“Top organized projects”
Pros
Between managing personal to-dos like bills and workouts and juggling work responsibilities at a startup, Asana has done an excellent job of keeping everything organized. I use it for both sides of my life and it's been a huge improvement over the old system I had before. Back then, I relied on post-it notes and my workspace was starting to look like the inside of a pinata.
Cons
It keeps expanding its collaboration tools which is nice to see but I'd still love more integrations with the core platforms most companies depend on, such as CRMs, Google Calendar and similar technologies.

“Clear task tracking overview”
Pros
Setting up projects and tasks, then assigning them to the right people is very easy. The mobile app is excellent too. Plus it gives me a really great overview of my cases and matters including who is responsible for what.
Cons
Because there are so many features, it can feel a bit overwhelming when you're first getting started. This isn't really an issue caused by tool itself but I still can't get the reminder emails delivered to my regular inbox.

“Team visibility that clicks”
Pros
Being able to see everything the team is working on in one place is really valuable.
Cons
Getting started takes a bit of time since there's a learning curve but after about a week of using it, it becomes much easier to navigate.

“Useful lists, limited daily value”
Pros
The to-do list worked well and being able to collaborate with other team members was definitely a plus. I enjoyed using the platform during the time I had it.
Cons
Getting the rest of the team to actually adopt it was difficult. Even though it was simple to use, it did not add much to my day to day work so I ended up not using it very often.

“Flexible task views”
Pros
Having one place where I can assign tasks to myself or teammates and also view several projects at once has been really helpful. I can check my day to day work at a glance or jump into a specific project when I need to focus on the bigger picture. The ability to customize the columns is also a big plus since it lets the setup fit the way my team works.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see is the option to assign more than one person to a single task. It would also help if there were a way to prioritize items in the My Tasks section for day to day work.

“Shared task visibility that delivers”
Pros
It gives you a clear way to visualize work and keep everyone on the same page with a shared view of what the team is doing. Getting started doesn't take much effort and the free plan for teams of five or fewer makes it simple to begin organizing work right away. It's useful for tracking your own tasks or the whole team's progress and helps keep deadlines and schedules on track.
Cons
There's still room to make it more user friendly. With so many features available, it can start to feel a bit complicated especially for people who aren't very familiar with project or task management tools. The overall usability could be simpler too.

“Easy project management powerhouse”
Pros
I find it easy to use and the level of customization works well whether you're managing personal tasks, small projects or large collaborative team workflows.
Cons
I just wish the Slack integration had been more obvious. I only discovered it after looking it up and I would have loved to know about it much earlier.

“Flexible project organization”
Pros
It is easy to use and sharing tasks or information with others is also not a hassle. Even on the free plan it offers several ways to organize projects which makes it useful for keeping work structured.
Cons
Project sharing can be a bit confusing At times and that was one area that didn't always feel as clear as expected. Aside from that, I didn't really run into many other downsides.

“Highly quick onboarding”
Pros
The software is user friendly so learning the basics and adjusting it to fit a project doesn't take much time. Bringing other people into the platform is simple too and I was able to get them onboarded and set up within about an hour. While it's not the most flexible tool and it doesn't offer a lot of granular functionality, its simplicity is definitely one of its biggest strengths.
Cons
Flexibility is where it seems a bit limited. If the way you organize tasks, projects and timelines doesn't match the templates they already provide, there isn't much room to customize it around your exact needs. For bigger, more complex projects that need detailed tracking across a larger team, I'm not convinced it's the best fit though it does work well as a starting point.

“Organized, accountable,”
Pros
Running my small businesses feels much more organized with Asana. The deadlines and notifications keep me accountable and the option to automate recurring projects means I don't have to remember to add the same tasks to my schedule every week or month. On top of that the little celebratory unicorns and narwhals that pop up after finishing a task are a fun touch that I genuinely enjoy.
Cons
I can't think of much to complain about. There are a few features I can't use since I'm on the free plan but that feels fair to me. For free software, it's very complete and gives me everything I need to stay organized, productive and on top of my work.

“Top flexible task views”
Pros
It is a decent tool. You can switch between calendar view and task view while working on projects which makes planning much more convenient. Tasks can be dragged and dropped right onto the calendar and it's also helpful that you can attach messages and notes to each task to keep everything organized.
Cons
One thing that hasn't worked as well is team communication. I'm part of a team for one of my clients and I haven't come across a simple way to send them a message directly to their inbox.

“Virtual teamwork made better”
Pros
Back when we had to switch to remote work in March 2020, our teams were having a hard time staying connected and managing projects effectively. At the same time we began bringing on virtual volunteers and we were worried their experience would suffer without a reliable way to organize work. Our Communications Manager recommended Asana and it has made a huge difference. We can clearly follow project timelines, all team communication is documented and visible to everyone and we are doing a much better job of staying on top of deadlines.
Cons
One thing I'd still like is the option to assign a task to more than one person. I haven't explored the subtask feature yet so it's possible that might solve this issue.

“Quick agile setup”
Pros
Getting started with an Agile workflow in Asana happens very quickly. It does a reliable job of helping you launch and run that process without much delay.
Cons
The collaboration features and integrations were a bit concerning. I wasn't able to set up my teams and individual ownership in a way that matched the level of coordination my team needs. It came close but it didn't quite hit the mark.

“Easy teamwork features”
Pros
A colleague invited me to the team and that was all I needed to get started with this software. Even without any training, tips or guidance, it felt very easy to use. Plus being able to tag coworkers on tasks and status updates is especially helpful and the email notifications make sure everyone stays informed on both sides.
Cons
If I had to point out one downside, it would be the dashboard design which feels cluttered. Since projects are split into very small details, it becomes difficult to navigate through what can turn into dozens of threads. I'd much rather have a higher-level dashboard with clearly defined sections, while still keeping the option to drill down into the finer details.

“Fantastic autosave workflow”
Pros
The interface is modern and the overall user experience is excellent. One thing I really like is that everything saves automatically without page reloads or interruptions. It gives the same kind of flow as working in a document instead of dealing with a typical website which makes the whole experience much better.
Cons
there is not much for me to complain about. It covers pretty much everything I have needed although the mobile app still has some room for improvement.

“Worth every dollar”
Pros
It covers all the essentials and delivers great value for the price. I learned that the hard way after switching to another provider, only to realize they were charging more for basically the same features.
Cons
The onboarding experience could use some improvement. The other software I tried handled onboarding much better.

“Top clear task tracking”
Pros
It does a really good job of keeping tasks organized and making collaboration with coworkers easy. It gives a clear view of the progress on each project so it's simple to see which steps have already been completed. It also helps keep deadlines clear and aligned which cuts down on confusion or overlap.
Cons
One thing that causes problems is how tasks appear when a manager assigns the same item to multiple people. It seems to show the task under only one person's ownership. Because of that, I can be assigned to several tasks and still not see them in my own list if I'm not marked as the primary person.

“Cross-department project visibility”
Pros
Keeping track of different project pieces and assigning ownership across multiple departments has been incredibly useful for our team. Being able to review the status of each component in one place makes managing larger projects much more organized.
Cons
I don't have any real complaints about it. We just haven't taken full advantage of everything yet especially the budget tracking features which we still need to put into practice.
