has helped us move to a proactive pipeline development program where we can identify strong leads and find out when and how our clients use (or dont use) our content.
Cons
They don’t really provide adequate technical support. They have great potential to grow and become a real challenge for all the big names out there, but little issues like these can hold them back. They should stick to exactly what their clients want, or at least fix the things that are already there. By getting rid of or updating products as needed, they can make their customers much happier and grow as a business.

“Clean and simple interface”
Pros
Act-On has a clean, simple interface that makes handling email campaigns simple. We had no trouble bringing our contact lists into the system and tracking the activity of our current leads.
Cons
Overall the look is a bit plain and I feel like it could really use more interactive elements to feel more modern.

“User-friendly platform that tripled click-through rates”
Pros
After we started using Act-On, my click-through rates have almost tripled. The platform itself is very user friendly and getting everything set up was surprisingly easy. So I would definitely recommend it.
Cons
All in all it is a powerful marketing automation platform. While a few features could be improved, it is still very user friendly and was simple to connect with our current workflow. The support team was also excellent at helping us get started and we began seeing positive results for our marketing very quickly.

“Outstanding support and salesforce integration”
Pros
Their support team was outstanding. The way it integrates with Salesforce is the best I have come across in any marketing platform. Also their system for segmenting contact lists was also the best. Since we were early customers of this software we managed to get a very low subscription rate.
Cons
It's been a few years since I last used this software, so they may have made big improvements but these were my main issues back then. Figuring out where leads came from was a huge challenge, its connection with ad platforms was weak, the landing page creator was awful, the forms had a lot of restrictions and the email builder was very difficult to use, though they did make some tweaks while I was still a customer.
