“Free polished websites for small businesses”

Pros

Developing a professional looking website for free sounded almost too good to be true but this tool absolutely delivered. As an Independent Representative, I'm not trying to spend a ton on some overly fancy website so being able to create my own site at no cost was a huge win. I put it together myself without any help because this is incredibly user friendly. Honestly if I can build a beautiful website with it, then just about anyone can. Huge thanks to them for giving small businesses a real chance to stand out in a world full of big chains and corporations.

“packed with useful website tools”

Pros

Having access to so many extra tools really makes the software stand out, from the logo designer to built in payment options and automated responses, plus a lot more. I've created two different websites using this software and honestly I'm really happy with both of them overall, it's been such a good platform to use.

Cons

Downside is the branding on the free plan especially the "make your own website with" banner that shows at the top whenever someone opens the site. The free tier also comes with very limited analytics but aside from that it's still a solid website builder.

Pros

It feels like you get a lot more than just a basic website builder with this product. It is fairly simple to use, budget friendly and comes with built-in tools for email marketing and search engine optimization which adds a lot of value.

Cons

When I was setting up my products, the ability to add Product Schema was missing. The nice part is that it lets users vote on features they want added so I submitted my vote and not long after that, they actually rolled it out. Product Schemas are available now.

Pros

It stands out for the wide range of excellent templates it offers. The platform has its own team of designers focused on creating responsive, practical and even award-winning designs.

Cons

If there's one thing I'd want less of with it, it's the technical limitations.

Pros

Everything in one place is what I enjoy most about it. I can add payment options in just a few clicks, set up referral features and customize the site the way I want without having to write a lot of code. That all in one, no-code approach makes building and managing the website really convenient.

Cons

A limitation is that it doesn't offer cPanel and because of that I couldn't integrate my desktop app login page with the website.

Pros

Having this level of control over the site is a big plus. You can decide exactly what visitors see and how they see it and being able to track traffic right inside the site is really useful. Another major advantage is that building websites is very easy.

Cons

The downside to having so much control is the number of options that come with it. There are a lot of buttons and that can be a bit of a headache when you are trying to find one specific feature because it often feels like you have to click around quite a bit.

Pros

Making my site with this tool was a really enjoyable experience. The drag and drop tools gave me a lot of freedom and I could customize everything to match exactly what I had in mind. I was able to put together a dynamic website that fit my specifications and the many built-in widgets also helped create a better overall user experience.

Cons

There is some difficulty figuring things out at first and some features are locked behind paid plans.

Pros

From the beginning the interface felt very user friendly and simple to figure out. The built in guidance and personal visual views really help you feel confident that you're putting together a good looking site and doing things the right way.

Cons

Photo editing tools still aren't very strong at this point. That said I'm okay being patient because it seems like something that will improve and get better over time.

Pros

One of it's strongest points is its excellent editor which comes packed with plenty of elements and can be expanded anytime with more than 200 apps. The blogging feature is better than average and when combined with the wide selection of templates, it also makes this a really solid starting point for bloggers.

Cons

It does come with a few limits: storage is capped at 10 GB and each website can only have up to 100 subpages. On top of that, the software doesn't include email inboxes so you have to handle that separately yourself.

Pros

Building with it feels very easy thanks to the drag and drop editor which makes everything simple to put together and manage.

Cons

The downside is that I have to wait until business hours to get support when I need help.

Pros

Getting started with it feels very easy because it builds a template around your specific needs. You just indicate the kind of website you want and the artificial intelligence puts the site together for you. After that the only thing left is adjusting it to match your own preferences. Another thing worth mentioning is that it also works well for people who know how to code and want to design everything themselves. They can simply begin with a blank template and customize it by editing the HTML and CSS. Because of that the tool clearly offers a way for all kinds of users to build a personal website, from complete beginners to advanced users who prefer coding.

Cons

Although it does mention that ads are included in the free version and sometimes even in the basic plan, they can still get pretty irritating. If you want a better overall experience, it makes more sense to go with at least the Combo plan since that removes the annoying ads. Another big downside is that there is no site transfer option. If you build your website here and later decide you want to move it to another website builder or CMS like WordPress, that's not possible. The only transfer it allows is moving your Premium Site to a different account. In other words, you either stay with it or rebuild your entire site from scratch on another platform.

Pros

Right away it feels simple to use and move around in. The biggest plus is being able to create your own website and customize it however you need. It offers a lot of value for the price and works really well overall.

Cons

On the downside the editing tools (along with spelling, grammar and some functions) could be more user friendly and easier for users to navigate.

“My choice”

Pros

Running and maintaining a website on your own works really well with this. It offers plenty of features that can scale along with your organization and the permission settings make it simple to hand things off to specialists when the time comes.

Cons

Every now and then, I run into little complexities and awkward design quirks that I just don't have the time to figure out. They're mostly minor annoyances but they do remind you that you're not actually a web designer.

Is a really solid cloud-based option for creating a website from the ground up. I was able to build a couple of websites in just a few days, mainly because the templates are so easy and helpful.

Cons

Something that could make it even better is adding more gallery options customized to different business types, depending on the kind of website someone wants to create.

Working with it felt really easy because so much of the work was already laid out for me. I mainly just had to place the items and content where I wanted them and the whole process was very user friendly. Even after the website was finished, it stayed just as convenient to manage and update.

Cons

Notifications could make it better. The admin email doesn't seem to get alerts for certain things like customer inquiries or items that are about to expire.

Pros

Making websites with this platform feels really accessible and getting around the interface is simple. It makes the whole design process enjoyable and I also really like the color patterns it offers.

Cons

It's interactive and enjoyable to use and I didn't run into any issues while working with the site.

The templates look really good but there's also plenty of room to customize things the way you want. The image editor is a big plus too since it helps create polished, eye-catching designs without needing to spend much time in Photoshop.

Pros

Launching a site is something just about anyone can do for free using this tool. It covers the essentials like domain support, hosting and the site builder all in one place. There are plenty of templates and useful tools to choose from and customizing pages is very flexible. You don't need any knowledge of HTML, CSS, databases or other web programming languages to get started. The drag and drop editor makes web design feel very easy.

Cons

One downside is that a website isn't transferable to another platform. Also some of the more advanced options including tracking and analytics, are only available with a paid plan.
