Task tracking that keeps teams aligned

Pros

The best part for me is how it keeps task activity and projects on track. It shows how many days are left to finish a task and sends notifications so nothing gets missed and every activity stays visible. That makes it really helpful for project tracking especially when you need a reliable timeline and reminders to stay focused on priorities. Working with other team members is also very convenient and collaboration is not a hassle.

Cons

I'd change the number of buttons because some of them feel a bit redundant and could be minimized. Aside from that, everything is very user friendly and simplifying a few parts would make it even better.

Versatile task boards everywhere

Pros

Getting it up and running was technically easy and I can access it without any hassle from different devices like my laptop and phone. The personal and shared task boards are especially useful for keeping both individual work and team tasks organized.

Cons

It does take a little while to become familiar with all the features which can make it tougher to get every team member fully on board with using it for project task management.

must have for team task visibility

Pros

With so many people working remotely now, being able to assign tasks and instantly see where everyone on my team stands on specific work has become essential. For any new business, that kind of visibility and coordination feels like a must-have.

Cons

Pricing is really the only thing that seems likely to hold a lot of people back. If there were a lighter version available at a lower monthly cost, I think just about every startup could take advantage of it.

Fantastic for team task tracking

Pros

Working with my VA is much more manageable with Asana since I can assign tasks, keep track of what she's currently handling and stay aligned on ongoing work. It also helps a lot with recurring tasks and collaborating with teammates.

Cons

The Kanban view is a bit limited and doesn't offer much room for customization. I also wish importing and exporting projects was more easier. I often share checklists with my audience and even though I'd like to teach them how to use it, I am still torn because sharing in Trello is a lot simpler.

aids teamwork on every device

Pros

Being able to use it on both my desktop and the mobile app is something I really appreciate. It's also helpful that I can create separate lists, invite collaborators and set reminders to keep everything organized.

Cons

A little more guidance or a few extra tutorials would be useful for learning how to take advantage of all the features because I still feel like there are parts of it I don't fully understand or use.

Modern interface

Pros

After working with all kinds of project management platforms throughout my career as a Digital Project Manager, I recently started using this one and I have been really impressed with it. The interface is user friendly and looks modern which makes it pleasant to work in. Compared with a lot of other project management tools out there, it feels more up to date and I am genuinely enjoying using it. I still have plenty of features left to explore but even at this stage it has already been very helpful for building timelines and managing tasks for my current projects.

Cons

I am still learning the application so I am not completely sure which additional features I'd want to see yet. That said one thing I would like is a wider range of paid plan options since it feels like there could be more variety there.

Fantastic collaboration

Pros

Asana is a very user friendly project management tool and it works really well for team collaboration. Attaching files to tasks is also simple and convenient.

Cons

The customer support is extremely disappointing. There's no phone number to reach anyone, live chat is rarely available and communication is limited to email only. That's just not acceptable when urgent issues come up.

Versatile views that deliver

Pros

Even on the free plan it gives me more than I actually need. It comes with great task management features and the biggest advantage is being able to switch between different views like Calendar, List, Kanban and Timeline depending on how I want to work.

Cons

I am happy with the product. The only thing I'd want improved is better integration with MS Teams so it fits that workflow more effectively.

needs improvements

Pros

Asana gives project managers a lot of independence and makes it easy for them to track how projects are moving along.

Cons

Keeping all the features updated takes quite a bit of ongoing effort. It can be tough to make sure everyone on the team follows the same standards and keeps everything current. It's also difficult to fit Research and Development projects into the platform since R&D work usually involves multiple iterations before reaching a successful outcome.

Helpful organization, noisy notifications

Pros

Managing several projects is much more workable with its built-in organization system. The tagging feature really helps our team communicate better and the tracking boards and lists have been a lifesaver. I can sort tasks by project, update each status and share progress with the team without much trouble. The interface looks clean and user friendly even though it takes a little time to learn. The animations and colorful calendar make it feel more refreshing than most work apps. It's also nice that there are Chrome and Gmail plugins, plus the mobile app works really well. On top of that it's highly customizable so it can be adapted for almost any kind of team collaboration.

Cons

Getting the most out of it does take a bit of a learning curve at first. The search function can be unreliable sometimes which makes it frustrating when I cannot find what I need. The biggest issue though, is the overwhelming number of emails the system sends. I get notifications for almost everything and sometimes they even come through as duplicates. I have tried adjusting the settings but it doesn't seem to fix it and I still receive updates from teams or projects that aren't even assigned to me. The pricing also feels a little on the expensive side.

Highly fantastic for team collaboration

Pros

Every day this software helps our team stay on top of emergency fixes and work together effectively. It lets us comment, attach files, tag teammates and build subtasks which makes keeping everything organized really simple.

Cons

My only complaint is that the search function feels a bit too exact. It would be much better if it could return results with fewer characters entered.

Task assignment that keeps us organized

Pros

Assigning tasks and passing them to the right people is very easy. We used it to plan our month-end process, with each accountant responsible for specific tasks and it worked really well for keeping that workflow organized.

Cons

It took some time before employees really started using the app consistently. Since we already rely on so many tools every day, we also need something that has a built-in chat feature.

Fantastic task tracking value

Pros

Keeping up with tasks is much more manageable with this tool, whether it's for freelance work or pretty much any other kind of job. The free version also includes plenty of features so I can get a lot of value from it without feeling pushed to upgrade.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is that completed tasks stay in the same column instead of automatically moving to a separate completed column. To make it work that way, you have to customize the setup yourself.

Can't work without it

Pros

From the first time I started using it more than five years ago, I became a huge fan and honestly cannot picture my work life without it now. When I began my current role and saw that requests were still being handled through email, I was already recommending Asana before I was even officially hired. It helps me handle everything more effectively and keeps all my tasks and responsibilities organized and on track.

Cons

The only real adjustment was getting everyone else to fully adopt it and stop relying on email. For a while, my go-to response to people clinging to the old way was simply, It's in it because that transition definitely took some time.

Helpful tracking

Pros

It is simple and user friendly and I really liked being able to check items off a list while still tracking them over time.

Cons

At the same time the interface felt somewhat cluttered and not very flexible for end users. I prefer my 1-on-1 documents to stay clean so when renewal time came around, we ended up going back to the free Google Sheets option for our 1-on-1s.

Simple platform

Pros

Using it has been refreshingly easy thanks to its simple, user friendly platform. The training tutorials are very well done and make it easy to get started. On top of that the free forever plan is a big plus and while there are upsells, they're still very affordable.

Cons

I cannot say there are any real downsides to this software. If I had to mention one thing, it would be the storage limit but considering it's free, that's not something I can really complain about.

Google drive teamwork boost

Pros

One of the biggest reasons I use Asana is its direct connection with Google Drive on my Android phone. That feature lets me reach my cloud files without filling up my device storage so I save a lot of gigabytes. I can also add links inside projects so my team can open and edit files directly in Google Drive. That has helped speed up the design thinking process in our company and across our service projects. The free trial already includes everything needed to begin managing a workgroup. Its features give professionals useful tools to handle projects and teamwork, with the added benefit of linking all kinds of files and online content in one place. Keeping everything together for communication and collaboration with the team is essential for any business that wants to benefit from productive brainstorming and shared ideas.

Cons

The suggestion I have is related to the camera inside the app. When I open it on my device, there is no option to record video, only to take pictures. I really think video recording would be a valuable feature because it would let teams create lessons and tutorials directly for coworkers. I would also recommend adding live streaming features so we could show our work environment to teammates whenever needed. Right now, it is still possible to upload links from online video platforms into a project without any trouble but having these tools built directly into the app would be an improvement many users would appreciate. Because of that, I believe the platform has strong potential to add these features and make the partnership with its users even better.

Highly easy teamwork

Pros

It is user friendly and simple to work with which helps a lot with being more efficient on the job. One thing I really like is the transparency it gives around tasks so everyone can clearly see who is responsible for what. It also makes it very easy to stay updated on progress and make decisions quickly when needed. I use the free version and it still comes packed with a lot of features, functionality and useful options so there is plenty you can do with it. I also really enjoy that multiple people can use it at the same time and share everything in one place which saves time. You can manage all your tasks here and team members can join in and share updates on their work without any hassle.

Cons

One limitation is that the free version only allows up to 15 members which feels like a pretty small number. It would be better if they offered some kind of mid-tier pricing for small business owners or entrepreneurs. There are also times when quick communication with a larger team becomes a bit difficult because the communication tool is not especially fast.

Fantastic for project collaboration

Pros

Asana has been an awesome collaboration tool for projects. We rely on it for most of our larger projects as well as many of our marketing workflows and campaigns.

Cons

Getting everything set up takes a bit of effort and the interface feels cluttered At first which can be a little intimidating. That said it becomes much easier to navigate once you get used to it.
