“Fantastic for client task tracking”

Pros

As a virtual assistant this has been a really useful way to manage projects and tasks with my clients. It's easy to use and it helps keep everyone aligned and updated which is especially important when we're not working together in person.

Cons

At times I need to click through a few areas before I can find what I am looking for. The mobile app feels even more confusing and while the system itself is simple, the layout isn't always the most convenient.

Pros

Its free plan is surprisingly amazing and works really well for small teams trying to stay on a tight budget. It also comes with plenty of plugins and integrations, including tools like Salesforce which adds a lot of flexibility.

Cons

Because it's such a powerful platform, projects can end up feeling pretty complex. There are also times when tasks feel limiting since they can only be assigned to one person.

Pros

This app has been a really valuable way for our whole team to stay connected. It's the ideal platform for clearly and simply tracking different project workflows and task timelines for every user, bringing everyone together in one place where collaboration can happen in real time.

Cons

The only real complaint that comes to mind is how often it makes me log in again which can interrupt the updates I am making during the day. There have been times when I was actively updating a project and got signed out because of inactivity which is frustrating.

“Really flexible templates”

Pros

Setting up tasks and assigning deadlines is very easy. Recurring tasks are built in well and work much better here than in tools like Basecamp. You can also create projects and templates directly within the app which makes organizing ongoing work much more convenient.

Cons

The task and to-do lists can become pretty cluttered and it is not always clear to track how a project is progressing at a glance. Also, if you use an email platform like Front and have it configured to create a contact for every new sender, the notifications can generate a lot of spam-like email addresses because they seem to come from automatically generated addresses.

Pros

As a marketing team, we've ended up using Asana exclusively to manage project timelines because it's such a simple tool for project organization and team coordination.

Cons

One limitation is that portfolios which group multiple projects together, cannot be archived. Individual projects can be archived but the full collection cannot.

It is very easy to use. Also it's been really useful for keeping track of business development and marketing work for my company and connecting it with other tools was simple too.

Cons

Like most task management platforms, the challenge is not really the software itself but getting a whole team aligned on the best way to use such a flexible tool and making sure everyone sticks with the process consistently.

Pros

Being able to view the status of the projects we're working on together is really helpful. It gives supervisors a clear way to monitor progress and keep up with what's moving forward.

Cons

If the setup isn't organized in a way that makes sense, it can get pretty confusing. At times I end up feeling lost when moving through projects and tasks.

Pros

Having separate users assigned to each project keeps everything centered on exactly what the team is working on which I really love. The newer option to toggle between board and list view has been the best addition by far.

Cons

Search still feels a little unreliable. Even when I use the exact words or terms, it sometimes fails to pull up tasks that clearly include them.

Trying a project management tool for the first time, I was genuinely impressed by how approachable and user friendly this one feels. Getting everything set up and figuring out all the different functions was a bit overwhelming At the beginning but after watching a few demos and going through some guides, it started to feel very user friendly and even enjoyable to use. I also appreciate that new features are being added regularly which is exciting as a user because it encourages us to keep learning and make fuller use of everything the platform can do.

Cons

With such a wide range of functionality, it can be challenging to map out the perfect project structure for a team. Even though all of those features and options are a real advantage, they can also make the platform feel overly detailed and a little too complex for everyday use.

Pros

Asana comes with a really strong feature set and the workflow works brilliantly for remote teams. One thing I especially appreciate is getting a morning email with my tasks for the day which helps me stay organized right away.

Cons

The pricing is definitely on the expensive side and having to pay per user just feels unreasonable and frustrating.

I find it very amazing and there's plenty of training available to help along the way. The interface is bright and colorful too which feels much more appealing than staring at a boring spreadsheet.

Cons

We still haven't really nailed down the best way to use it yet. It seems more like a matter of adjusting our habits so we actually depend on the system because at the moment it still feels a bit like an afterthought.

It is easy to use and does a really good job of keeping projects and teams organized especially for the price. I'd definitely recommend it to startups that want a cost-effective tool they can grow their business with.

Cons

The reporting and dashboard management feel a little complex at times. The interface is also pretty basic but even with that, it's still user friendly and simple to navigate.

Keeping up with projects and personal to-dos feels much more organized with Asana. You can tag teammates, set up project boards and build to-do lists without any hassle which makes collaboration and task tracking really convenient.

Cons

The platform is very user friendly and I honestly do not have any major complaints right now. The only minor downside is that it sometimes needs to be refreshed often to show updates.

Using it has been fantastic thanks to how user friendly it is and the strong set of project management tools it offers. The email alerts are especially useful and being able to set deadlines and reminders really helps keep everything on track.

Cons

One thing it still lacks is an internal chat feature for better communication within the platform. It would also be even better if it felt more fully integrated with Teams.

In the middle of a hectic day, when email threads, endless Skype messages and missed calls get buried, Asana feels like a lifesaver for keeping assignments and projects updated and moving in the right direction. It's the ideal place to clearly view several project streams and assignment timelines at once, while bringing everyone into a single space where collaboration can happen in real time.

My only real frustration with it is how often I have to sign back in because that can interrupt changes I am making throughout the day. There have been moments when I was actively updating a project, got logged out after inactivity and then had to log in again which ended up wiping out the partial updates I had already entered.

I really don't have any complaints because the tools are very useful. At first learning all the features can feel a little overwhelming but after using it a few times, it becomes familiar.

Asana seems incredibly practical to use. It comes with a wide range of features and the ability to integrate other apps and services makes it especially flexible and convenient once it's tailored to fit your workflow. Sharing tasks with other users is also very helpful. It has been an excellent tool for keeping my work organized, whether by project or by client and the task customization options make arranging everything quick, convenient and efficient. On top of that it's very user friendly, dependable and simple to work with.

Cons

That said it does take a fairly big time investment to fully understand everything the platform can do. Setting up the ideal layout and structure for a team can also take a while because there are so many functional tools available. Overall though, it remains a very useful piece of software.

“Best visibility across projects”

Pros

After working with a lot of project management tools over the years, this one is clearly the best I have used. It makes it simple to view all of my own projects, understand how they connect to larger cross-functional initiatives and even check what other people are working on. That kind of visibility helps me manage my time better and also gives my coworkers a clear view of my workload, just like I can see theirs.

Cons

there's almost nothing I dislike about it. The only issue that comes to mind is that there isn't a good way to merge or split multiple logins. I use it for two different businesses and I wish signing into one account didn't limit what I can see in the other.

While working with a team on a full website overhaul, Asana gave us plenty of useful capabilities. It definitely had the tools to support a project of that size although at times it felt more packed with features than we actually needed which made the workspace seem a bit cluttered.

Cons

For smaller tasks that could have been handled with a basic shared checklist, it felt like overkill. Because of that, we ended up leaving a lot of the available features unused.
