“Team productivity game changer”
Pros
After making a few adjustments in Asana, I was able to improve how my IT team works by letting them manage more projects independently while still using the admin view and reporting tools. That shift was a total game changer for me as the admin and manager of a team of up to 15 IT users. It does take a little time to experiment with the features but day by day my team has become more efficient with both project tracking and task management.
Cons
The one thing keeping me from calling this a full 10/10 is the customer support. There's no live chat option and that makes it really frustrating and time-consuming to search through help articles and forums just to get answers. I am someone who usually does a lot of research before reaching the point of asking support for help so if I am reaching out, it means I have already spent a lot of time trying to solve it myself. Some of the answers I needed were not easy to find and I spent nearly three weeks figuring certain features out on my own. A live chat feature would absolutely push this to a 10/10 for me.

“Helpful reminders wins”
Pros
The platform is easy to use and it does a really good job of keeping everything organized. The daily reminders are especially useful when deadlines are coming up quickly. I also travel a lot for work and when I am away from the office, it lets me stay on top of project progress without needing to send a bunch of emails.
Cons
They're always updating the platform and looking for ways to make it better which I appreciate but sometimes the layout changes without any notice and that can be an unpleasant surprise.

“Better control, fewer meetings”
Pros
At first I wasn't really sure why we had started using it but that changed over time. Once it clicked, it noticeably cleaned up my inbox and cut down the number of meetings and random requests coming from my team. I ended up feeling much more in control of both my work and my business. Thanks for that.
Cons
The onboarding and marketing really aren't its strongest points. It's the kind of product where you don't fully understand why you need it until you've already been using it. Even their half-page New York Times ad felt vague and hard to understand which seems pretty typical for venture-backed software companies. I do hope they stick around but they could do a much better job explaining the value to prospects instead of relying on dev engineers who are often pretty sidelined at startups.

“Task planning that keeps everything clear”
Pros
Setting up tasks is really easy and it makes organizing day to day work much more manageable. It helps me plan out my week, keep everything structured and clearly see which tasks need to be prioritized.
Cons
I honestly haven't run into anything I dislike. The only small thing I have noticed is that when I create a recurring task with subtasks, the platform seems to make those subtasks recurring by default too even when I don't want them to be.

“Custom workflows are amazing”
Pros
Between the customizable fields and all the built-in features, Asana can really be tailored to fit the way you work. Being able to keep documents in one place and communicate with teammates right on the platform through comments and updates helps cut down on all the extra emails that usually flood your inbox and it also makes files much easier to find later.
Cons
The one part that feels a bit limited is the My Tasks section since it doesn't offer the same level of customization that other sections and projects do.

“Efficient team workflow”
Pros
It does a really good job of organizing team workflows by letting you organize tasks, deadlines and dependencies all in one place.
Cons
One thing that could make it even better is a smarter system that can automatically recognize the right task assignee and other details based on repeated patterns.

“Responsive teamwork”
Pros
This tool has a very responsive interface that's simple to work with. Keeping track of every issue through email notifications works really well and collaboration between team members seems hassle free. Setting up a project and adding people to it is also very easy.
Cons
It would be even better if there were a diagram feature available. Also, uploading documents or attachments into a thread can sometimes get confusing because of the order in which things appear.

“Fantastic project tracking hub”
Pros
Across teams and departments, it does a really good job of keeping projects organized and visible. It makes it possible to stay updated on progress without having to keep setting up meetings all the time.
Cons
One thing it's missing is a proper note-taking option inside the interface. If it had a dedicated Notes area similar to Evernote or Microsoft Notes, it would feel like a complete all in one project management tool.

“Flexible task tracking powerhouse”
Pros
Keeping track of deadlines and multiple tasks in one project is something I really value with Asana. It gives teams the flexibility to work at either a big-picture level or drill all the way down into the smallest details, depending on what the project calls for. I also appreciate that the company keeps introducing new features which makes it feel like they are actively responding to what customers need.
Cons
Things can become a little confusing when a project has a lot of moving pieces. There are plenty of filters, categories and tags available but getting everyone to use them consistently can be a challenge. I also think the interface could be more organized so it is easier to follow a project from beginning to end and quickly understand status updates.

“Google drive task tracking win”
Pros
Running community management and strategy solo means I really need a dependable task tracker to stay on top of everything. The best part of this software is how well it integrates with Google Drive so I can pull up documents quickly and it also lets me break tasks down into sub-categories.
Cons
The mobile app still doesn't do as much for me as the desktop version but it's only a minor inconvenience since I usually work from my computer anyway.

“not the best fit”
Pros
The calendar view was really helpful and having options for tasks, subtasks and additional task layers made it easier to keep everything organized.
Cons
Working in film I needed more production specific features than it offered to manage my projects properly. The interface also felt a bit hard to navigate and work in.

“Structured teamwork that delivers”
Pros
Among the tools I have used so far this has been one of the best. It works really well when one person needs to assign tasks to the rest of the team. The whole workflow is organized in a very systematic cycle so everyone can clearly see what's happening and what has already been completed. That makes it much easier to know what the next step should be and keep things moving forward.
Cons
The layout seems a bit dull and it would be better if it looked more engaging and visually interesting.

“task organization wins”
Pros
Keeping tasks organized is much easier with this app. I can sort everything by project, client or even software version and the tagging options make both tasks and projects even more structured. It gives me a clear overview of all my projects whenever I need it, works really well on mobile too and makes sharing tasks with other people simple. On top of that the project visibility is excellent and it's simple enough for anyone to use.
Cons
Right now it already has plenty of features to organize my work and I use it every day without running into any issues.

“Team collaboration that delivers”
Pros
Being able to stay connected with the team so naturally has made a big difference. Assigning tasks and setting up teams has been incredibly helpful for keeping projects organized and moving on the right timeline.

“User friendly tool”
Pros
Right from the start, Asana felt very user friendly and handled a wide range of needs really well. It's a versatile tool that can cover most purposes without much trouble.
Cons
That said when comparing it with other platforms, it didn't feel specialized enough for IT use. In the end, we needed something with a broader scope and more depth for those requirements.

“Feature packed for complex teams”
Pros
This software comes with a ton of features and flexibility. If you're managing complicated projects with lots of moving parts and multiple people involved, it's a really strong choice.
Cons
From my perspective the layout doesn't feel especially organized. I prefer a more minimal approach so having fewer elements usually works better for me. I also think the backend has a lot of room for improvement.

“good for tracking”
Pros
Hands down this is the best free CRM I have used for managing both customers and manufacturers. I keep everything organized in this app and it offers a wide range of useful tools that can fit all kinds of industries. The customizable checklists make it simple to follow each person's progress and I can also add notes about conversations or any specific details I want to keep in mind.
Cons
I don't have any complaints about this program. It's free to use and still comes packed with plenty of features.

“Powerful for complex teamwork”
Pros
This tool is built really well for handling complex projects with larger teams. It helps organize the workflow by letting us break tasks into subtasks, assign multiple people pasuxismgibility for the same item, track deadlines and organize both tasks and projects with labels.
Cons
One weak spot is the technical support. We've pretty much stopped reaching out because it's usually quicker to figure things out ourselves than wait several days for a response.

“Gantt planning for big projects”
Pros
A lot of IT companies use this task manager and one clear reason is its well-designed Gantt chart interface. It helps me put together a work plan for large projects and keep everything organized without getting lost. Even with that, the program still wasn't something I really liked overall.
Cons
In our company's case, it turned out to be not very useful. We don't really use the Gantt charts because they're hard to edit and if something goes wrong, the whole chart can break. Beyond that, it doesn't offer any other real advantages for us.

“Slack integration is the best”
Pros
One thing that really works well is the Slack integration since it lets me create tasks for teammates right from our Slack channels. I also like being able to follow the tasks I create so I can keep track of their status without extra effort. The option to set up private projects is another big plus when sensitive information needs to stay limited to certain people. On top of that the search feature helps me check whether a similar task already exists which cuts down on duplicated work.
Cons
Although the Slack integration is very useful, it does have a limitation that bothers me. I can format tasks more precisely when I create them directly in it including using custom input fields to make sure all the necessary details are captured properly. But when tasks are created from Slack, those customized fields are not available so the information ends up being less complete and not as well organized.
