“reliable website tools for small shops”

Pros

Running my small bakery site on it has been a really practical option. It comes with a lot of features that make it possible to create a personalized website without needing to code everything yourself. There is a bit of a difficulty at first while getting used to where the tools are and how they work but once that clicks, the features are dependable and simple to use. It is not on the same level as building a fully custom site through programming but for someone who does not know how to code or just wants to save time, it works very well. Updating and managing the website is also convenient whenever needed.

Cons

There are plenty of features available to add to the site but some of them feel limited in what they can actually do. Every now and then, you end up needing a specific feature and realize the software does not offer it.

Whether you're just starting out or you've built plenty of sites before, the software feels approachable and gives you enough flexibility to create a website that matches exactly what you have in mind.

Cons

One downside is that there aren't always enough clear tutorials available so figuring out certain tools can take some trial and error.

It's an affordable option and I really appreciate how professional it feels for the price.

Cons

Like any platform, it could still use more features and broader compatibility but they do keep releasing updates.

Quite an easy to use software and it comes packed with a wide range of features. One of its biggest strengths is the large selection of themes and modules available. Another real advantage is that you can build your site for free on a subdomain which makes it possible to try out the platform properly before committing to a paid subscription.

Cons

On the downside, the software is one of the most expensive website builders, possibly even the most expensive, starting at around EUR160 per year. On top of that, many optional modules require an extra payment. I'm still keeping it for my website only because I'm benefiting from the older pricing plan at EUR70 per year.

We were able to get the site live pretty quickly and it worked well for setting it up as an ecommerce website too.

Making edits isn't very easy and better-looking updates usually require some knowledge of HTML.

That said it's not really ideal for a complete beginner. If you haven't worked with WordPress or similar programs before, getting started can feel pretty intimidating. More guidance and better help within different sections of the platform would make it much more beginner friendly.

Compared with other options, this one is much more affordable and getting everything up and running is fast and easy.

It does come with slightly fewer plugins and customization options than Shopify so the overall flexibility is a bit more limited.

As someone just starting a business, the cost felt too high particularly because I didn't need everything included in the basic package. I was really only looking for a basic online presence with a handful of features so I ended up moving to a platform with more flexibility and a pricing structure that better fits my growth.
