“Versatile task tracking powerhouse”
Pros
Asana worked really well both as a personal task organizer and as a company-wide system for managing work. We used it for IT support tickets, planning the organizational calendar and several other workflows. It felt very user friendly overall and the customization options made it flexible enough to fit different needs.
Cons
Most of the challenges didn't come from tool itself but more from how some users handled the implementation. There are quite a few windows and sections so figuring out how to move around everything can be a little confusing at first. Even with that it still did a very good job with project and task management, tracking progress and making messaging and collaboration fairly simple.

“Handy team collaboration”
Pros
It's easy to use and rolling it out was also very hassle free. Sharing work with the team and collaborating is really convenient and since it's web-based, you can access it from anywhere which makes things much more practical.
Cons
It still doesn't feel as user friendly as some other project management tools. Task tracking works well overall but it should be simpler since following the percentage of usage for each task and project can get complicated.

“Workflow templates keep projects aligned”
Pros
Keeping everyone aligned on projects has been much simpler with Asana. Being able to build a workflow template and reuse it for recurring tasks is especially useful since it helps make sure no important steps get overlooked in the process.
Cons
Bringing new team members into it can feel a bit overwhelming at first. That said a quick video call to walk them through how we handle task statuses, milestones and due dates usually clears up any confusion right away.

“all in one task management win”
Pros
Having all of our ideas, tasks and projects gathered in one place has been amazing. The option to switch between views has been especially useful as some projects make more sense in board view when I need to see everything at once, while others really benefit from calendar view for a bigger picture look. The color coding on assignments also helps a lot with spotting priorities right away. On top of that being able to attach files or add hyperlinks directly inside tasks is incredibly useful and it works so much better than sending things around by email. Overall, it's been a huge improvement for how we manage work.
Cons
Getting started felt harder than I expected especially since I usually learn new software pretty quickly. I ended up having to hunt around for tutorials and even then they weren't always giving me the answers I needed. I may have jumped in on my own a little too fast but I still wish the onboarding process had been easier.

“Collaborative project organization”
Pros
Asana makes team collaboration really practical by helping organize project development clearly and assign tasks to each collaborator without confusion.
Cons
One thing that still feels missing is a Gantt chart view to better summarize tasks and their hierarchy and the client-sharing side could use more development as well.

“amazing for team task tracking”
Pros
Handling several projects and tasks has been much more manageable with Asana. It lets me break work into subtasks, share items with teammates and keep everything updated with notes and attached documents.
Cons
My only frustration is that a task can be assigned to just one person. There are times when two people need to be responsible for the same task and it doesn't seem to support that.

“Fantastic for team project visibility”
Pros
Keeping up with both daily tasks and long-term projects is really easy and it also makes it simple to see what everyone else on the team is working on.
Cons
A few of the visual elements feel a bit unappealing especially the Board view and the weekly calendar tends to display too many past days instead of focusing more on the current and upcoming ones.

“Powerful project tracking for teams”
Pros
It finds a nice balance between being a simple task and project management tool while still offering the powerful features needed for more serious project work. It stays simple and practical for tracking tasks, managing projects and delegating work which makes it especially helpful for team members who are not very tech-savvy or do not have formal project management training.
Cons
One part that seems a little awkward is task reassignment and workflow since it's not very user friendly. Because of that you can end up constantly reassigning project leaders just to keep tasks moving and get things completed.

“Better task ownership”
Pros
Keeping work on schedule has been much easier with Asana and it gives me a clear view of who is accountable for each specific task or activity.

it has been working really well for me. Before switching to it I was using a different tool and it just did not deliver the results I was looking for.

“Quick onboarding”
Pros
Compared with other tools this one has a very small learning curve which makes onboarding employees into the software much easier. It's also nice that everyone can set up their boards the way they prefer, whether that's a list view or kanban. The desktop app seems fast and reliable too.
Cons
I would have preferred a native desktop application. We'd also use it for more of our processes if it supported SLAs.

“Custom dashboard”
Pros
Being able to arrange the dashboard the way I prefer really saves me time and that customized interface makes daily work much more efficient. The best part of the app is task assignment with reminders since it keeps everything organized and on schedule with good management. Also I really enjoy using the calendar feature. It's convenient to communicate with team members who handle photo retouching and sharing information there makes collaboration much simpler. On top of that it gives you a nice variety of features to explore before actually purchasing it.
Cons
It would be much better if I could connect it with other software I already use. Integrations with Photoshop, Gmail and even WeTransfer would be a big plus and would make the app much more efficient for my workflow. Also, I still have some concerns about how the mobile version of the application works.

“Flexible workflows”
Pros
It is an incredibly simple tool. It can be tailored to match our teams needs and internal processes which has made it very practical for the way we work. Using workspaces, tags and projects helps us keep everything organized and easy to access whenever we need it.
Cons
At the beginning, it was missing a few features we really needed so we had to manage without them or come up with workarounds. Since then though those features have been added and the platform has improved a lot.

“Friendly interface”
Pros
Even the free version gives you plenty of project management features. When you upgrade to the paid plan, it adds a range of tools that really help with daily work, all within a simple and easy to use interface.
Cons
When it comes to automation though, it still feels a bit limited. Integrations, shortcuts, AI, automatic suggestions, business rules and other built-in capabilities could be stronger to make the platform feel more complete. In trying to keep things simple some useful functions end up missing.

“Kanban flow keeps work moving”
Pros
The Kanban workflow is the most useful part of my day to day work. Also it is easy to use and lets me add plenty of columns without getting in the way.
Cons
When filling in task details I wish there were more media options available. I also tend to forget to make my task visible to the rest of the team.

“Paperless workflow win”
Pros
Asana is the tool that finally replaced our stacks of paper, sticky notes all over the place and an inbox packed with random one-off or project-related emails.
Cons
It does far more than I or our small company really need with fewer than 10 employees. Having so many features can make staying organized feel more complicated At first but using it regularly has helped me find my way around and focus on the tools that are actually useful for us.

“Reliable task visibility, awkward workflow fit”
Pros
Project and task management has no shortage of options, from all in one platforms like Basecamp to piecing together tools such as Slack, Trello, Jira, Todoist and Asana. Within that space, Asana does a pretty decent job at its core purpose. It makes it very clear who owns each task and when it needs to be completed. You can either look at the bigger picture across projects or dive into the finer details when needed. That covers what most people use it for and it handles that reasonably well. Another advantage is that the free plan is quite generous.
Cons
At the same time I've had a hard time making it look natural in my day to day workflow. I'm not sure whether it's the interface, the desktop experience being web-based or just something about the overall design but it doesn't really match the way I think about work. Going into it to create a task, assign it and then keep track of updates often feels like a chore. And it's not just me but several people on my team seem to struggle with that as well.

“Clear timelines”
Pros
Keeping projects organized is very easy with this tool. The lists and timeline view make it simple to follow ongoing tasks and I really appreciate how it tracks project milestones along the way. The pricing also feels reasonable when you're working with a small team. Another useful part is the analytics section which gives a good overview of project activity. I'd definitely recommend it because it's user friendly and the dashboard is very clear to read.
Cons
I don't have any real complaints about the features because the platform works really well. The only small downside is that the pricing is a bit higher than Basecamp.

“Flexible collaboration for client work”
Pros
Compared with other project and team management tools I've used before, this one feels much more powerful. It gives you a lot more flexibility, control and freedom which really helps when you're juggling a wide range of clients with different needs. One feature I really appreciate is being able to create user accounts for clients themselves. That makes the whole process feel much more collaborative and keeps everyone involved in the work.
Cons
That depth does come with a downside which is that the learning curve is pretty steep. Even after using it for several months, I still do not feel like I fully know my way around. It is not very user friendly so anyone starting out should expect to spend a good amount of time learning how everything works.
