“user friendly task management”
Pros
It is easy to use. Plus it does a really good job of helping me keep track of tasks and manage my team.
Cons
The thing that's missing is the ability to insert an image directly into a message. It would be even better if that feature were added.

“Proactive project tracking wins”
Pros
Instead of chasing updates through email threads and Slack messages, Asana gives our team one place to stay on top of important projects, timelines and coworker comments in a much more proactive way.
Cons
As it gained traction with our team, the pricing started to climb as more people were added. And like any tool, it can also become distracting and take up too much attention if it's used more than necessary.

“Clear project tracking”
Pros
One thing that really works well is how clearly it lays out both upcoming and ongoing projects. Since our team works fully remotely, proper project management is essential to keeping the business running well. It gives us visibility into what everyone is working on which helps prevent overlap in responsibilities. It's also very helpful for structuring larger projects, then breaking them down into subtasks and assigning each one to the right person.
Cons
I came into a team that was already using the system heavily so it took me a little while to get used to the workflow. After I understood how everything was set up though, it became very practical and useful for both me and the rest of the team.

“Clean design for team planning”
Pros
The clean font gives it a nice look and makes the platform simple to move around in. It's a really useful way to share project ideas, deadlines, files and other updates with the team. I also like that the free plan starts with up to 15 members which is an amazing option for smaller teams.
Cons
At times uploading and sharing can be a bit frustrating because of occasional glitches. I do wish the free plan allowed more than 15 members as well. There was also a situation where something posted for the whole team to view somehow ended up getting deleted.

“Indispensable for team projects”
Pros
Using this tool feels very natural and it's simple to work with right away. It makes team collaboration and managing tasks or projects much more organized. I'd feel completely lost and far less productive without it.
Cons
A handful of features come with a bit of a learning curve because the platform is quite advanced but once you get familiar with how they work, everything runs very well.

“top tier team workflow visibility”
Pros
Having everyone on the team in one place and being able to follow the workflow from the first idea all the way through to completion is what makes this my favorite project management software. The way it brings together tasks, files and prioritized milestones is outstanding and feels truly top notch.
Cons
When it comes to the financial side, third party software tends to handle that better since the interface isn't always the most user friendly. That said the customer support team is excellent and very helpful whenever questions come up about integrating bookkeeping software.

“Fantastic hub for team projects”
Pros
It is very easy to use across just about any kind of project. It makes it much easier to stay connected with teams and individual contributors, share files and updates, handle revisions, move initiatives forward and discuss ideas in a more efficient way. It really works as a central space for teamwork, letting you keep track of all the important project details, from the earliest planning stages all the way to key success metrics. The advanced integrations with other services are also a big plus since they let you complete tasks and send or receive updates without constantly switching between tools.
Cons
This may be more related to our specific setup but I still feel there should be a better way to assign priority levels to tasks. At times a lot of small items end up cluttering the inbox. It would also help if admins could define more specific collaboration permissions for team members since giving everyone full freedom can create a risk of data loss. Aside from those points, I really don't have anything else negative to say.

“Organized team task tracking”
Pros
Shared task lists work really well for coordinating with others especially with subsections and deadlines built in. It also makes it clear what's been completed and what still hasn't been done which helps keep everyone on the same page.
Cons
One thing that could be better is that there's no clear way to tell if a task contains extra details until you open it. Also when a task title is too long, the end gets cut off so you cannot always see the full text right away.

“Team workload visibility shines”
Pros
One thing Asana does really well is give us a clear overview of each team's workload.

It's honestly tough to point to many downsides. The biggest one would be the price although even that doesn't feel completely unreasonable.

“Simple team collaboration win”
Pros
Working with teammates and assigning tasks in it is very easy. It's less complicated than many other options which makes it a really good place to start.
Cons
It isn't especially detailed so it fits smaller teams better. Once our team started growing, we realized other software worked better for us.

“Thoughtful design”
Pros
Using it is easy from the start because the interface seems user friendly and everything flows well. The small touches like the celebration animation and TabB make it feel smart and genuinely human centered. You can tell real people put thought into how it works. That said it works best when it's set up properly so taking the time to organize it well really makes a difference.
Cons
Searching for a project or portfolio can still be frustrating at times. I sometimes end up clicking through several layers before I find what I need. A lot of that comes down to the board, project and portfolio setup so it definitely has a bit of a garbage-in, garbage-out dynamic.

“Organized everything”
Pros
Keeping my day organized is much simpler with Asana. I can sort tasks, goals and milestones into categories and it lets me track progress within each task or milestone clearly.
Cons
A few features are locked behind an extra cost and for us, they just didn't offer enough value to justify paying more.

“Content calendar that keeps me on track”
Pros
The content calendar and project management tools are easily my favorite parts of Asana. I also get regular email reminders about tasks that are still pending which helps a lot. It makes it really simple to keep track of daily work and stay on top of follow-ups.
Cons
The only downside is that project insights are available only in the paid version.

“Customizable workflow”
Pros
It is easy to use thanks to its user friendliness, modern layout. It's customizable enough for different ways of working and switching quickly between views and tasks helps keep everything moving efficiently.
Cons
That said it is a bit too simple for our needs and doesn't offer enough layers of organization. The pricing structure is also confusing and gives the impression that you're being pushed into higher plans. On top of that the bulk action tools are difficult and it doesn't seem well suited for managing larger projects.

“Fantastic team collaboration visibility”
Pros
Working with my team is much better with Asana. We collaborate on projects all the time and I really appreciate being able to assign tasks to myself or to other people across the organization. It also makes it simple to see exactly where everyone stands on their work without having to constantly check in or ask for updates.
Cons
Its value can sometimes depend heavily on how much the whole company actually commits to using it. When other people in the organization don't use it, I feel a bit limited since the biggest benefit for me is the collaboration piece.

“Clean interface”
Pros
One thing that really helps with Asana is the variety of filters available for organizing tasks. It also lets the team create and share documents in one place, with those files stored directly inside the platform. The usability is excellent and the Kanban cards do a lot to improve the visual organization of work. The interface feels clean especially when compared with other tools and the timeline view is really helpful for planning as a team and setting priorities.
Cons
The basic free plan is quite limited and only includes a small set of features. It's also only available on the web which can be inconvenient depending on the situation.
