color coded task tracking win

Pros

Working from a shared Asana board with one of our vendors has been really helpful for keeping ongoing projects organized. Everyone can see which items need attention first, while smaller tasks are still visible and less likely to get missed. The color coded tags are especially useful for marking high, medium and low priority work at a glance.

Cons

Something that feels missing is the ability to add a start date to a task along with the end date which would make it much easier to plan out projects that haven't begun yet.

Powerful task tracking visuals

Pros

Keeping track of tasks, editing them and adjusting projects and owners to fit different needs works really well in it. The platform also presents everything in a nice visual way and the graphical features are strong enough to make project management clearer and more engaging.

Cons

There's a slight bit of inflexibility in some situations when moving or editing tasks although that could just come down to user error on my side.

user friendly project sharing

Pros

It is a simple tool and learning how everything works didn't take much effort at all. Overall it is a very approachable tool and sharing projects with different users works really well.

Cons

There isn't much to complain about at this point. I've only used it a handful of times so I'd need more time with it before I can give a full evaluation.

Task delegation done right

Pros

Getting projects organized with this tool has been very easy and assigning tasks across the team is simple. It's a really effective way to set up a project and keep track of everyone's progress as the work moves along.

Cons

There honestly aren't any major downsides that stand out. The app is very user friendly. If anything, it might feel a little too basic for more complex projects but for what our team needs, it works extremely well.

Affordable project tracking value

Pros

Compared with other tools in this category, the pricing feels quite reasonable and budget-friendly.

Cons

Customization is more limited than I'd prefer and its integrations with other apps don't work very well.

Flexible planning

Pros

Working with my team in it has been really helpful because it lets us collaborate on projects and tasks without any hassle. The Gantt chart makes project planning much more effective since we can clearly visualize the activities connected to each project. I also appreciate that the resource space is unlimited so we can keep adding resources to projects and easily see which projects are dependent on them or assigned to them.

Cons

there are very few downsides that come to mind when using this software. The features are well built and responsive to what I need for managing projects and daily tasks. If there's one area that could be better, it would be the video tutorials since some features are still not covered there.

Useful task visibility

Pros

It is pretty easy to use and the integrations are really helpful. It gives us a clear view of every task and how far along each one is. Because of that it can even replace other tools like JIRA in some cases.

Cons

There's definitely a learning curve for new users at the beginning. It also doesn't allow one task to be assigned to multiple people which is limiting. Another missing piece is the lack of work logging or time tracking for projects and tasks.

Clear task tracking experience

Pros

The interface feels clear and detailed which makes adding new tasks or updating existing ones really simple. Everything you need is visible in one place so you don't have to dig around to find important details.

Cons

Getting around the UI could be confusing At times especially since several sections were locked behind a paywall and our team didn't end up using them. I sometimes felt stuck going in circles just trying to reach a specific view.

Ideal task tracking that delivers

Pros

Keeping up with tasks and goals feels much more manageable with this software, whether they're big priorities or smaller to-dos. Asana also makes collaboration really useful since you can share your task lists and goals with other people. Anyone you share them with can jump in, add ideas and contribute to the list which makes it even more valuable. Definitely worth it.

Cons

At first it took a little while to click for me. It felt kind of strange in the beginning and I honestly couldn't quite explain why as I just needed some time to get used to how it worked. Thankfully, YouTube tutorials helped a lot during that adjustment period.

Top powerful task tracking

Pros

Creating and tracking tasks has become much more manageable with Asana. It lets me update task fields with all the necessary details, assign them to the right projects and set up projects where only specific team members have access. It also comes with plenty of other useful features and the integration with Jira works really well for ticket tracking in project management.

Cons

When there are a lot of projects in it, linking the right ones together can sometimes be a little confusing.

Handy for recurring projects

Pros

Handling recurring work and multi-person projects is much more efficient with Asana. Our team juggles a wide range of client projects and it helps us stay organized and keep everything on track. Being able to attach files directly to tasks saves a lot of time and when a recurring task comes back around, all the details I need are already in one place.

Cons

There are still a few project features I wish it included. Setting up tasks and projects also takes more steps than I'd prefer.

Task tracking that really delivers

Pros

With a team of just four people, everyone has clearly defined responsibilities and Asana makes it simple to assign specific tasks to the right person. Being able to set due dates, mark items as completed and organize work by priority has been really valuable for keeping everything on track.

Cons

Getting started felt a bit overwhelming in the beginning but once we understood how it worked, everything started falling into place and we were able to move much faster.

Reliable task tracking

Pros

Keeping both projects and budgets under control is really important for our team and it handles both very well. It has helped us stay organized, manage ongoing work and complete projects within the planned timeline. Assigning tasks is easy too since I can just drag a team member onto a task and they immediately receive a notification. It's also very hard for anyone to miss an update because progress on every task is shared and notified to everyone involved in the project.

Cons

One area where it could be better is the project progress reporting which still feels limited. It also needs stronger integration with third-party tools such as Google Calendar, Evernote and Jira. Another issue is the dashboard which can become cluttered when too many projects are running at once. With so much information packed into one place, it becomes harder to clearly separate and track each project.

Team timelines

Pros

Our team uses Asana to organize work really well. It helps us create tasks, assign owners and due dates, track project timelines and leave feedback tied to specific milestones which keeps everyone aligned.

Cons

The part that doesn't work as well is assigning a single task to multiple people. When more than one teammate could take it on, we either have to leave it unassigned which means it won't appear on anyone's to-do list or duplicate the task for different people which clutters the project page with repeated items.

Simple task tracking that delivers

Pros

Managing work in it has been an easy way to handle tasks, assign team members and keep track of personal projects with due dates. The interface is clean and simple to understand and getting started only took about a 30 minute tutorial. Also I like being able to sort tasks by priority levels like high, medium and low.

Cons

One thing I'd really like to see is the ability to assign a task to multiple people. There are times when account management gives me something I need to stay involved in without being the main owner since my teammates can take care of the smaller pieces while I still oversee everything. Right now only one person can be fully assigned but it would be much better if a whole team could share a task and whoever completes it could mark it done.

Powerful customization

Pros

Setting up this tool alongside our existing office tools was very easy. The interface also looks modern and everything seems clear, user friendly and much simpler to navigate than some other platforms we've tried. It's also very reliable, with enough flexibility to adjust it closely to our team's workflow and specific needs. Overall, it has been a huge help for us.

Cons

At this point we really don't have any major issues and it covers everything we need it to do. If I had to mention one downside, it would be the cost which can feel a little high for a smaller company. That said considering the quality of the software, I still think it justifies the price.

Timely teamwork

Pros

Asana played a big part in helping us complete a large project on time. Being able to assign team members to the project and individual tasks made it much clearer what needed to get done.

Cons

One thing I'd still like to see is a central place to upload and keep all project files together. Hopefully that's something they add later on.

Powerful tracking

Pros

Our team spent roughly four months discussing the switch from Trello to Asana, then another two months getting everything rolled out. Asana has really strong project tracking and one feature that mattered a lot for us was being able to place the same project into multiple portfolios, kind of like folders. That was important because several departments need visibility into the same work without having to structure everything the way another team does. The Slack integration has also been a nice benefit.

Cons

At the moment, we're dealing with serious list overload. I personally have more than 200 overdue tasks sitting in it right now and that alone can become so stressful that it makes you want to avoid opening it altogether. If your company tends to iterate constantly, it can also get difficult to track down what you need because the rules and processes keep shifting. Right now it feels messy although I'm pretty sure that has as much to do with how we're using it as with tool itself. We're about 80 people now and heading toward 200 so I'm concerned about how much more chaotic it could become. I also don't love that everyone has complete visibility into all of my tasks. It would be much better if some things could stay private.

Simple rollout

Pros

It is a user friendly tool and training people on it was just as easy. Rolling it out across different teams in the company was simple and the training videos are short, clear and straight to the point.

Cons

One thing I'd still want is better task customization so the overall view feels less overwhelming. I usually have a lot of projects happening At the same time so there's always a lot to manage. I also don't like leaving tasks without dates because they can easily get overlooked or forgotten.
