“Email to task workflow is amazing”
Pros
Managing all of my projects is really easy. The feature I use the most is being able to BCC the email address and turn an email directly into a task, while also keeping the entire email conversation saved in the task's notes section.
Cons
It covers almost everything I need from project management software so I don't have many complaints. That said I think it would see broader adoption across our organization if it had a desktop app for Windows.

“Easy task tracking hub”
Pros
Running a small team has been much more organized with this tool. I have been using it for about a year and it's been very simple to work with the whole time. The interface is user friendly and one thing I really like is how well it inetgrates with many third-party services. It also lets you attach files and documents directly to each task which helps keep everything together in one place.
Cons
One thing that gets frustrating is that, by default, every action triggers an email to everyone involved in the task. That can quickly fill up your inbox and make it harder to notice the messages that actually matter.

“Task prioritization done right”
Pros
Being able to arrange my tasks exactly the way I need is probably my favorite part of using it. Prioritizing work matters a lot and this platform makes that process really effective.
Cons
At times connecting and communicating with software outside of it can be frustrating. Since so many different tools are used every day, that's a tough issue to fully solve.

“Project organization done right”
Pros
Keeping team projects and pending task lists organized is where Asana really shines. It also works well for setting up individual projects or goals that can be shared only with specific people which is very useful when privacy matters.
Cons
The interface doesn't feel especially user friendly and it can take some effort to train new employees on how to use it. Certain features or items in the app are also a little harder to locate than they should be.

“Very feature-packed task management”
Pros
One thing I really appreciate is that they keep rolling out new features. A lot of the newer additions end up in the premium plans first but some eventually make their way into the free version too. The interface is clean and simple to navigate and overall it's a very capable task management platform.
Cons
Earlier on, switching between views took a while to become available since at the start of a project you had to commit to either board or list. That's been fixed now so changing views is possible. I have been using it for a very long time so I still remember when everything was free and new features didn't come with access limits but I also get that the company has to monetize the product.

“Helpful checklists”
Pros
The checklist feature was probably the best part for me. Setting them up was pretty simple and convenient.
Cons
Even though the checklists were my favorite feature, I had a hard time understanding where they fit into the bigger workflow. You can pull up a task list but that felt pretty overwhelming from a planning standpoint. It also didn't organize tasks by project or in a way that made them easier to map out clearly for me. It mostly sorted everything by date which wasn't the most useful setup in my case. At the time I was using it, there wasn't a board view and that was a big reason I chose Trello instead since Trello already had that option. Not being able to group tasks more clearly was a major issue for me. It does have that feature now and the interface looks really modern which is definitely an improvement. Still, I'd really like to have a calendar view for tasks similar to what Trello offers. I also don't really see a way to view all projects in one place although that may be something Trello handles better with Planyway. That's still a pretty significant drawback for me.

“Fast task tracking”
Pros
Keeping up with pending tasks and updates is pretty easy. It loads quickly, the mobile app performs really well and the notifications are clear enough that nothing gets missed.
Cons
The free plan feels too restricted for everyday or professional use. To unlock the features that really make it useful, you have to move to a paid version. That limitation is why I ended up switching to ClickUp especially since its free version gives me more reporting options.

“Helpful tagging”
Pros
Tagging teammates works really well because anyone can mention a user and that person gets an email notification with a direct link to the task. It's also useful that the admin can update task statuses clearly, such as in progress, complete, assigned and more.
Cons
The desktop interface is too cluttered. Users also end up seeing posts that seem unrelated to their other tasks and finding conversations tied to completed tasks is not very easy.

“Productivity boost for teams”
Pros
It's refreshing to use a platform that's genuinely focused on improving productivity in project management while also making team communication much simpler.
Cons
There does seem to be a lot happening in the interface. That could partly come from not using it enough to learn all the details but moving between projects and tasks didn't feel very user friendly from an organizational standpoint.

“Organized task tracking”
Pros
Asana makes it simple to set up multiple tasks in a well-organized way. You can assign team members, add goals and due dates and receive email notifications whenever something gets updated.
Cons
One thing I'd like to see improved is a simpler way to duplicate tasks.

“Fantastic free plan”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages for me is the free plan which is incredibly valuable for someone like me. It also integrates with a wide range of tools such as Slack and Dropbox and the time management features have been especially important in helping me stay organized.
Cons
Getting started with the software was not very user friendly for me At first and one limitation that stood out was only being able to assign a task to a single person.

“Very task tracking that keeps teams aligned”
Pros
Keeping projects organized is much simpler with this tool because I can assign tasks to my team members and to myself so everyone is clear on what needs to get done and by when. All the important details stay attached to each task which helps avoid confusion. We can also share early drafts for feedback and discussion and once everything is approved, the final files can be uploaded and stored with the completed task.
Cons
This area has improved quite a bit over the last few years but there are still some file types attached to tasks that cannot be previewed inside the app. It would also be really helpful for our workflow if a single task could be assigned to more than one team member.

“Clear deadlines, stronger teamwork”
Pros
Clear deadlines are one of the best parts and it really helps build engagement across the organization when people are collaborating.
Cons
The tougher part is getting people to actually use it, more than learning the software itself. It could probably do more to feel engaging.

“Helpful and fast”
Pros
Asana is fast and thoughtfully designed. It's a flexible, user friendly tool for managing tasks and keeping workflows organized.
Cons
The only downside I have run into so far is when working on graphics-heavy projects, where it was a bit hard to use.

“Flexible workflow companion”
Pros
A very user friendly, flexible and modern tool for managing projects, tasks and workflows. It does a really good job of keeping everything organized so you can stay focused on goals, ongoing projects and day to day tasks.
Cons
One limitation is that a task cannot be assigned to more than one person and the feature set feels a bit restricted when dealing with more complex project management needs.

“Team tracking that clicks”
Pros
Being able to use it without much friction was a big plus and I especially liked how it let me follow project progress while keeping everyone on the team aligned.
Cons
There is a bit of a learning curve At first mostly around getting everyone on board. It takes some time to understand what really needs to be added and what does not. The point is to finish the project, not spend the whole day trying to make the setup perfect.

“Keeps me grounded”
Pros
Between getting distracted easily and being pretty forgetful, Asana has been a huge help. It keeps me grounded, helps me stay in communication with my CEO and makes sure I don't lose sight of what needs to get done each day.
Cons
I have only used the free trial version so my access to some features was limited and I haven't really been able to explore everything yet. During my first few months, I also ran into some problems setting up communication emails with my CEO although that eventually seemed to resolve itself. I am guessing it was just a glitch on their side that got fixed.

“Project tracking that delivers”
Pros
Across the company, it makes it simple to keep tabs on active projects and stay updated on everything that's moving forward.
Cons
Duplicating tasks could use a faster shortcut or a more convenient option. It would also help a lot if it worked more like Google Calendar, where you can mark something as a one-time or recurring event and have it automatically fill out the rest of the year.

“Easy project organization”
Pros
The way this application is organized is one of its best qualities. It is very easy to use and it works well across all kinds of projects. I also appreciate that it lets you either dive into the small details or step back and get a high-level view of everything going on.
Cons
A few people seem to have trouble getting started with the tool so the onboarding process could definitely be improved. Even though it felt pretty easy to me, I can understand why subtasks might be confusing for some users.

“Versatile templates for team alignment”
Pros
One thing that really works well in Asana is the variety of templates and the different ways it lets you manage and run projects across all kinds of work. A good example is the weekly meeting template which I use regularly and often recommend to my clients. We set up sections to match key parts of the business like marketing, operations, accounts, warehouse and more. That way, discussion points from the weekly meeting are captured properly and then assigned to the right projects and team members for follow-through. It's a very effective collaboration tool and helps keep everyone aligned and accountable.
Cons
The pricing can be a bit much for smaller businesses especially if you're managing multiple clients or projects under one account and need each project to stay private. For freelancers or small agencies, the cost feels too high.
