“Clear tracking”
Pros
Getting started with it is not a hassle even for new users or team members. It makes collaboration much more efficient and keeping track of subordinates along with their project timelines is very manageable.
Cons
I feel like the messaging/chat feature could be improved especially since it's currently integrated into the same inbox as task updates which makes it less convenient to use.

“Excellent for collaboration”
Pros
Working with remote teams has been much better since I started using Asana about 10 months ago. It's been a really effective tool for collaboration and remote access and it has helped me get my work done more efficiently.
Cons
The free trial with it has been a real plus and from a professional standpoint, I'd definitely recommend it to others. It's a really great tool overall.

“Helpful integrations”
Pros
Connecting it with tools like Harvest is easy and it does a really good job of helping me stay on top of both my daily and weekly tasks.
Cons
One thing that could be better is how subtasks interact with their parent tasks in the interface. Getting around the platform also takes quite a few clicks.

“Basic setup, awkward workflow”
Pros
It is user friendly enough. If you're comfortable with computers, you can navigate the system and figure out where the features are without too much trouble.
Cons
At the same time the software didn't strike me as very user friendly. It covers the basics but I would have structured the interface differently so the workflow between tasks, subtasks, completion and viewing items felt more natural.

“Fantastic task organization”
Pros
The tool is incredibly simple to use. The interface is modern and honestly among the best I've seen in the project management space. It makes it really easy to keep daily tasks organized and group them into folders through Projects.
Cons
Nothing really stood out as missing to me and it's clear they're regularly improving the platform. The only thing I'd still like to see is a dedicated Mac app.

“Campaign planning that clicks”
Pros
Managing multiple marketing campaigns is far easier with it. It shifts the way you work so projects stay at the center instead of getting lost in individual tasks. Team collaboration is also very simple which matters even more when everyone is working remotely.
Cons
Subtasks can be a little hard to spot at times when they're assigned within a project. It also really relies on everyone using the platform properly so some training is definitely a good idea before rolling it out across the whole team.

“Organized teamwork that clicks”
Pros
Using it is very user friendly. Plus it keeps lots of active tasks organized in a way that makes them simple to find and it's quick to coordinate with teammates across different projects and assignments.
Cons
One thing that could be better is the notification system around tagging. When someone is tagged or when I tag another person for input on a task, those alerts can sometimes be missed by collaborators which makes the process feel a bit messy.

“Teamwork magic”
Pros
Everything about a task can live in one place which makes it really convenient to share updates with the rest of the team. You can tag people with questions, switch to calendar view, plan out sub-tasks and keep everything organized in a way that feels amazing.
Cons
The layout can be a bit frustrating at times because it is not set up in the best way to see all of your tasks together in one clear view.

“Fantastic for team task visibility”
Pros
Managing tasks with it has worked really well for our mid sized team especially when it comes to keeping track of what everyone is working on. The project overview feature is particularly useful and shifting task deadlines takes very little effort. Even without any prior experience with the platform, it's possible to get up and running within just a few hours because the system is so easy to pick up.
Cons
The one downside is the price since it can feel a little more expensive than some other options on the market, like ClickUp. That said when you're using it with a team rather than on your own and especially for a mid-sized group, the value still makes sense.

“Team collaboration that really clicks”
Pros
Working on educational projects with my teammates feels very convenient in Asana. I can quickly check and refer back to my friends' tasks whenever I need to. The undo option is also really helpful since I can reverse changes without worrying. On top of that the interface is simple to manage which makes working in Asana enjoyable.
Cons
One thing I still miss is a private messaging feature. It does offer a conversation section but since it isn't private, everyone can see those messages.

“Versatile planning for every task”
Pros
Planning and scheduling everything in it is really easy, whether it's projects social posts, emails, videos or pretty much any other task we need to manage.
Cons
The thing I'd still like to see is a few more project-tracking customization options in the free version. Since we're a non-profit, we try to keep costs down whenever possible but the free plan still covers our basic needs well.

“Simple task tracking win”
Pros
Right away Asana felt like a very simple and user friendly tool for project management and keeping track of team work. The daily task email is especially useful and being able to click straight through to my tasks saves time. It's also really helpful getting notified whenever someone assigns me something or leaves a comment.
Cons
I honestly don't have any major complaints. It's been very easy to use and genuinely useful overall. If I had to mention one small thing, it would be having more SEO-friendly task links on pages so they're clearer and more readable when saved or bookmarked.

“Team task ownership shines”
Pros
Asana works really well for basic team collaboration. Being able to assign tasks to specific people and then also assign the smaller sub-tasks from a bigger project to different individuals, makes responsibilities very clear across the team. Everyone can quickly see who is supposed to handle what which helps a lot. The sliding features are also something I really enjoy using.
Cons
Getting new people comfortable with it takes a while because there's definitely a noticeable learning curve. We usually need to spend about a week training team members since the platform has so many different parts, including plenty of features we don't even end up using. The training videos they provide are helpful but it still takes time for people to adjust.

“Organized teams”
Pros
The clean look stood out to me. Being able to customize colors, icons and set up the right channels makes it much easier to manage different parts of the company. Everyone is just one chat away and having dedicated chats with specific people has been especially helpful during COVID by cutting down on person-to-person contact. I honestly can't say enough positive things about it. It keeps me organized and helps the company run really well.
Cons
At this point I really wouldn't change anything about the application. I love the way it works now and haven't had any trouble using the program at all.

“Priority tracking that delivers”
Pros
Using the color coded task system made it really practical to sort work by importance. Seeing items marked in red, yellow or green helped us tackle the highest-priority tasks first. I'm not with the company that used it anymore but I can definitely see my current workplace benefiting from it too.
Cons
One thing that wasn't ideal was the limited spacing between line items which could make things harder to scan when filters weren't being used.

“Powerful project views”
Pros
Managing several projects at once is very easy and being able to assign teams across different projects simultaneously is a big plus. The mix of intake forms, Gantt charts, calendar views and Kanban boards makes it a really capable tool for handling different kinds of project work. Integrations with apps like Zapier and HubSpot are also a major benefit.
Cons
The interface feels overly complicated and can be overwhelming to navigate. Misclicks often end up creating new tasks or archiving unfinished ones because so much of the screen is clickable for one action or another. Also some of the more useful advanced features, like smarter input forms with conditional logic, are locked behind a higher-priced subscription tier.

“Kanban tracking keeps projects on time”
Pros
Most of what I rely on in Asana is the Kanban board. I use it to plan work, follow our project progress and see which stages have already been completed. Every task in the project can be updated by status and Asana combines that information to calculate the overall progress. It has become essential for keeping my work aligned with the timeline we set for each project.
Cons
When too many projects and tasks are launched At the same time it can get pretty confusing to manage. I also use the Gmail integration for more formal email documentation but unfortunately it does not seem to be maintained very well. I have run into problems with it several times and reporting those issues to customer support has not really led to any solution.

“Flexible project tracking win”
Pros
Across different projects, Asana has been a really valuable tool. It's very user friendly because you can tailor the platform to be as simple or as detailed as a team needs. One feature that helps a lot is the project timeline since it makes it easier to see whether everything is on schedule and keeps people motivated to finish tasks. The biggest advantage though, is that the free version is almost just as capable as the paid one. That's pretty unusual now since most software companies make the premium version far better than the free option but Asana doesn't feel that way and I think that works strongly in its favor.
Cons
Although it is user friendly overall, there is still a bit of a learning curve at first. A single wrong click can send you somewhere unexpected so it takes a little time to get comfortable with how everything is laid out. I'd also say the pricing on the paid plans is fairly high especially for smaller businesses that want access to all of the extra features and perks.

“Dynamic project planning powerhouse”
Pros
It is quite flexible and works well for all kinds of projects. It handles both big picture strategic planning and everyday tasks all in one place which makes it really useful.
Cons
My only real complaint is with the limits in the free version especially when it comes to sorting columns. That said I understand why some features are kept for the premium plan.

“Flexible boards”
Pros
Asana has become my go-to tool for managing projects and tasks. Being able to switch between list view and Kanban boards is something I really appreciate since different projects work better in different formats. The recurring task option is also very convenient and saves time. Overall, it feels very user friendly while still offering more advanced features whenever they're needed.
Cons
One thing that could be improved is notification management. My inbox can sometimes feel overloaded with too many alerts. It would help to have better filtering, like only showing new comments or muting certain types of notifications. That said it's a fairly minor issue.
