Team visibility that keeps work moving

Pros

One thing that really works well is that the whole team can see each other's projects and tasks which makes it much easier to stay aligned and keep things moving through to completion.

Cons

I still haven't come across a feature that lets you create or use a list specifically for ongoing projects. Right now something that lasts a month or two has to be entered as a task instead.

Excellent usable

Pros

Usability and thoughtful product design are where this tool really shines. It also now includes a small Microsoft Teams integration which helps it fit into the suite of tools we already provide to employees.

Cons

The Teams add-on is still pretty limited in terms of features. It mostly just redirects you to the website and only supports a very basic view so there's definitely room to improve it.

Kanban that keeps teams aligned

Pros

Its Kanban setup has been really helpful for moving projects forward with my team. It's also useful that assigned tasks roll up into one tracker for each team member and get sorted by due date which makes follow-up much more organized.

Cons

Once a Kanban board starts filling up with lots of projects or tasks, getting a clear high-level view of everything the team is working on can become difficult.

all in one team workspace

Pros

Having everything your team needs in one shared place really helps such as goals, plans, tasks, files and more are all together and it keeps work organized. It's also nice that you can look at your work in whatever view fits you best.

Cons

The thing that can be a little frustrating is trying to check how far certain team members have progressed on their part of a project.

Fantastic for remote collaboration

Pros

Working with Asana has made project and task collaboration much simpler and it's the best tool I have used in my career for assigning work and navigating everything efficiently especially with a fully remote team.

Cons

One part that can be difficult is how groups and project memberships are organized when removing a user since it seems like I have to double-check that they've been taken out of every single project.

Organized updates

Pros

Getting information from my supervisor in one grouped organized place was really helpful. The page was simple to navigate so I could quickly find exactly what I needed without wasting time. I also appreciated being able to see how new the information was which made it easier to keep track of updates.

Cons

It didn't really transform the way we worked. It was convenient and perfectly usable but it never felt especially memorable or standout.

Powerful team collaboration hub

Pros

Working with multiple people on the same project is really easy with this tool. Being able to break larger projects into smaller connected tasks and assign each one to a different person keeps everything highly organized and makes collaboration work wonderfully.

Cons

Reporting is still lacking when it comes to accurately tracking project completion or seeing the total number of tasks and projects completed and it's also pretty easy for tasks to disappear in the clutter.

Task tracking that keeps up

Pros

It did a really good job helping me stay on top of daily tasks in a very hectic role. The interface is very user friendly and it made tracking projects and checking off completed work feel simple and organized.

Cons

One frustrating limitation is that reassigning projects isn't easy when someone leaves the organization. It also lacks a way to select and edit multiple tasks at once which can be pretty inconvenient.

Project organization that works

Pros

Keeping different projects separated is really easy and it makes assigning the right people to the right tasks convenient since everything is handled in one place.

Cons

The interface isn't the most visually appealing and at times the software seems a bit confusing. App notifications could definitely use some improvement as well.

Reliable integrations

Pros

Everything ran really well while I was using this product, with no glitches or performance issues getting in the way. The interface was clear and simple so it was easy to understand from the start. Its integrations with other apps also worked reliably which made using it even better.

Cons

At the same time it was missing a few important features I was used to having in similar software. Some of the customization options that felt pretty essential were either locked behind an extra cost or just not available at all.

Transparent teamwork

Pros

Asana brings together the core pieces of running a business in one web-based platform, from collaboration and communication to finances, timelines and marketing. It gives both team members and admins a clear view of how work is progressing at every stage. It also integrates well with a range of other tools, including Google and comes with useful features like graphs, templates and more. That visibility makes the whole process feel transparent from beginning to end.

Cons

The free version works up to a point but once more specific needs come up for your team to work more effectively, you have to move into Premium or higher-tier plans that cost more. Without paying for those more expensive options some tasks can end up taking longer than they should especially when they could otherwise be simplified.

Top helpful task tracking

Pros

Keeping up with the overall project work, as well as the tasks assigned directly to me is pretty easy. When a task is finished, I can simply mark it as complete and move on.

Cons

There are quite a few limitations if you're not using the full package. For instance, I couldn't create a Gantt chart for my planning.

Excellent user friendly

Pros

After trying several project management tools this one seems like the right fit. The others were either overly complicated, too bare bones or had limitations that made them less user friendly. But this tool covers all of that really well. It works just as well for basic tasks as it does for more advanced project management so it can grow with your needs. The interface is also laid out in a way which makes it comfortable to use.

Cons

One thing I am not a fan of is how it automatically loads the project view instead of keeping the last setting I used. I'd rather it remember my previous view. There may be a way to change that and I just haven't looked into it yet. Other than that, I really haven't run into anything else I dislike.

Flexible teamwork that delivers

Pros

Beyond workflow management, it also does a really strong job with task management. The flexibility is one of its biggest strengths since you can set it up to match the way your team prefers to work. Our team got a lot of value from the collaboration features especially because they make ownership and next steps very clear so fewer things get missed. The workload tool was also a big help for us when it came to balancing assignments across the team since it highlighted where some people were overloaded and helped us spread work out in a more sustainable way.

Cons

The initial setup can feel a bit overwhelming and confusing even though the time you put in at the beginning does pay off later. It's also priced toward the higher end and at that cost I would expect more complete project management functionality than it currently offers.

Team collaboration made simple

Pros

Starting a project in it and having the whole team ready to collaborate right away has been incredibly helpful. It makes tracking progress much easier since there's no need to dig through long email threads to figure out where something was left off. Also I really like that every project stays active in the right workflow until it's done so you can see everything currently in progress at a glance. Being able to finish my part and instantly pass the next step to someone else is another big plus and keeps work moving along smoothly.

Cons

I honestly haven't run into any downsides with it yet. From the beginning, it's been consistently helpful and I have really enjoyed using it.

Powerful features

Pros

Asana has a visually appealing interface that makes it enjoyable to use. After the initial learning curve, it becomes fairly simple to get around and work in.

Cons

It comes with quite a few features and options so getting started can take some time to figure out. That's not necessarily a bad thing but it may be more than someone with very basic needs is looking for.

Flexible teamwork

Pros

The layout is simple, visually appealing and pleasant to work with. Adding new members to a group is quick and it's really useful that you can belong to multiple groups while managing several boards at the same time.

Cons

The only part that feels a bit odd is the way direct messaging is set up when trying to send a message to someone else but aside from that, it works very well.

Fantastic for team projects

Pros

Asana has been an excellent tool for managing projects, tracking due dates and keeping up with progress alongside team members. It works really well for assigning tasks within standard IT project management workflows and everything is laid out in a way that makes projects and tasks simple to follow.

Cons

A few parts of the interface feel slightly less user friendly than they could be. Also once a task is marked resolved, it disappears and I'd prefer if it moved into a dedicated completed folder instead.

ideal task coordination hub

Pros

Juggling multiple client accounts as a project manager is a lot more manageable with this tool. It does a really good job of keeping everything organized and I can separate the different accounts I handle while assigning tasks to the right people and departments. It has made the whole process of organizing all the tasks that need to get done much more structured and efficient.

Cons

One thing I'd still love to see is a way to organize and reorder tasks in a queue. That would be especially helpful for departments that need clearer direction on what should be handled first. You can adjust due dates but you still cannot really rearrange task priority in a way that shows which item should be done before the others.
