“Task tracking that delivers choice”

Pros

Really happy with this software. It makes assigning tasks to team members with due dates very easy and it's simple to keep track of task completion.

Cons

At first going through the task history to follow older projects and completed work was a bit confusing sometimes.

“Easy teamwork for sales”

Pros

It is a simple tool to use even without a project management background. Also it is user friendly and works really well for collaboration across the sales team.

Cons

The biggest downside is that it doesn't integrate with Salesforce or Slack which ends up creating duplicate work. Aside from that, it works very well.

Pros

Back when my company was using Asana for project management, it became my go-to tool and even after we switched to another platform, I kept using it for my personal daily workload. The task management in Asana is that useful. I can sort out what needs attention today, what's coming up next and what can wait until later and the tagging options give me several helpful ways to organize everything and keep track of what needs to get done.

Cons

Even though it has improved quite a bit over the years and mostly in positive ways, it still doesn't feel like a complete project management solution. It's also fairly expensive for a tool that still falls short when it comes to time tracking, estimates and budgeting.

“reliable powerful boards”

Pros

Asana has been a major name in task management for a long time and it really helped push the whole category forward. The gantt chart and kanban board setup are both strong and the free plan gives you more boards and features than Trello's free version.

Cons

The downside is the UI/UX seems more complicated than it should. Getting started was confusing and it took a while to understand the basics. Task management software should be more user friendly and shouldn't make you dig through help docs just to create a simple board.

“Versatile project management standout”

Pros

Getting started with it was quick and it was simple to begin using it right away. It has also scaled well alongside my company though I'm still using the free version and it covers everything I need for a small business. Since my background is in project management, I've seen a lot of tools in this space and Asana has come a long way from its earlier days. At this point it genuinely feels like a leading option alongside bigger names such as JIRA.

Cons

One frustration is that the browser version performs noticeably better than the apps which don't always update in real time. It's annoying although not enough to stop me from using it. I'd also like a better way to handle sub-tasks within recurring tasks especially having the option to decide whether those sub-tasks should repeat as well or stay one-time only. That said after using plenty of project management platforms, I understand that sub-task functionality can be complicated to build well.

Pros

Compared with Jira, it does a really nice job when it comes to building processes and checklists. The high level view is also much more organized which makes it quick to understand the overall status of work.

Cons

Coming from more traditional task management tools built around software engineering, adjusting to its project-flow approach took a while. Better training materials would definitely help with that transition.

“color coded projects”

Pros

Being able to clone projects, turn them into templates and color-code everything makes staying organized much simpler and helps projects stand out at a glance. It's also really useful to have separate teams or boards for each functional area, while still being able to keep an eye on what everyone else is working on.

Cons

It would be even better with a dedicated desktop app. The other frustration is that the platform logs you out far too quickly after being idle.

“Thoughtfully built project platform”

Pros

It's clearly been put together with a lot of care and the features included in the final product feel very intentional and well thought out.

Cons

Pricing is the biggest downside. It gets pretty expensive when you need to add clients at a higher level and quite a few features sit behind paywalls.

“Remote teamwork made better”

Pros

Keeping up with projects and day to day tasks is much more manageable with Asana and it really helps everything stay organized. Since our team works remotely, this tool has become a big part of how we stay productive and work efficiently together.

Cons

A recent update made adding tasks a little less convenient than before although it's a pretty minor complaint. Aside from that small change, the version we use fits our needs perfectly.

“Stylish views”

Pros

It is modern and user friendly, with a great set of features that make it pleasant to work in. The different view options are a really nice addition and the inbox feature is especially useful for quickly capturing tasks before sorting and organizing them properly.

Cons

The downside is that it is really built with teams in mind so it is not the best fit if you are starting out small on your own. It also becomes fairly expensive as you grow. It is not the priciest option available but since several competitors offer similar value at a much lower cost, it is disappointing that it sits toward the higher end of the market.

“Better task visibility across teams”

Pros

Working across several locations made it hard for our accounting department to keep track of who was handling what so having a collaborative tool like this has been a big help. We're now able to create tasks for each team member and clearly follow the progress of projects from start to finish. One extra benefit has been with our accounts payable process. We use one shared email address that forwards messages to our individual inboxes and it used to be confusing to tell who was responsible for certain payments. Now those emails can go straight into Asana, be assigned to the right person and it's much clearer to see exactly who has taken care of what.

Cons

At the moment we're on the free plan and there are quite a few useful features included only in the paid version. Because of that, we'll probably end up upgrading to take advantage of the additional tools.

“Top easy design”

Pros

It is modern, easy to use and genuinely helpful. Overall it looks great and I like that the platform keeps getting better with regular updates and ongoing improvements.

Cons

There is a bit of a learning curve At first especially when it comes to figuring out which setup works best for your needs. Team members also need some time to adjust to how the system operates.

Pros

Creating tasks for yourself is pretty easy and it works really well for onboarding new team members because you can save templates for entire project plans.

Cons

Task prioritization isn't all that effective right now. I really wish that part were a bit more refined because it would make the product feel much more complete.

Our company uses this to keep track of projects across different teams and it has been really useful. It helps everyone stay informed about where things stand and gives clear visibility into the progress of each project.

Cons

It works very well when people consistently follow through on their projects but it can fall short if team members are not marking tasks complete as they finish them.

The collaboration side of it has been really helpful. It makes it very simple and easy for my team to keep up with what everyone is working on and stay aligned.

Cons

At times some features feel a bit limited or the platform makes me jump in and handle things manually instead of fitting naturally into my workflow.

Keeping up with my daily to-do list has been brilliant with Asana. My team uses it too which makes it really useful for assigning tasks, checking items off as they're completed and staying on top of everything together. I also really appreciate the different view options since I can switch between a board, a list or a calendar depending on what I need.

Cons

Getting started was the toughest part for me and I ended up needing help from my VA to get everything set up properly. It had been recommended to me before but I still didn't find the initial setup very user friendly.

Keeping track of my work in it is really easy because I can organize tasks in lots of different ways and collaborate with other people on each individual task without any hassle.

Cons

At times figuring out how to do certain things can take a bit of trial and error and options like the settings could definitely be made more visible.

It is easy to use even without any prior experience using it. Adding tasks and moving them around is quick and hassle free and being able to assign one task to two different projects is especially useful.

Cons

To me the only real downside is that a few features are locked because I'm using the free version.

The pricing seems a little high and it doesn't include enough features for some of our industry-specific needs so we ended up making custom adjustments.

Several of my clients send me work through Asana and it makes everything very clear. I can quickly see what needs to be done and upload the finished documents without any confusion.

Cons

Trying to roll it out with my own team was a completely different story though. The setup process felt like a nightmare and was much harder than I expected.
