Very clear team task visibility

Pros

Keeping the team organized is really easy with this tool and it gives a good overview of everyone's tasks at a glance.

Cons

The only real downside is that each task can be assigned to just one person.

Task management that delivers

Pros

Keeping tasks and projects organized with it has been fantastic. The management tools especially the Pro features, add a lot of value and it makes handling everything in one place feel really easy. everyone could use a task manager like this because it keeps things simple and organized.

Cons

The downside is that the best features are locked behind the Pro upgrade although the price is fortunately pretty reasonable. I also wish the mobile app performed a bit better and felt more professional when using it on my phone.

Perfect for staying organized

Pros

It covered absolutely everything I needed for managing my day to day tasks. As a college student, the app feels very simple to use and does a really good job of keeping everything organized.

Cons

One thing that's missing is the ability to prioritize all projects directly from the home screen. The mobile app also feels quite limited when compared with the web version.

Real-time teamwork

Pros

Keeping track of deadlines and team projects is much better with this software. It lets users set goals, assign deadlines and mark goals as completed across devices, with everything updating in real time.

Cons

Getting around the software can feel a bit confusing At first but most users adjust to it pretty quickly.

Task focused collaboration delight

Pros

It is very task-oriented and easy to work with. The statuses and project organization make it simple to keep everything on track and the collaboration tools are really well done with descriptions, conversations, attachments and notifications all in one place. The Gantt chart is excellent and the UI/UX looks modern. Really impressive overall.

Cons

The downside is that premium features like processes and automations are locked behind a fairly expensive premium plan. Another thing that's missing is a dedicated space to keep all product feature specifications and documents especially editable docs organized in folders, similar to how Jira works with Confluence but ideally with its better UI/UX.

Clear project snapshots

Pros

Using it is very easy and the collaboration across the team is a big plus. I also really appreciate being able to get a quick snapshot of where things stand in a project and what still needs to be finished.

Cons

One frustration is that people can assign tasks to me without any limits or restrictions. Also, recurring subtasks don't seem to function correctly and end up creating too many duplicates once they're marked complete.

Simple setup

Pros

Getting started with Asana doesn't take much time. It's simple, effective and really helpful that different document types can be combined and linked to external locations.

Cons

A search feature that lets us find a task across all projects would make it better. The pricing also feels a bit on the expensive side.

Helpful for small teams

Pros

Keeping everyone on the same page has been much simpler with this. It makes it easy to assign tasks to each team member, follow progress as work moves along and stay in touch without a lot of back and forth. It also helps that there are apps available across all the major platforms.

Cons

The Android app feels a bit behind compared to the rest and still lacks a few features. I also wouldn't really recommend it for teams larger than five people.

Team task tracking that delivers

Pros

Using this makes it simple to share tasks across a team. Everyone can assign work to one another and it's really helpful being able to see the progress of what's getting done.

Cons

It does send notifications to remind you to pay attention to your tasks which can be a bit annoying. I wish I could turn those off although there may already be a setting for that and I just haven't looked into it yet.

Fantastic team visibility

Pros

Asana does a really good job of keeping everyone on the same page about what's being worked on and the current status of each task. It's also very useful for keeping private notes and tracking personal tasks I am working on.

Cons

At times it can feel a bit convoluted but after a few days of using it, everything starts to make sense.

good for team coordination

Pros

Working with authors and editors is much more manageable with this tool because it keeps everyone coordinated and tasks well organized. Everyone stays clear on what needs to be done and exactly when it needs to happen.

Cons

Every now and then, after restarting the app, it loses the order of my tasks so I have to rearrange them manually before I can continue.

Very organized teamwork

Pros

One of the best things about this software is how well it keeps my team and me organized. We can set deadlines, communicate with each other and quickly locate previous work without any hassle.

Cons

The downside is that a lot of the features feel pretty restricted unless you upgrade to the most expensive plan.

help with project planning

Pros

Setting up projects, adding due dates and other timelines and collaborating with the team all work really well. It also integrates nicely with Everhour.

Cons

The interface is a bit confusing At times some controls are not very easy to manage and it could really use a better prioritized tab.

Very flexible task management powerhouse

Pros

One thing that really works well with Asana is how flexible it is. Creating projects and updating tasks on the fly feels very natural and I don't have to dig around much to make changes. It's a strong tool for assigning work and keeping deadlines organized across a team or the whole organization.

Cons

The Complete task option could definitely be improved because once it's clicked, it's hard to figure out where it went. The sub-task menu also needs some refinement to make it more user friendly.

all projects in one place

Pros

Whenever a team task has a lot of dependencies, I can just create it in Asana and trust it to move forward based on the due date that's been set. It also makes managing all our projects in one place really convenient.

Cons

The number of teams feels limited. It would help a lot if you increased how many people can be added to a single team for handling that team's tasks. A completion timeline would also be useful so we wouldn't need to dig through every comment.

decent task layers

Pros

During med school, I have gone through countless task management apps to keep my study schedule organized and this was one of the tools I tried. One thing I appreciated was the way it lets you structure everything with projects, tasks and even sub tasks inside those tasks.

Cons

There's a lot of potential in the layout. As mentioned the setup with projects, tasks and sub tasks is useful in theory. The problem is that the actual functionality didn't work that well for me. Editing or assigning sub tasks is frustrating, the description field seems very limited and the comments area could definitely be designed better. In the end the drawbacks mattered more than the benefits because I need something cleaner and easy to stay on top of studying.

Flexible views are my fav

Pros

One thing we really like is how flexible it is for different employees' preferences. Everyone can look at their tasks in the format that works best for them which helps each person stay focused based on their own work style. On top of that there are lots of features and little tricks built in, well I could honestly keep talking about them for a while.

Cons

Where it falls short for us is task prioritization. The hierarchy setup just isn't developed enough so creating several subtasks under one main task is difficult. We usually need to lay out detailed step-by-step instructions for tasks and doing that here feels nearly impossible.

Very fantastic for tasks

Pros

Every day Asana ends up being part of my workflow and I have been using it for over two years now. It's an excellent task management tool and I am really happy that we no longer have to rely on paper. On top of managing tasks, we also use it as a documentation tool which makes it even more valuable for our team.

Cons

To be honest, I cannot point to anything that feels unimportant because every feature is useful and serves its own purpose. My only hope is that the updates keep coming so it continues to be helpful in the future.
