Teamwide project tracking win

Pros

Across our organization it has been a really practical way to keep projects on track. It's simple to use and adding comments, checking status updates and assigning tasks all feel very easy. Before we had it, we were relying on emails to manage projects and programs which took a lot of time and was not a dependable way to work. This ended up being exactly what we needed so multiple people could use the software at the same time without any trouble.

Cons

I haven't run into any problems while using the software. It does what our organization needs based on how we are currently using it.

Clear team task visibility

Pros

Being able to view all the work and tasks assigned across the team in such a clear way is the feature I appreciated most.

Cons

At the beginning a few features like portfolios can be a bit tricky to understand if you want to use them the right way.

Flexible task planning

Pros

Adding tasks for the day, week or month is really easy. You can organize them into categories and it's nice being able to decide whether they stay private or are shared with the team.

Cons

There really aren't any major downsides here. The interface can be a bit sensitive At times though.

Handy task tracking for teams

Pros

Asana works really well for small teams that need to manage projects and keep all tasks in one place especially with the calendar feature included. Another big advantage is the mobile app which makes it simple to stay updated and clearly see the active tasks currently being worked on.

Cons

From what we've seen while using the tool, we're satisfied with how it performs and how the features work. At this point we haven't come across any negative issues or concerns.

Very helpful feature-packed

Pros

Using both the desktop and mobile versions is very hassle free, with an interface that makes creating projects organizing them and adding subtasks pretty easy. The free plan comes with a lot of useful features which makes it a strong option for small businesses and the integrations with other tools help with moving data around without much hassle. They also roll out updates often which shows they are actively improving the service.

Cons

One downside is that the Gantt chart feature sits behind a paywall so you have to pay a monthly fee per user to access it even though similar tools like Google Sheets offer that kind of functionality for free or at a lower cost. It can also be pretty easy to lose track of conversations especially once a task has been marked complete and the related message has already been archived from the inbox.

Custom workflows that shine

Pros

Asana has become my go-to organizational tool. Being able to customize every list or project and share it with the rest of the team is something I really appreciate.

Cons

A few features still feel missing though, like a calendar view for subtasks and the option to color-code each label or title. I also wish the platform were HIPAA compliant because at the moment it isn't.

Clean design variant 6

Pros

Running a small startup team, we've been able to get a lot out of its free plan because it still includes plenty of useful features. The platform is easy to use and the interface seems clean and well organized. It works really well for tracking and managing projects, whether they're small or more complex. Since it's web-based, it also integrates with a wide range of integrations and having unlimited tasks and subtasks is a big plus.

Cons

One downside is that the paid version can get expensive as your team grows. I'd also love to see more built-in metrics and reporting options in the software.

Fantastic for multi-project organization

Pros

After using it for years I can say it has consistently delivered excellent service. It's one of the most effective and useful platforms I have worked with. Since I manage several projects At the same time it really helps me keep everything organized in a much more efficient way. Overall all of its features and services have been impressive and well worth using.

Cons

The interface is simple and I sometimes wish they would update it a bit to make it feel more advanced and efficient. Other than that, I really don't have any complaints about the service.

Company-wide collaboration that clicks

Pros

Working on projects with people across the whole company seems really easy. Assigning tasks is simple, progress is easy to track and the email alerts help keep everything on my radar.

Cons

My only issue is that I already juggle several different tools at work so it ends up being one more platform I have to open up and keep checking.

Better task tracking for teams

Pros

Keeping projects and tasks assigned to employees is much more organized with deadlines and check-ins built in. It's simple to add people to the team and monitor how efficiently work is getting done.

Cons

It's a really good tool Overall but it would be even more useful with stronger control over how team members are added and how follow-up edits are managed.

Very fast and flexible

Pros

It is incredibly user friendly. It's very, very obvious how to use it. I wouldn't call it basic because it definitely isn't as under the hood it can handle some really complex workflows. The big advantage is that it stays fast and effortless to navigate. It's quick to click through, quick to set up and quick to move between screens. At the same time it still has plenty of depth. We rely on it both for product roadmapping and as a day to day to-do system and that versatility is probably its strongest feature. It's also really helpful that you can invite plenty of people outside your domain into tasks.

Cons

One thing I really wish they would add is markup support in task descriptions. It wouldn't make the product harder to use and there have clearly been hundreds, if not thousands, of users asking for it. The other downside is the pricing. At this point it sits at the high end in terms of affordability. For our team of 10, it's the third most expensive piece of software we pay for and we actually spend more on it than G-Suite. Considering G-Suite covers email, documents, spreadsheets and more, that says a lot. I still think it is worth the cost but I can absolutely see how companies with a larger number of lower-paid employees might find it too expensive.

Very team alignment

Pros

Keeping everyone aligned has been much easier with this software. It helps my team organize tasks clearly and being able to add comments on each task's progress makes collaboration a lot better.

Cons

The free version feels somewhat restrictive. It promotes a lot of useful features but most of them require a paid plan for the team to actually use them. Compared with other free tools some alternatives seem to offer similar value without the extra cost.

Easy collaboration hub

Pros

The platform is easy to use. It would be even better if there were a built-in way to send emails through the system for collaboration.

Cons

The attachment feature could definitely use some improvement. Aside from that, it's been quite simple to use and I appreciate having it available.

Easy workflow

Pros

It's a simple tool and does not really require any learning curve. The interface is well organized, the automated email notifications are helpful and since it's cloud based, it's accessible even from a thin client. The search feature is fast and reliable and being able to add tags helps keep everything better organized.

Cons

One annoyance is that accidental clicks can sometimes trigger actions. Setting up the automated emails was also a little confusing At first since new task creation emails were being sent to the entire project team when that wasn't what we wanted. We were able to sort out the configuration eventually.

Versatile task tracking powerhouse

Pros

From project deadlines and customer follow-up reminders to something as personal as remembering when it's time for my next haircut, this keeps track of pretty much everything in my life. It has completely taken over the role I used to give my calendar as a to-do reminder tool which lets my calendar go back to being what it should be which is a simple record of where I need to be and when. I have tested plenty of to-do list apps and reminder tools and none of them matched this balance of flexibility and simplicity. Since it was built with teams in mind, it also scales incredibly well beyond just personal use.

Cons

I don't really have any complaints. It works extremely well and the only thing I'd maybe want added is a stronger way to prioritize tasks beyond relying only on due dates.

Pros

The tool is simple and setting up teams, tasks and subtasks was quick. It lets you add as much detail as you need, while the interface stays clean and the features are genuinely nice to work with.

Cons

One thing that feels missing is a change log. Since it's so simple to make updates, like renaming tickets or marking them as done, it would be helpful to have a clear history of those changes.

Powerful task planning tool

Pros

Keeping track of work is really easy with this tool. It helps organize tasks clearly, set up daily or weekly to-dos, share topic-related updates with the team and assign responsibilities without much hassle.

Cons

At the beginning it feels quite complex and can take some time to get comfortable with. Once you spend a little time practicing though, it becomes much better to use.

Organized workflow

Pros

It handled everything I needed and kept everything organized in a way that made sense.

Cons

The biggest frustration was the lack of live customer support. The people you chat with are clearly juggling several customers at once and the replies took so long that my screen was timing out while I waited. They did not seem like actual tech support either because after chatting for a few minutes they just redirected me to email support. That does not give me much confidence in trusting my company's operations to that level of service. On top of that the chat asks for your company size by number of employees which makes it feel like smaller businesses are probably not treated as a priority unless they have more than 50 employees. At the moment, I still have not received a response from support and it has been over two hours.

Multi project visibility that delivers

Pros

Being able to see multiple projects all at once is a huge advantage. Working in communications for a multi-campus church with a lot of events happening, that kind of visibility makes a big difference.

Cons

There's definitely a learning curve at the beginning. My team had a hard time understanding why it mattered for our work and how much it could simplify things but once they bought in, they kept discovering more tips and features that made their day to day much easier.
