organized teamwork and clear deadlines

Pros

Our team relies on it to set project deadlines and keep everything organized, both within the department and across the wider organization. It also helps a lot with assigning tasks to employees in different departments and makes collaboration on shared projects much more manageable.

Cons

One improvement that would make the scheduling side even better would be a direct integration with people's email calendars, if that isn't already available so reminders for upcoming due dates can be sent at the right time.

team collaboration that shines

Pros

It works really well for teams that need to collaborate on ideas and projects together. Everyone has a chance to share input and those contributions actually get seen and recognized.

Cons

Getting started can be a bit hard to learn At first but once the team understands it, everyone can add items and contribute across different tasks and projects.

fantastic for team coordination

Pros

Getting projects up and running in it is really easy. Setting up task lists, assigning work to team members, collaborating, sharing files and discussing progress all happen in one place. It does a lot to help us prioritize properly and keep everyone focused on what needs to be done.

Cons

The pricing is where it gets harder to justify. Moving from the free plan for 15 users to a paid plan the moment you need a 16th person feels like a pretty steep jump. It would make a lot more sense to offer more flexible subscription levels especially for lighter users who only need view access to track progress or sign in occasionally, maybe just once a month.

accountability and workflow win

Pros

Even if staying organized doesn't come naturally, this is still a really effective way to keep teams accountable for their work throughout a process. Every user has to mark tasks complete when they finish them which helps everyone stay on track. Setting up and managing workflows on the platform is also simple and easy.

Cons

Since it's a web-based tool, you need an internet connection to use it and it does come with a cost. That said it feels well worth the price if you manage a remote team or need reliable project management software.

flexible calendar and board views

Pros

Having both a monthly calendar view and a simple way to set up due dates or check what's coming up has been really useful. A lot of other project management tools don't give that kind of visibility. On top of that the board view is a nice addition so I can organize projects in different ways such as by person, by timeline or by areas like advertising, PR, marketing and sales. It offers a lot of flexible options and functions that are simple to use.

Cons

Notifications can be pretty easy to overlook and since I'm using the free version, a few features do come with limitations.

fantastic fit for large teams

Pros

As a project management tool it handles both simple workflows and more complex setups really well. After switching over from Basecamp and Trello, it turned out to be a great fit for larger teams and fast-moving projects.

Cons

There really isn't much to complain about. It gives good visibility across a project which is a big plus. My only technical frustration is that there isn't a simple way to view a timeline for subtasks and having that would be very useful.

fantastic team task visibility

Pros

Asana has been a really strong tool for sharing organizing and prioritizing the team's workload. It lets everyone view their tasks in different formats which helps a lot and it makes sure the whole team has access to the same information at all times.

Cons

The mobile app interface could still be better although to be fair it has been improving a lot. Even with that it's still very handy to use.

flexible task sharing

Pros

Being able to set up private tasks in my workspace and also create ones my team could collaborate on was really useful.

Cons

The downside was the interface didn't feel very user friendly and a lot of the things I wanted to do were harder to figure out than they should have been.

organized to-do lists everywhere

Pros

Keeping my to-do lists sorted is one of the things I enjoy most about Asana, whether I'm using it for work or for things at home. Everything stays organized and it really helps make sure nothing on my list gets forgotten.

Cons

At this point I don't really have any complaints. The only thing I'd like is to see even more features added down the road.

powerful team task tracking

Pros

Among the task management tools I've used with work teams, this one is definitely one of the best. It lets you create, manage, assign and collaborate on tasks without much effort and it's also very practical for keeping track of completed work and ongoing progress.

Cons

Once a lot of tasks are assigned to different users within the same workspace, keeping everything organized can sometimes become a bit challenging.

fantastic team organization hub

Pros

Asana has been an excellent tool for our company. It helps keep everything organized for employees and they can access the information they need from anywhere. It has also been a real game changer when it comes to scheduling meetings.

Cons

I don't have anything negative to mention. We've been very happy with everything we've seen while using this software.

helpful reminders and integrations

Pros

One of the best parts is having a mobile app, plus the software sends reminders about what's due and when. It also integrates really well with other tools.

Cons

At one point it stopped working pretty often but that was fixed quickly and it hasn't been a problem since.

clean design with lots of features

Pros

Our team had a really good experience using this software while managing an event. It offers a lot of capabilities and the interface feels clean and simple to work with.

Cons

It started to feel cluttered pretty quickly and the upkeep was frustrating for someone who prefers things to stay organized. We also never really figured out how to use it beyond that one project.

fast and efficient workflow

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is how quickly everything works. It helps keep tasks moving and makes the whole process feel more efficient.

Cons

At the same time it can be pretty confusing to navigate. The interface is not very user friendly so it takes extra effort to figure things out.

collaboration that kept us aligned

Pros

During our recent company merger, a lot of the integration work depended on strong communication and coordination across groups. Asana really helped bring together not just our internal teams and the other company but also partners, vendors and other external contributors who needed to stay in sync.

Cons

One area that still feels limited is the card view although I realize it's a newer feature. I'd really like to have options for adding more swim lanes and color-coding cards. It would also be helpful to assign resources to an entity that isn't necessarily an actual project team member. Basically, placeholders would make it much easier to build project templates without entering specific individuals into the system especially since those resource assignments can change depending on the project.

fantastic for fast project setup

Pros

Starting a project in it is really fast and adding tasks on the go is very convenient when things get busy. Inviting people to the organization is also easy and being able to include up to 15 users on the free plan is a big plus. The ability to switch between list view and board view for tasks is especially helpful and makes it easier to manage work the way I like.

Cons

I use it in a pretty simple way to keep track of ideas and tasks across different projects so at the moment I don't really have any complaints. A few years back it did seem to load a bit slowly but that issue has been addressed and the platform is much faster now.

versatile project management win

Pros

After using Asana for over a year, the interface still feels very user friendly. The drag-and-drop functionality works well and it handles team management, project organization, task tracking, automation and plenty more. I still haven't explored every feature it offers which says a lot about how much is included.

Cons

From a company, project manager or team manager perspective, it covers pretty much everything needed to get work done. I honestly haven't run into any real downsides and it also gives you the flexibility to integrate with other tools while tottrntu adding new features over time.

organized teamwork and timelines

Pros

Keeping work organized is much easier with it since you can delegate, assign and prioritize projects without things getting scattered. You're also able to set timelines for projects and individual tasks which helps the whole team stay aligned and the file-sharing feature is definitely a nice bonus.

Cons

At times it can feel a bit limited and even though the learning curve isn't difficult, it still takes a little time to fully get comfortable with how everything works.

daily organization lifesaver

Pros

Asana has been a total lifesaver when it comes to keeping up with my work, staying organized every day and making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Cons

My only real complaint is that a task can't be assigned to more than one person. Since most work in our company is handled collaboratively, it's pretty uncommon for just one person to own a task.

accessible interface at a great price

Pros

The keyboard accessibility is excellent, the interface looks professional and stays accessible and the pricing feels very reasonable. It's a really strong fit for small ad agencies.

Cons

Time tracking still depends on third-party integrations and like a lot of collaboration tools, it doesn't include features for managing product budgets.
